"One large herd could prove difficult to contain," Nami mused, watching them milling about. She heard a call in the distance - it sounded like the leader of the Bachelors. "Don't see why they can't just be separate herds. All this nonsense." Her voice trailed off into a mumble at his next question. Why was she here? Good questions.

"Safety and necessity. Better than some of the other crap holes I've lived in." Nami couldn't help but let a short, barking laugh escape from her. It was true. If anything, she was mostly left alone here, and being a loner wasn't too terrible. With all the horses around, it was easy to stick as close as you could to another herd without upsetting them in order to avoid predators. Joining a herd might be ideal, but for now, she had no interest or reason. "Yourself?"

Nami watched the stallion for a moment, noting how he lowered her head. Her discomfort must be obvious, then. She let out a deep breath, attempting to consciously relax tense muscles. Well. At least he was considerate in that respect.

Echo shifted his weight from left to right, turning every once and a while to keep his attention on the land before them. Echo's ears flicked back to his lead mare when she called out again, hearing the thud of her hoof against the ground. She was frustrated, and rightfully so. Echo wanted to reach out and sooth her, instead choosing to take only a stride closer, gentling his features as he regarded her.

"This is... quite strange," he paused to hold his tongue, not wanting to speak out and overstep his bounds. It was upsetting that the rest of the herd was unable to respond to a simple call. "Perhaps they are far away. Though, I'd think they would know better. It's common knowledge the meeting is soon."
