James' eyes fluttered open as his alarm went off, he was excited for today, but that didn't mean he wanted to get up. A groan escaped his lips as he slowly rolled over, turning the alarm off. He decided it would be best if he got up, so he wouldn't fall back asleep. Almost as soon as he sat up there was a loud banging on the door of his hotel room, his dad's voice could be heard from the other side, "James, wake up, it's going to be a good day." He let out a yawn as he stretched his arms over his head and slowly got out of the bed. He loved traveling, but sleeping in hotel bedrooms for state and national rodeos was never ideal. He let his dad know he was up and walked over to the bathroom, brushing his teeth then getting in the shower. It only took him about five minutes to wash off, then he got out and put on some jeans, a maroon t-shirt, some cowboy boots, and grabbed his cowboy hat. He looked himself over in the mirror, ran a hand through his hair, and slid on his hat before heading out the door where his parents were both dressed and waiting, along with his little brother, Parker. The four of them ate a quick breakfast then headed out to the rodeo, it was the first day of state competitions and all four of them were excited, this was Parker's third rodeo he would be in, he was only nine. As they arrived James led Parker over to a registration table where the two of them both signed in and got numbers for which competitions they were in. Character SheetsNo thread generated. James might have underestimated the amount that she would be squeezing his hand, but he didn't have a problem with it, he knew she was in pain and he wanted to help in any way he could. 0 players like this post! Like? |

James watched as the baby came out and was quickly handed to a nurse who placed him on a baby hospital bed before rushing out of the room, trying to stimulate him on the way out. James just stared at the doctor, not saying anything, everything went blurry, his world spinning. He couldn't believe what the doctor had just said, and soon he was leaving the two alone to go fill in James' mother with the new information. James started to shake his head as the information settled in, his blood was boiling, he was a mix of emotions, and as tears fell from his eyes, he let go of Lexa's hand and stood up, turning to the concrete wall, where he cocked back and punched it, full force. 0 players like this post! James' mother closed the door behind her and went straight to Lexa, ignoring her son's bloodied hand. "I am so sorry." Was all that she could say for a while before talking to Lexa, trying to calm her down first, she knew James would eventually calm down by himself. James watched as the blood dripped off of his hand and onto the floor, he didn't feel the pain, from that at least. He sat against the wall, his hands tangled in his hair as he stared at the ceiling, the tears still rolling off his cheeks. 0 players like this post! Like? |
