:Bio:
Comanche has been with her musher for as long as she can remember, in fact, she used to watch her mother and father race for them. One might say she took after her father, he was a lead dog during his racing years, although he retired before she was able to race with him due to a career ending accident. Her first race she was a swing dog, right beside her mother, that first race was the worst. They were running in whiteout conditions but she knew it was worth it when they crossed the finish line for that victory. After her third or fourth race her musher noticed her desire to be a lead dog, and they indulged her. When her first Iditarod came around she was too young to be apart of it. But next year she was ready to take her place as lead dog. Comanche got her chance to prove herself, and prove herself she did. She knows that this race will be no walk in the park but Chi is confidant that her team can snag this victory with little to no hiccups along the way.

:Personality:
Some might call Comanche rude and demeaning but in truth she just likes things done her way. Chi has an air of confidence about her that tends to be contagious, if there's one thing she believes in it's her ability to triumph over just about any issue she faces. She has a tendency to hold everyone to the same impossibly high standard and doesn't fully grasp that every dog has their own pace. Chi usually goes all in with everything in her life, she puts her all into everything she does, tacking obstacles with a fierce intensity, she's also been known to get tunnel vision when she comes across a task she must finish.

Ambitious- Her parents always told her to reach for the stars, when she sets her mind to something she usually gets it done

Callous- Chi has a hard time picking up on social cues, she’s gotten better at it but her team mates still say she comes off as detached at times

Iago has been a sled dog all his life. His father and grandfather before him did so, too. He trained hard, always looking to be half the dog his ancestors were. He often dreamt of joining a talented team and winning the greatest race a sled dog could run: The Iditarod. His father usually scoffed when the pup would voice his dreams as Iago was never good enough in his eyes. While his breeder initially had hoped to make a drafting dog out of Iago, the Chinook’s temperament and attitude made him unsuitable for such a sport. So he got his wish though, imagine his dismay when he was placed at the swing dog position.

:Personality:
Abrasive and overbearing Iago is what most would call a control freak. He has to have everything done his way or there will be trouble. Since pup hood he's been the head honcho, the top dog, and he has no intentions of changing that anytime soon. Most who meet Iago would call him egotistical, he is very proud of his heritage and bloodline. As a pure bred Chinook he is a rare find and was taught at an early age that he was superior, sadly that idea did not dissipate into adulthood. Iago struts around most days with his tail high in the air and a knowing smirk on his face, while he is quite intelligent he has a habit of throwing his wits into other's faces. He is a proud canine and it doesn't take much to hurt his pride, he gets embarrassed easily and tends to lash out to compensate. While his intelligence and strength would make him a great lead dog he has a problem accepting help from others and tends to get snappish when under intense pressure. The one thing Iago hates most is being looked down upon (even though he looks down on others) and will usually result to petty insults to tear down the offender. Iago is working on being a more lovable canine but it's a process, lucky for him his closest friends understand and accept his personality quirks. While he might be a bit controlling with a few tweaks he might make a great lead dog someday.

Agility- Iago is swift and surefooted, he can tackle any terrain and actually prefers a more rigorous race course
Wit- He is quite keen and clever, he enjoys working things through his head
Brawn- Iago’s got brute strength and has no issue throwing his weight around when he sees fit

Rafe was bred for the life of sled racing, both of his parents being wheel dogs. He was the largest puppy in his litter, and he had two siblings, Casper and Parker, both males. While he was young he played with his brothers often, and he was always on the watch for an adventure. It wasn't long before he was sold to a sled dog team, that went by the name "The Competition". As soon as he started training, it was obvious that he'd do best as a wheel dog, since he was strong. He's been a wheel dog for his whole life, and he loves his job on the team.
:Personality:
At first, Rafe seems like a calm, polite and civilized dog; a convincing facade that rarely ever slips, but as soon as he is provoked, his personality will take a dramatic turn. He'll become aggressive and ruthless, and he doesn't have much control over what he says when he's mad, he's even been known to threaten others. This, plus his intimidating appearance might frighten others. He's definitely not someone you want to mess with. If you do manage to get on his good side, though, he'll prove to be a loyal friend. He guards his loved ones with his life, and is fiercely protective over them. Despite how scary he can be, he's cunning and suave, and he can easily charm or manipulate others into getting them to do what he wants. Once he's set his mind on a certain task, he won't quit until he's completed it; he's a very stubborn dog.

