Okay, umm, kind of similar to Stephanie Meyer's werewolves, but not the genetics, it is a ever present pack that interacts with humans and keeps the secret, but some also keep to themselves.

Alright. Should I say my little thing about vampires? it's a hell of a lot more detailed >.> I don't read vampire/werewolf/etc books all that much I mean all I know is the Mortal instruments/Infernal devices really

Umm, a little bit of a background would be good since Liam should know the mythology. I've only read the first book of Mortal Instruments, so I'm not really familiar with it yet.

Riley felt the car stop and heard the humming of the engine flicker off before looking at her mother, in the driver's seat. Her mother's blonde hair was piled up into a very messy bun, and her green eyes were focused on Riley, who hadn't seen her mother in years. "Do you remember this house, Riley?" her mother asks, offering her a small smile, and Riley turns to look at the blue house, her mother had lived in for years. She pursed her lips before nodding her head and smiling softly at her mother. Then she opened the door and got out, not really wanting to make small talk. She opened the trunk and got her three suitcases she had brought. Not much, but she wasn't going to be here forever. Just for a semester at school. Riley looked again at her mother, Ana. How it was easy to say they looked nothing alike with Riley and her brunette hair and grey eyes. "Do I still have my same room?" she asks her mother to which she nods. Riley nods her head before walking towards the house she hadn't seen for years but would be staying at for some weeks now.

Okay, so- The basics.
Yes, sunlight burns vampires. It is very painful to them, and can be an easy torture device.
No, garlic does not injure them (Unless you threw one at them idk) But, it smells terrible to them. Kinda like rotting eggs, mixed with other nastiness.
Vampires are faster and stronger than humans, and can also jump higher. They have an increased sense of night vision.

Now, blood. For a full-grown vampire, an adult human could last them a good week. The week after, though, they need to eat. Day 1, they're fine. I would say pretty hungry, but in a snacky sort of sense.
Day 2- (This is the week after a vampire has drained a human, as they like to call it) Hungrier, but not starving.
Day 3- Similar signs.
Day 4- Their veins are slightly darker. Vampires are ready for another large meal.
Day 5- Their hunger seems to increase by the minute. Vampires are crankier, paler/grayer, and their veins are darker.
Day 6- A vampire would be out to kill anything, no matter who, where, or when. They cannot retract their fangs, and their veins are nearly black.
Day 7- The vampire slowly starves, immobilized. By the end of the day, the vampire is dead.

Resurrection! Cuz that's fun.
There are two ways. One, two people can make babies. If it's a human and a vampire, there is a change the baby will be a vampire. Two vampires, and the baby is a vampire. Werewolves and vampires cannot make babies. Sorry.
Two, a vampire drains a human. Or, sucks most/all of the blood from their body. Then, in the light of a large moon (Full or nearly full, on a clear night), they bury the body. A few minutes later, the newly made vampire digs itself out of the grave, said to be on "day 6" hunger, nearing day 7. Vampires, be prepared to care for the new vampire. They will be scared, confused, lost, and very hungry. You will have to teach them how to do the things. Like biting, killing, and dealing with the bodies.

Liam was relaxing in Eric's room. Eric was still almost a pup, but they enjoyed hanging out together. Hearing the car door, he looked up from the videogame they were playing. "Your mom and sister back?" He asked, having kept up with what was going to happen. The pack liked to keep track of who was around the territory, even the humans. As the third in the pack, Liam was the one designated to keep an eye on some of those things.

Riley opened the door before holding it open for her mother. She wasn't greeted by her little sister running up to her, as she had been used to when she used to come down her, but she hadn't been here for years. And obviously things had changed. She let the door swing shut, as she jogged up the stairs, to the old room she used to stay in. Riley opened the door, pushing it open with her back, to get all of her suitcases in. The room was the same. Nothing had changed or been moved. The walls were still a sky blue color, and her bed was against the back wall with a window on the right wall. She had a closet to the wall beside her and a desk with a laptop and chair. A mirror and dresser took up the wall nearest her and on the left. Riley put her stuff on the bed, before deciding she would pay a visit to her siblings and put her clothes and stuff away later. Riley went to Eric's room, not bothering to knock, as she opened the door and stood in the entrance of the room. "Hey, Eric, I....," she paused, as she noticed the other boy in the room.

Bright, warm sunlight shone through the blinds of a bland house, darkened by its lack of care on the outside. There was barely a cloud in the blue skies- it really was a beautiful day. For shitty humans, at least. Kaze growled to himself, glaring at the window. He lounged on one of his couches- a worn, blood red, beaten and old thing. It was his, though, and he liked it that way. The couch was positioned in such a way that the vampire was safe from the sun's deadly rays. While looking out the window, lazy and bored, Kaze saw a car drive by. He narrowed his unnatural eyes, lips pulling back in a fang-y snarl. He hated people. More than that, people who turned into dirty, nasty, disgusting wolves. He recognized that car- it belonged to the blue house at the end of the road. And he knew that a werewolf lived in that house. Kaze planned on killing that werewolf. That one, and every other werewolf in the area. But, he couldn't. He couldn't risk being caught, to be seen by another werewolf. He couldn't risk being found out, so close to a werewolf. He would surely be killed- He knew that there were other werewolves in the area. But, they never knew that their worst enemy was right in their borders. Ready to strike at any moment, waiting for the perfect time...
Kaze sighed. Oh, well. He'd have to wait. The vampire yawned, smiling a bloody smile as he remembered his meal the night before. For the first time in a month, he had gotten something decent. A human girl. Finally, something different from salty rats and mice. Finally, some sweet human blood. Kaze closed his eyes, basking in the warmth of the day, the comfyness of the couch, and the fullness of his appetite. Soon enough, the vampire dozed off into a peaceful sleep. He would probably lay there for the rest of the day, breathing easy until night came and he could wander the streets of his home again, taunting the wolves.

"Oh, hi," Liam smiled charmingly when the door opened. Giving Eric a glance first, he paused the videogame and said, "You must be Riley, I'm Liam. I stick around so that this oaf doesn't get into trouble." Laughing a little, he reached for Eric and mussed up his hair before pushing him playfully. Wolves were very playful and touchy, especially with their pack. Liam knew that everything wasn't quite as intense for Eric since just his father was a wolf, but he had all of the same instincts and senses that the rest of the pack possessed.

Riley stared at the older boy in front of her. He had tan skin with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was taller than her brother, reaching around the six feet mark, yet he looked so young. How old was he? Why was he hanging out with her brother? Who was he? All she knew was his name and that he certainly hadn't been there last time she was here. "Nice to know," she mutters before shaking her head and looking at Liam with a fake smile on her face, as she offered the boy her hand. "I'm the oaf's sister, Riley," she introduces, looking into Liam's eyes.
