She made a mental note to practice the move again later, perhaps with her father if he wasn't busy. She'd ask Falconfeather but he'd probably want to be with his kits. The apprentice followed Fallensky down to Eaglepaw and smiled at Eaglepaw when he praised her, though that happiness quickly gave way to surprise and embarrassment when he licked her shoulder. She felt her face grow warm and she pointedly faced Fallensky, trying not to draw attention to her state of nerves. She recognized the feeling that was causing her heart the pound, but was alarmed that it was directed at Eaglepaw and not Hollowpaw. Were her affections shifting? She ignored the intrusive thoughts and told herself that she was only 8 moons old and definitely not experienced enough to know what the heck she was thinking about. When Fallensky mentioned ticks, Rainpaw meowed "No! Please, anything but that." She shuddered at the thought of nipping the bugs off an elders pelt. All they did was check the elders fur and listen to them complain about how the apprentices missed a tick, or we were being too rough. It was fun a few times hearing about the elders telling stories about how life was when they were apprentices and warriors. But now, they seem a lot grumpier than before. 0 players like this post! Eaglepaw nodded his head. "Yes I do want to see the kits." Eaglepaw had helped get a few things to help with the kitting and he wanted to see if his help paid off. She grinned at Fallensky. "That includes you!". She was glad they were returning to camp now anyway as her wing joints were beginning to ache and she didn't want to get too tired. With a practiced move she angled her wings back like a falcons and fell forward in the air, speeding towards camp while gliding at the same time.
