Leon was glad he had caught her attention. His heart began to beat faster when she abruptly stood up. Yet, when she didn't leave, he let out a silence breath of air. "It's not just what I want from you, it's what I can give you. On your side of the territory you have some of the more dangerous plants and animals. However, if you fight with us, we could certainly make use of all the things you keep away. Especially animals. Large herds of elephant roam near you correct? Wouldn't it prove more fitting if you could ride into battle on the back of such a large beast?" He said. "The only thing I ask of you is your skills in return. My people need to be prepared for battle even if they don't live by the sword's way. If your people train my people, our armies would have no problem clearing out herds of cannibals."

It was obvious he had gotten all his thoughts together before arriving. The words came out steady and fluently, with a hint of confidence behind them. "So you see, that is my proposal. I don't expect you to accept right away but the threat will linger on longer. Even though our clans have been feuding for generations, and possibly more to come, let's just stop for a few months so we can deal with this."

((Didn't know what to type for Marcus so, yeah, sorry))

Lexa kept her cold gaze on the Commander as he spoke and tried to expand her horizon of what it could do for her people. The Commander seemed confident in his words and had seemed to be putting the plan together for a long while. She took a moment to think about the situation, riding in on elephants for battle, taking out the man eating enemies and all she had to do is offer her hazards and the skills of her warriors. She looked at what might happen after the fact. The west clan had always had a sort of upper hand when it came to warriors. Her people where raised for the taste of blood and were hungry for it they would sprint onto a wars battle field with a simple Command from herself. If her people were to train their people would they not use it against them in the after hand if they were to win...

"I stop myself to think. If we are to take done the threat that lies outside both of our walls then we are both left with a victory and all I was asked is to tech your people the skill of my warriors. At first it seems not a problem but after winning such a fight your warriors now know the skill of my own. Who's to say you wouldn't use it against myself. Now.... I am not one to look so far ahead when we have yet to climb the hurdle that separates us from that moment, but you ask of me to teach my ways to your people who will use them and no one in the past generations has ever used them except for us." Lexa said her voice hardened slightly her words cutting at the air like shards of glass. She paused for a moment before she continued. "Though I do see this action very...." She stopped looking for the next words. "Unlikely..... for the East Clan. So, I do suppose we may be able to set aside one enemy to take care of another...."

(Its alright couldn't really put anything in for Costia as well.)

Leon let her words sink, but not for long. He had prepared for that statement as well as many more. "If that is true, then wouldn't it be the same for your people. My clan is one of building. We are creators of things, including various weapons. My people will also teach your people how to turn your surroundings into a weapon. A lethal weapon. So you see, both of our clans are at risk if we expose our secrets to each other. But in the process of our exchange we will be getting rid of a long term threat. Personally, I would rather have my secrets exposed than dead." Leon replied back. "As for the insinuation that we might try to attack you with the skills learned, that's incorrect. Your clan would still be the teachers, and students can't always surpass their masters."

The East Commander finished his speech then waited for her to speak. She was examining things exactly how he had thought she might. He had spent nights laying awake and just...thinking about this meeting. Needless to say he was quite the planner. She obviously is putting some serious thought into this. I suppose I wouldn't have jumped at the opportunity if I were in her position Leon thought as he rested his hands on the table top.

Lexa gave a slight nod as he spoke and she turned and began to pace the concrete floor slowly. She was not one to just jump into or away from things without serious thought. She was a lot more...wise, you could say, compared to the past generation of Commanders. Most of them would have immediately jumped away from his offer and went on with living how it was which would have probably been the end of their people in the long run. She kept her gaze forward as she paced back and forth not letting it move to the other Commander as she thought.

"My people will not take kindly to this motion, and I would imagine your will feel uneasy as well. If I were to accept the temporary piece between the 2 Clans what would be our next line of action?" Lexa asked and took a moment over to the other Commander as she continued to pace the floor.

Leon stepped to the side of his chair, pushing it in. "Well, first I'd advise you tell the members of your clan. I would do so with mine. Secondly, I would want us to set up some type of system that allows us to transfer individuals from each clan to other, so they may train. Or, we could pull a riskier move and move half of one clan into the other clan. Each way is effective in learning from each other but it's risky for both of us. Though I'm sure neither clan will take kindly to each other, especially some of the older souls in the military department. I'm sure, if the need arise, you could handle your members and I mine." Leon personally found flaws in each system. The first idea would mean bringing in a smaller group of outsiders, but the odds that a fight would occur would increase. While his second idea consisted of a larger group, it also brought risk of an inner attack.

