"I'll ask Owlpaw to check up on Leafkit soon but until then you should be proud of your kits." The medicine cat stepped out into the camp again and shook her fur lightly to get any dew off of her. The she-cat yawned widely before wondering towards her den again. She stopped outside and leaped up onto the rocks. There was too much going on in his brain, but he did register someone walking towards him. The young tom shifted his head to look up at Applefur, another soon-to-be Queen who was due within the next few moons. At least she'd have kits during the warmer months, so she'd have less to worry about danger wise from the weather. Upon hearing her speak, Owlpaw dipped his head slightly. "I'm alright, just letting Ravendawn finish up handling Sweetheart's kits and checking them over. What about you?" Speaking of his mentor, he watched her as she left the Nursery and walked off to ensure she wasn't too unsteady. He was always watchful for those around him that were close to him. ______________________ Webwing | Female - Warrior | Location: Clan Camp | Mentions: Ravendawn (( I'll keep her in camp)) The she-cat paused at the camp entrance at the activity in front of the Nursery. It wasn't often someone saw a dark tabby coat exit that area, and it always ended in good or bad news. Ravendaw had been the medicine cat here for the later half of Webwing's life, and she liked to check in on her now and again. Her mentor had passed onto Starclan, but that wasn't as hard to deal with now. The older she-cat walked over to Ravendawn, moving to match her strides and keep a few inches between them since most didn't withstand her fuzzy fur or skin. "How are you today Ravendawn? It was a silent offer, but it was obvious as Owlpaw swept his tail to dust it off then motioned to the flat, warm surface beside him. "That's always nice, I hope I'll help deliver healthy kits when your time comes." He smiled, pricking his ears up and glancing at her stomach. It wasn't unusual for Queens in the later moons of carrying kits to feel them move, it was quite a magical experience for the most part. "Sweetheart is doing quite fine, one of her kits needed some coltsfoot for minor breathing troubles. Other than that, it was smooth and easy. Um... Would you mind letting me feel the kits move? I'm an apprentice, and I've only seen a few Queens with kits, but I haven't ever seen or felt them move before." Owlpaw sheepishly asked, smiling softly at the thought. Having kits must be a great feeling, to have living beings inside of you that would soon be born. _____________________________ Vixenthroat | Female - Warrior | Location: General Clan Territory --> Training Grounds |Mentions: Hailpaw The warrior cautiously moved to ease her tail around Hailpaw's shoulders. Her own mentor did this, so perhaps she should too? Apprentice and younger cats of the clan were like a different world. She wasn't fond of interacting with them, but she would have to adjust to this 'mentoring' thing... "I can feel your excitement, but we have to work on basics first. Perhaps we can try branching and some basic hunting crouches as well as stalks." She comments softly, moving to drop back and stay with Hailpaw. Was this better? She was larger and more muscular than most of the female warriors, so perhaps if Vixenthroat spoke softly Hailpaw wouldn't be so intimidated; especially after that angry tongue lashing... She over-reacted and had launched herself verbally at her apprentice. Just like her father... "Don't be scared of me, Hailpaw. I didn't meant to lash at you. It's just... You're my first apprentice and this is new. I'm not too confident I'll be a good mentor at all..." "But a cats gotta do what its gotta do!" She fluttered her wings so they wouldn't stiffen after all that flying and padded over to the fresh kill pile. It looked like cats had been hunting so they had a few things to choose from. She was a bit bummed out that a cat a moon younger than her could fly faster but she also knew that everyone had their own strengths. Eaglepaw would become a great warrior one day and she would as well. If their strengths were different that meant they could compensate for each other, a thought which cheered her up greatly. Skypool | Warrior | Mentions Aspenpaw Skypool made a sound of surprise when he felt jaws close over his leg and repressed the reflex to kick out at her since he didnt want to hurt Aspenpaw. He admired her boldness at least. "Legs hardly matter when you have wings!" he called back to her, the squirrels still in his front paws, and didn't attempt to dislodge her.
