During this time all of the leaders meet to discuss, well, anything they need to discuss XD and news can be shared by them if they call the attention of all the horses in the meeting place. ~Lead stallion's and Lead mare's word is law ~Horses are forbidden to fall in love with a horse from another herd, but you can break this rule, as long as you are ok with the punishment that follows if you get caught, being removed from the herd. ~You can switch herds, though it is not very usual for horses to do that. ~Lead mares and stallions can change the rules, usually with the okay from the other leaders. ~If you break any rules, you must answer to your lead stallion. The herd lands: The horses live up in the mountains, in the beautiful green valleys, where there are threats, but the herds have never had major issues with them. current Season: Late Winter Start off: All of the herds are preparing to go to the meeting place, where all the herds meet every 2 months. The meeting place is a large lake with a beautiful valley of sweet green grass. (read traditions if you need to know more) Character SheetsNo thread generated. "I would love the company and help." She smiled warmly at both of them and started to walk away. "We have to go to the gathering very soon.", she said as she started to go into a trot. She flicked her ears around, smelling the air as she went. Vega|Mentions Delilah Vega looked around just as the mare in front of her had. She hoped she wasn't seeing anything bad nearby. "There was a storm and I don't know where she is. I've been calling but she doesn't come to me or call me back." Her short tail swished around, showing just how nervous the pale filly was. Most of the horses here are friendly, but some of them might take a bit longer to warm up to you." He told her, glancing over at Cyrus for a moment, who was watching Maja cautiously. He knew that Cyrus usually wasn't the nicest to new members, but he was a good Medic. He didn't know what had happened to the stallion that had made him so snappy, but he didn't want to pry. Just as he turned and was about to call the herd to him, he heard an unfamiliar nicker, and he looked over to see another lone mare. "Hello." He greeted her, taking a few steps towards her, then stopping at a good distance away from her. He kept his body language calm, to show her that he wasn't going to attack her - unless she provoked him, of course. "Who are you?" Amaryllis // Mare // Royal's Herd // Mentions: Oriala, Zeus (Indirectly) As she waited for Zeus' response, Amaryllis was approached by Oriala, a young mare. She tilted her head slightly at the nickname she gave her. Nobody in the herd was very close to her, and she rarely ever got nicknames; so it was a bit strange to her. She quickly shook it off. "Oh, hello, Oriala. Do you need anything?" She asked, dipping her head in a polite greeting. Cyrus // Medic // Scout's Herd // Mentions: Quillon, Maja, Glory (All Indirectly) After Cyrus had made sure his herbs were properly stored, he turned his attention back to Quillon and the loner. He picked up small bits of their conversation, and he discovered that the mare's name was Maja, and that she was joining the herd. He was happy that the herd was getting more members, but he didn't know if this new mare was trustworthy. 'I guess I'll just have to trust Quillon's decisions, so far he's led the herd quite well.' She quickly decided she would be better off scouting the perimeter of the field, as it would help her collect her thoughts. She trotted into the woods, thinking as she lifted her velvety snout to read the smells in the air around her. Finding nothing, she reluctantly turned back. He smiled before adding "Thanks." Zeus turned his gaze to Falyn who was addressing Oriala in a friendly matter. She trotted down a sloped hill and flicked a fly off her hide with her tail on her way. She made her way over to the woodsy area at the edge of their large valley field. Stepping into the forest she saw that there was a large rock overhang looking into the valley near her's. Peering farther away she could barley make out the figures of three horses [Quillon, Glory, and Maja] silhouetted in the distance, a herd maybe? She thought silently to herself. She watched as Jade went off to search on her own and then continued trotting knowing that Echo was following. She looked at the trotting male and said, "Thank you for a company in me. Everyone else seems to run away." She chuckled as she thought of the other two herd mates. She looked around for a moment and then stopped on a hill. She called out for her herd to come to her and waited to see if she would get a reply. As she waited, she sized up the stallion before her, hopefully secretly. Vega|Scouts|Foal(filly)|Mentions Delilah The cremello filly nudged the horses nose back as she smiled. She walked closer to the mare as she said her name in a small voice, "I'm Vega." When Delilah started to speak of other horses, the young filly couldn't help but get excited. She nodded vigorously and then proceeded to walk next to mare, so close she nearly touched the dark mare.