Lexa soon stopped her pacing and turned her body towards the other Commander as he stood from his chair. Her hands were still clasped behind her back as she thought about the ideas. She would prefer to do it in large groups, probably half and she would join with them and travel to the east Clan were she would train the warriors, if she were to accept the motion that is. She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them and looking to him, her eyes dark and narrowed. "I will have a rider sent with my answer to you within the next 24 hours." Lexa said and waited to begin making her way out to see if he had anything else to add.

Leon nodded. "Alright, I will be awaiting your answer then." He said. He was about to add something when he heard a loud growl from from the stair entrance. He looked over at Costia, then back towards the stairs. As he listened more closely he came to hear some very loud and angry voices. Without another thought he moved his hand to the sword attached at his hip and walked toward the tunnel. Each step up the stairs brought him closer into the light. When he had taken the last step his eyes were met with an irritating brightness. However, that was the least of his concerns. In front of him, the two clans were calling names. Sol, his tracking dog, was barking and growling like a mad man. One of the guards from the West Clan continued to taunt his clan members by threatening to release the wolf beast. "You neanderthals!" Came from his side, while other rude comments were shot back in return.

*

Marcus couldn't believe his Commander had put thought into it. Yet, he'd be lying if he said the offer didn't lure him in. There were so many dangerous vegetation on their territory that if his people kept away from certain spots. But if what they could turn all those things into weapons? And riding on elephants? Hell yes. His thoughts were deterred as the other Commander suddenly rushed out of the room. Instinct kicked in and he grabbed his club more tightly. He looked over at his Commander, waiting for her to give him and order.

Lexa gave a nod, she would most likely spend the ride on the way home deciding on either to decline or accept the motion. Her gaze snapped over to the exit hearing shouting and the faint barking of a dog. Her hand went quickly to the hilt of her sword as the other Commander rushed up to the surface. The first thought that came to her mind was a battle between the guards above. "Be ready for anything." She hissed running towards the exit and hurried up the stairs, the light nearing her as she prepared herself for what lied outside the door. She was blinded for a long moment and when things became clear she put together what was going on.

"Em pleni! (Enough!)" Lexa Commanded loudly over the ruckus. The guards of her clan all snapped their gazes to her and quieted. She was infuriated, "What is going on? You were instructed to stand guard and nothing else! I am your Commander not you parent and you are Warriors not children!" She growled angrily at them and waited for an explanation. She walked in between the East and her own clan and turned to face them. Her gaze was harsh and the guards seemed to shy away from her burning gaze. She didn't like that they were not answering her, "Chich op. (Speak up.)" She hissed lowly to them, she would not stand for them to disobey her or take things upon themselves. She turned and looked around to the whole group her gaze moving back to her own clan.

-------------------

Costia didn't hesitate and hurried up the stairs after her Commander hearing commotion. Soon she was being blinded by the sun and she stepped out and watched as the Clans spewed things as each other angrily. Her head snapped over to the other Commander as she surfaced and ordered something to her people which shut them up real quick. She was always curious about their language it was interesting. She watched as the scene quieted as the angered Commander demanded what was going on. She was surprised that no one tried to cower away from her stern demanding voice. This is when Costia decided that she really didn't want to see her really pissed off about something other then a few comments here and there. She swallowed and looked to her Commander as the other Commander waited impatiently for a explanation her eyes burning down into all of them. Costia decided to stay quite and watch what was about to unfold before her. But she kept her dagger clenched in her fist just in case she needed to put it to use.

Leon was utterly embarrassed by the behavior of his clan members. He turned a stern gaze on them, which forced them all to mutter apologies under their breaths. "Just because another taunts you doesn't mean you give in and return the favor. You all deeply disappoint me, and I'll be sure to show you just how much when we return to our territory." He said. His clan members offered up some justification for their actions but Leon wasn't hearing any of it. He looked over at a growling Sol who soon quieted down afterwards. His gaze shifted from his guards back over to the other clan leader. "We will be taking our leave them. Please think about what we discussed." With that, he motioned for Costia to follow him. He walked over to his white stallion and mounted the beast. It neighed, lifted a leg, then stomped the ground with it.

His guards were much too eager to leave. Their faces showed they were still very upset despite having said sorry. Oh well, he couldn't worry much about that at the moment. He gripped onto his horse's reigns, turning the creature back towards home. The sun was now bright over head and he took it as a good sign. "Come." Leon told his followers as their horses started to trot of at a slow pace.

