Kaze stared into the gray-green of Riley's eyes with his own, dark red ones. The vampire felt a bit discouraged as his curious question was answered shortly. He noticed the pondering stare, wondering what questions the woman had for him. kaze listened to her introduction, enjoying the smooth, feminine voice that she possessed. He sighed, never once taking his eyes off her. It wasn't that he was being a creep, or 'undressing her with his eyes' or anything sexual. Rather, he was admiring her. Studying her perfect face, hoping to never forget it. He kept his look friendly and open, eager to know Riley more. His gaze moved with the human's movements, As if to answer his eagerness, Riley spoke. He listened attentively, waiting a few moments after she stopped to gather his thoughts and answer. "Enjoying the sunset. I don't get to see if often, you know. It's a beautiful day today, don't you think?" To prove his point, the vampire finally dragged his eyes off of her. He looked around, feeling the cool, afternoon air on his pale skin. He felt a slight breeze, rustling the leaves above them. They swayed peacefully- it was like a dream come to life, the setting that he stood in. The vampire sighed in content, allowing himself to relax as the stresses of his day vanished with his breath, replaced with the welcomes of the coming night as he inhaled. Kaze breathed slow, even breaths, comfortable with his standing position and the stranger next to him. Near-stranger, sorry. He knew her name now. Riley. Kaze smiled softly, thinking of the woman's name. He wouldn't say it aloud, now, for that would be awkward. But he enjoyed the sound of it in his head. Nice, calm and peaceful. It took him a moment to come back from his thoughts and realize that Riley had asked another question. Good, she was curious about him. Interested, maybe? Well, at least he heard her question. He smiled more, amusement glinting in his eyes that matched the sound of her voice. "A loner, I guess. I've lived alone for most of my life." Kaze looked at Riley again, waiting for the lady to react.

Riley nodded, as the wind blew around her, getting chillier by the second. She shivered, as she looked up, at the dark blue sky with all the stars, shining above it. Balls of gas, millions of light years away. It was dark now, but she could still see because of the light, the moon was illuminating. She looked back down at Kaze. He seemed like the loner type. Not one for parties and hanging out with friends. More like the laid back, at home guy that everyone knew. Riley furrowed her eyebrows. When had he come here? It surely couldn't have been when she were here, she would have remembered something like this. But when? Riley shook her head, as she looked at the ground, wondering what she was doing here. Instead of having family bond time, in the nice, warm house, she was outside in the cold with a stranger. Not a stranger, she knew his name. Kaze. It was a nice name. She had never heard it before, but it seemed to suit him. Mysterious, loner, cute. Riley shook her head. Did she really just call him cute? Did she feel something for him? Riley looks into Kaze's eyes, and her jaw drops. Her eyes widen, as she looks into his red orbs. Had they not been gold just a second ago? "Kaze, weird question, what color are your eyes?" she asks, looking at him. Had his eyes really just changed colors? And why were his eyes red? Nobody was born with red eyes. Contacts? Contacts didn't change color. What was going on here?

Why was Riley out so long? Eric didn't think that was like her, especially since she was so used to the city now. When he got close enough to barely hear the conversation, he could already smell that god-awful stench. Vampires. What was she doing out here with one of them!?

Running to the closest place he knew to get help, Eric quickly explained what he thought was going on. "Go get your sister out of the way," Liam growled, going out to phase and call the rest of the pack.

Obeying him, Eric went back down the trail and called out, "Riley, it's getting dark, maybe you should come back to the house." Walking closer, he felt the fine hairs on the back of his neck stand straight up as he saw and scented the vampire, fighting not to scrunch up his nose or snarl, he needed to get Riley out of here, he could already hear the almost silent pawsteps of his pack approaching.

"Oh, my eyes? They're brown. I just wear red contacts. Do you like it?" Kaze said, shifting his head a bit to make his eyes more visible. Yep, they were definitely red. A dark, bloody crimson. His head snapped toward the woods, hearing Eric's voice. Then, he saw the werewolf. The vampire kept his cool, looking at Riley. "Oh. I guess you have to go. I'll see you later?" He said. Before the woman could answer, Kaze pushed off the tree and walked away. After a few moments, and the vampire had disappeared into the woods.
Once the vampire was out of sight and sound of Riley, he broke int a sprint, deeper into the woods. Shit. Shit. Shit. A summary of his wild, racing thoughts. I've been found. While he ran, he could have sworn that the werewolves were chasing him. Were those their pawsteps, or his imagination? Hoping to lose them, Kaze suddenly grabbed a tree branch. Then, he started to climb the tree he had chosen. After a minute of careful climbing, Kaze hugged the upper branches of the tree, his arms shaky. The vampire stole a glance to the forest floor, all that way down. He didn't see anything, but he knew he made a major mistake. If he fell, he risked breaking a leg. Or worse, losing his life from the sharp-looking branches. And, of course, the werewolf pack. Kaze shuddered, terror filling his eyes. He was fucked and he knew it.

((Sorry, had a busy day yesterday))

As soon as the pack could tell that Eric had separated Riley from the creature, the pack moved in. Liam let his father take the lead, but he was proud to stand in the second's place since the other wolf wasn't here. With growls and snarls, the wolves followed the scent to where it disappeared, but didn't weaken, pointing to the trees with their muzzles. The huge wolves surrounded the main tree and those close enough for him to leap. Right now, there were around ten wolves that had been able to be summoned within minutes and more were probably on the way.

Vampires were creatures that shouldn't exist. Their survival depended on butchering humans and most of them seemed to think that there was nothing at all wrong with it. So, the wolves balanced the food chain whenever one was stupid enough to come near pack land.

Kaze shuddered, hearing the growls and barks of the wolves below. Shit. Shit. He was screwed. The vampire looked around, trying to figure out what to do. Soon enough, a few might shift and try to climb after him. He'd be forced to jump, or be taken. Either way, the werewolves were going to get him. Unless...Kaze sighed softly, hesitating for a moment. A breeze ran through the forest, sending a few chills down the vampire's spine. His hands were shaking. Kaze slowly started to climb down the tree, heading to the thicker and more supportive branches. Of course, still out of reach from the wolves. The vampire stood on a thick branch- a part of the trunk, actually, when it split apart. Kaze glanced down at the wolves- Fuck. It was obvious that Kaze was scared. He tried and failed to hide the fear in his eyes and body. Kaze focused on what he was doing, looking away from the werewolves. He slowly inched across the branch, heading further away from the trunk.
Snap!
It turns out, the branch couldn't support the vampire. As soon as Kaze heard the wood break, he jumped. From his height, it was fine. The vampire landed and stumbled, falling to the forest floor. In half a second he was back up, and sprinting away as fast as he could run. He was pretty sure wolves could run faster, though. We'll have to see.

(So, I'm guessing that their forms are as a regular old wolf, right? Four legs, anatomically correct, etc etc. I like to think that werewolves have three forms- Human, shifted, and wolf. Human being, well, their human form. Their wolf form is a plain ol' wolf. Their shifted form is the mix of the two. It's what you usually imagine when you think of a werewolf. Human-like, furry, wolf head, large claws, muscular and scary. They probably stand taller than a human. I don't know if you guys follow this, It's just what I go by. Feel free to say your views on it.
Also, I don't imagine the pack killing Kaze right then and there. Either take him away to somewhere farther from the town, or they keep him. Maybe to "study" him and learn more about vampires.)