Velvela was the guard dog for one of the richer families of Nocome. The family bought her from the Netherlands, hoping that a more 'wolf-like' dog would keep trespassers away. She spent most of her time chained up in the front yard, and was only let off for occasional walks, or to come inside when there was too much snow. It was a boring life, and eventually Velvela got sick of it. One day, while out on a walk, she suddenly took off, catching the human that was walking her off guard and causing the leash to slip out of his hand. She ran into the wilderness, where she planned to stay; not wanting to be near to any humans. It was a bit of a lonely life, with many dangers, but she got used to it. One night, she found a starving dog, and after hearing her story of her experience with humans, she took pity on the dog, and decided to give her some food and teach her how to survive. She soon found out the dog's name was Ivy, and the two became close friends. Eventually she decided to split up with Ivy, thinking that it was best that other dog learned to be independent. She regrets the decision, and hopes she'll meet Ivy again some day.
:Personality:
Velvela is an intimidating, tough dog. She considers herself a perfectionist, and always tries to stay in top physical condition. In her spare time, she'll most likely be found practicing her fighting or hunting. She's never afraid to give others a piece of her mind, and her straightforwardness might make her seem rude at times, but if you want an honest opinion, she's the dog to go to. She doesn't tolerate others saying bad things about her, and she won't hesitate to snap at someone if she thinks they deserve it. Even though she might seem like she has a heart of stone, she's very caring towards those that do manage to get close to her, and she can be very kind if she feels like it.

Experience - Velvela, having lived on her own for most of her life, has had a lot of spare time to practice her fighting, and she's gotten very good at it
Natural Leader - She can keep large groups under control, and will put others in their place if they put a paw out of line

Sirius was bred for the sole purpose of becoming a racer sled dog. His breeder took the utmost care to groom his whole litter to be good working dogs, though he was the only male who showed the drive necessary to actually be successful in racing, though his siblings were perfect for hauling or other working positions. As a pup, he loved to tug little sleds around, even if there was nothing on them. He grew and grew, slowly becoming more strong, and better trained. Once he reached 2, he was placed on a team in a normal position, which he didn't mind. He knew that he had to work for what he wanted, and learn the ropes. That he did, and he did his job happily. The musher slowly saw his aptitude and love for his work, and moved him up to a swing dog position, where he became almost like an apprentice to the lead dog at the time. He learned how to track and navigate using not just his nose, but also the stars and trails. What he couldn't learn from teaching, he learned from experience out on the trails with the team. When his mentor retired due to an injury, he was the obvious choice to take the lead dog position, but the other swing dog offered too much competition to him, and thus he was sold to the musher with the team "The Storm." Once again, he had to work up to his position, however due to his prior knowledge it worked much faster, though this does make him the most recent dog to be placed in the lead dog position of their respective team.

:Personality:

Sirius is a very talented dog, and he loves his job to no end. He's friendly and helpful, and always sees his team for what they are, a TEAM. He never lets his position get to his head, and takes his job as a leader as just that, someone to lead by example, rather than just by words. He cares deeply for the other dogs on the team, and would do anything to ensure their safety. He's level headed and even-tempered, and it takes a lot to anger him, making him a sure-footed and natural leader. If someone were to manage to get him angry, however, he would become very impulsive and hot-headed. He's very competitive, and believes that friendly competition is the key to success at any job. He would never condone sabotage, however, and tries to always play fair. Sirius is a very trustworthy dog, and if you were to tell him a secret and ask that it not be shared, he'd take it to his grave unless it endangered other dogs.

Level-Headed: Sirius is very level-headed, making him good at finding compromises where other dogs could get angry and resort to aggressive or violent behavior.

Trustworthy: He will keep a secret to his grave, and he's very honest. He wouldn't lie to his team unless it was for their ultimate safety.

Compassionate: Sirius has a deep love of others, and he hates to see any dog in trouble when he can help it.


:Weaknesses:

Youth: Sirius is still rather new to his team, and he isn't as experienced as some of the other lead dogs, and thus has to work hard to earn the respect of many older dogs.

I really don't know the word for this, but he hates being wrong, like, if you have evidence, he will believe you, but he will beat himself up over the fact that he wasn't right. He sees mistakes as bad things when he's making them (but he'll tell others that mistakes are ok) It's kinda like he's a perfectionist, but the reasoning is that 'Mistakes are dangerous.'

Harley was born to two previous wheel dogs of another team and sold as a pup to the musher for The Competition as a perfectly balanced dog. She showed her preference early on for the wheel dog position whenever the pups would play, so while the other pups were fighting over who would be the lead dog, she would always situate herself squarely in one of the wheel dog positions. She was trained up for this, and now she's extremely muscular and strong from her time hauling the sled. She had two siblings, though one died young due to disease, and the other was shipped off to a mysterious far away land called 'Idaho' for some family who wanted a special and rare dog to brag about. She works hard to prove herself, since her parents always pushed her to do her absolute best, then better.

:Personality:

Harley is an extremely competitive dog who loves a challenge. She's driven and focused at all times, and doesn't operate well without a task. She's rather intelligent, though not nearly enough to be a lead dog, she knows her own task better than her own tail. She's very nice as long as you aren't a competitor of hers, but if you're a perceived 'enemy' she will not bow to anything you say. She's loyal to the death to those on 'her side' however, and she tends to see things as black and white issues.

Loyal: She will always be a go-to dog for those on her team to come to.

Driven: If given a task, she will get that task done as fast as she can.

OverCompetitive: She can be far too abrasive towards outsiders when they are rivals of hers