*

Marcus walked pass one of their guards and roughly smacked him across the head. Had his Commander not been their he would have done much worse. How dare they make a fool out of themselves at a meeting like this? The East Clan already thought they were savages. I bet they were being laughed at right now. Yet, he couldn't stay mad. His mind was still too focused on the contents of the meeting. What answer would his Commander give? Did he even really want her to say yes? Whatever the case may be, he would leave it up to her to decide their clan's fate. He sighed as he mounted his horse. The wolf dog had ceased it's growling but was now looking off into the distance, searching for it's lifelong enemy.

Lexa's gaze stuck on her Clan in front of her and watched as Marcus gave one a slap on the back of the head, knowing that was least he would do. She took a step back and turned her body towards the other Commander as he finished his small speech and listened to his clan as they muffled a shamed sorry. She looked to the Commander as she stood with her hands behind her back and gave a nod as he announced there departure. She watched the group as they began to mount their horses and began there ride out of the clearing. Lexa turned her gaze to the hushed wolf who searched for the ones they just let go....

Lexa turned back to her clan, her gaze harsh and stern as they let them stand in silence for long moments. She lifted her hand and motioned for her horse to be brought to her. A guard silently brought the angered stallion to her and mounted him. She looked around at the group before over to her second as they got onto there steeds. "Teik gon we. (Let's go.)" Lexa Commanded and kicked her horse into a walk towards the hill. She pulled in front of the group and looked back over her shoulder, "Marcus." She requested for him to join her at the front with herself and the wolf who lead the way. She wanted to see his view of things, she was going to have to decide in the next hour we so the other clan got the message sooner then later. She looked over to him and waited him to speak his mind, she didn't feel the need to tell him to speak.

-------------------------

Costia watched as each Commander put there clan back into place. She gave a last look to the clan as her horse was brought to her and she hopped onto the mare who snorted. She kicked her horse after her Commander and thought about what they would do now. Wait. She didn't like waiting but she felt with it well. She let out a sigh as she made sure everyone was together before giving one last glance at the other clan who was making there exit as well.

Leon sighed heavily once they had gathered enough distance from the other clan. It now became clear to all of his guards that even their Commander had been nervous. But showed bravery none the less. "Costia. Please, share your thoughts with me. I know you probably have a few questions on your mind. So go ahead and speak." He said. Even though he had been watching the other Commander at all times, he paid close attention to Costia as well. She had been nervous. That part was obvious. But she must have also been shocked by the sudden turn of events. I think anyone would be a little shocked Leon thought quietly to himself.

*

Marcus didn't know how to begin. There were so many things at the front of his mind that he had to clear his head a bit. He rode his horse until he was galloping next to her. "Are you really considering accepting? Our clan members will not be happy if you do decide to accept. And I know the East Clan could teach us a few useless tricks but we have so much to lose. I feel like this is a set up." He stated. His last sentence had been fabricated. He knew it wasn't a trick. He knew all the other clan wanted was to live peacefully, free of cannibals. But he just couldn't allow himself to accept that fact without first denying it at all costs.

Costia turned her head back in front of her as the other clan soon disappeared over the hill. Now all they had to do was wait....wait for an answer that would change many things either way. She snapped back into thought when her Commander began to speak with her, "I think that there is only 2 ways one can react to a topic and motion such as this one. I, thought I think it is a little risky and dangerous, think it is necessary for our people on the long run. If we were to wait until there numbers built up even both of our armies couldn't take them on. But I am curious. Do you trust the Commander, she seems to like it her way and no other? She seems very savage and heartless but very smart as well. Do you think she would take a chance to turn on us if she had one if she were to accept?" Costia was looking ahead as she spoke and continued to put her thoughts together. She moved her gaze to her Commader, this was a decision that she was glad she didn't have to make because of the weight of it and the consequences that could follow it...

-------------------

Lexa kept her gaze out in front of her as she rode over the hill at a gallop. Once they hit the trees she pulled back into a trot so she could concentrate more on the conversation then riding. She never took a moment to look over at Marcus, "As a matter of fact I am not considering it..." Lexa said and turned her hard cold gaze over to Marcus, her eyes burning. "I am doing it. As for my people they have to listen to me they are my subjects. If you do not agree with my decision then you will suffer the consequences of the rest who question my power." Lexa said looking to him before moving her gaze out in front of herself waiting to see if he had anything to add. She wanted him to object she was curious to hear his thoughts.

Marcus tried not to look intimidated but found himself failing miserably. Her words were no idle threat and he knew it. She had done much fighting in her quest for power. She had even put him in his place during his early weeks as her Second in Command. Needless to say he didn't want another encounter like that. And yet he found himself wanting to object. He didn't want to work with the other clan. In fact, he rather beat them into the ground. If he were thinking like this then surely there would be others who would question their leader. It had been awhile since he had seen any type of mutiny. He knew he wouldn't be able to fight for his leader if something like that occurred though. "Very well ma'am, I will respect your decision."

