"I didn't agree with what they wanted." He looked over at her, "Either that or I didn't want to work with the boss or the other people that would've been on the job." He shrugged, "But mostly the first option." He took a step towards her.

"Well, I am glad you have some humanity. Others lack that, as you may have noticed." James stepped closer to her, and she kept her eyes on him. She hated this room, it feels so trapped.

"I'm gonna go have a few choice words with your dad." He nodded and walked out of the room, locking it behind him. James went downstairs and found the boss outside of the house, alone. "Why do you think she has a problem with you?" He paused, looking him over, "You didn't think that you kidnapping her after she hasn't seen you since she was three wouldn't be traumatic among other things?" These weren't the only things he said, he had ripped her dad a new one.

A little bit after he had left the room, Margo moved back toward the mattress and sat down. She thought about her whole life, and wondered about how it would have been if he had stayed. The tears that she had held back while they had been in here slowly emerged from her eyes. She was glad that her mom had gotten him to leave. Anyone who was capable of this, was not meant to be in a childs life. A sudden surge of anger rose up and she got up and kicked the wall. She hit the wall with her fist until her eyes went down and saw cuts on her knuckles.

After he was done telling Margo's father off, he went back upstairs. He ignored everyone's stares as he did, and he unlocked Margo's room, walking in. As he walked over to her he saw her hand, followed by her tears. "Shit, don't cry." He looked at her hand and then at the wall, "And don't punch the wall." He shook his head, "I know you're angry, trust me." He paused and took off his shirt, ripping a piece off it off and wrapping her hand in it as it started to bleed, "If you're gonna punch something, punch me."

Margo winced as the fabric from James' shirt was wrapped around her bloodied knuckles. She pulled her hand away.
"I'm not going to punch you." Even thoough she really wanted to punch someone, specifically her dad. She turned away from him, and wiped the wetness from her eyes. She hated when people saw her cry. "Is he gone?"

"Not yet, but he will be soon." He watched her, but stayed where he was. "And, if I have a say in it, he's not gonna talk to you again." His eyes were on her back, just admiring her frame.

Margo was glad rhat he would be gone, but she wished she knew what was going to happen now. She turned her head, and saw James looking at her. The tips of her ears reddened under her hair, but she took a few steps away from James.
"So what now? I know who has kidnapped me, but even though I hate him, he isn't just going to let me go."

He shrugged, "Depends on what he wants them to do with you." He bit his bottom lip gently. "He might let you go, which I doubt, or he might move you somewhere else, he might take you with him, we don't know."

"Perfect." She didn't want to live with him. She could hardly stand being in the same room with him for five minutes. She just wanted to go back home, but that was the least likely possibility. Her dad hadn't kidnapped her just to see her, she was pretty sure that she would probably never see her mom again. So her life now consisted of living with a complete jerk, or different houses in the middle of nowhere. She looked back up at James who was biting his lip.

"Margo, babe," He called her babe, but this was a normal thing for him, he paused, trying to think of what he wanted to say to her. "I-" James let out a soft sigh, "Look-," another pause, 'Nevermind." He bit his bottom lip once again and decided to walk out of the room.

Margo's face reddened as James called her babe. He was trying to say something but he left the room. She just stared at the door, and listened to the click of the lock. She would have tried to escape if she didn't think it was impossible. Her knuckles were stinging, and she shifted her gaze down to look at her hands. Redness was seeping through the fabric, and she rubbed her hand.

James went to his room where he took a deep breath before letting it out. He thought about what he was trying to say earlier, but still didn't know how to word it, so we went to take a shower. Stripping his clothes off and running some hot water through the shower head.

What the heck was that, and what was he trying to say? It was quiet for a long time after he left, and no one came up to her room. After a while, Margo heard someone coming up the stairs. She looked toward the door from the other side of the room. Who was coming now?

Steve opened the door and walked into the room, "Hello." He drew out. "How are you doing?" He raised a brow and walked closer to Margo, "You feeling good?" His voice slowly started to change, become deeper.