*

Leon thought about Costia's words as the soft beat of hooves rang in his ears. "Yes, I trust her to a certain extent. She is very intelligent and cold from what I could get out of her. But I am also one of the more intelligent Commanders to ever rule our clan. I do not believe she will personally turn her sword to us. However, that is not to say one of her minions would not try to harm us. Be ready at all times. If this treaty goes through, then this will be a learning experience for both of our clans. Maybe we can finally learn to...coexist instead of trying to wipe the other out all the time." He replied. "Despite all this though I wont sit here and say I wasn't intimidated just a little bit. I tried not to show it but..." he trailed.

Lexa could feel a slight uneasiness from her second. She figured his thoughts trailed back to when she was first declared Heda and when he began to serve her after the last Commander. A few weeks in he teased her, she thought non of it anymore and knew he had only done it to see if she knew how to use her power and put people back into their place. It was only a test to see if the spirit of the last Commander had chosen wisely. She knew that all around her should be intimidated, for they should be she is one not to mess or play with because she will not hesitate to bring her wrath....

Lexa gave a nod as Marcus he said to respect her decisions. "I am not asking you all to never attack them again, I am telling you to wait until my say, it will only be for the war and once we leave the last battlefield there will be no treaty between us...You are right on one thing, my people will hate this and will most likely retaliate but you are not to hesitate in enforcing my consequences is that understood?" Her voice was strait forward and stern as she lifted a hand a few moments later calling for a guard.

"Ride to the group of the other clan. Inform them that I accept and I will be arriving to there clan walls on the day of the second coming sunrises and begin training and discuss what our next steps will be." Lexa said to the guard and used her hand to wave the guard away as he took off in the direction they had just come. She figured better send it sooner then later.

"When we arrive in the evening the clan will be notified of a meeting that is to occur at early dawn. We will call upon half our warriors and then depart from the clan late that evening and head for the walls of the East Clan. We will set up outside there walls and would ask not to have anything to do with the inside unless training or discussing." Lexa informed Marcus before kicking her eager stallion in a gallop towards the walls of her Clan.

-------------

Costia listened to her Commander as he spoke, he was correct and she to figured she wouldn't one to turn him to their swords but you could never tell with a commander like that. She knew her Commander was wise and would do what was best for his clan even if it meant doing something with the enemy for a short time. "I can't understand why anyone wouldn't be sir. She is one that gives off those vibes which is why she is so powerfully in her clan and why they respect her. But I do believe you two want the same thing, put your people first and we must be aware of that in this situation." Costia was going to add more but herd a fellow guard hill at towards her. She turned her head and looked around and watched as a rider approached them quickly seeming to have the answer to the motion that will change their life. She pulled her horse back and slowed as the rider approached and began to speak.

"I am set to bring the message from Heda of West Clan. She has accepted your offer and will be arriving at your clans walls in 2 sunrises to discuss further steps and to begin training as soon as possible. Heda also requests to stay outside the walls where she will set up a small camp for her warriors and not to go in them unless training or planning." He said and his horse shifted and he waited for an answer or response from the other Commander.

Marcus nodded, mentally preparing himself. The only time he had seen any sort of retaliation within the clan was when he was very young. During that time Tarkar the Third had been Commander. One day he had been challenged by one of his clan members. He won of course, but was forced to retire after going blind nearly two years later. The entire clan had come to watch the fight. It had been brutal, bloody, and at the time scared him to no return. But it also taught him a valuable lesson that he even remembered now. Never challenge a leader. They wouldn't make your death swift. After Tarkar's battle, the traitor had been hung by his feet and allowed to be fed to their tamed wolves. How had he known? The screams filled the night's air as he was slowly eaten alive. Tarkar had been a fierce Commander, and so was Heda. He would never have the balls to challenge her to a duel. No matter what the situation. "Understood, ma'am."

*

Leon nodded, taking the news in. They had very little time to prepare for the meeting but he'd somehow make it work. "Very well then. Thank you for delivering this message to me." He replied, turning his gaze to look at Costia. "Let us make haste back to the clan grounds. We need to prepare our people for this encounter as much as possible." With that, his horse neighed loudly. Leon snapped the reigns of his horse and that spurred the white beast into action. It's trot turned into a quick gallop as the other horses began to do the same. Their lives were about to be changed, hopefully for the good. For the first time in generations, the two clans were coming together.
