Seeing Bumbletail prepare to leave, Shadestep stood from where he remained unnoticed at a side of the den. She was the only real reason he was sticking around now that they seemed to be getting nowhere with their plan. Seeing as she was leaving, he decided he'd get out to clear his head. Shadestep brushed past Bumbletail as he exited the den, outside he stretched his limbs, and then he looked around the clearing—noting that the fresh-kill pile was low.

Lynk laid a abandoned den eating a rabbit she had caught. "This place has a good source of prey." She took another bite letting out a soft pur. She had gone two days without eating or drinking, "I just might make this part my territory, I grow tired of endless wondering." She said looking up at the stars. "The Lynx goddess blesses me today, although I still wish she didn't make me so small." She said with a sign.

Frostflight's eyes flickered to the floor, she had definitely said the wrong thing "okay" she meowed, her voice barely more than a whisper. She turned abruptly when she saw Nightfang leave, flashing his brother a furious glare before padding over to where Shadestep stood. "The fresh-kill pile is looking a little low," she said, not bothering to keep the bitterness out of her voice. Of course, she wasn't mad at Shadestep, she was angry at Talon, and she didn't understand why.

For a moment Maple's gaze grew softer, she thought deeply about what the tom had just said. Perhaps it was true? Although one glance at Stoneclaw changed her mind, these cats were cruel, unforgiving monsters. Maple shot to her feet "I don't need a loner to kit-sit me as if I would go anywhere near Stoneclaw on purpose. Now let me out before I hurt someone!" She demanded, knowing that she was being narrow-minded.

Shadestep turned his attention to Frostflight, an ear flicking at her sharp temperament. He dipped his head in agreement at her words. The dark cat sent her an understanding look before his gaze drifted back to the fresh-kill pile. "I'll go hunting to restock it. Want to come or stay here to keep watch over the others?" Now that he decided on getting out of camp, Shadestep could already feel a portion of the tension leaving his body.

He nodded to Bumbletail with a charming smile, even if she did have a mate, he was still a flirt.. he stood up and caught the glare from Frostflight and just smiled at her. His tail tip flicked contently as he waited for Bumbletail, "after you little lady" He said, moving slightly so that she could go out first. He looked around the den and thought this was all very weird.. what was up with the rogues and clan cats? The rogues just sat there and took whatever from clan cats.. this was kind of disappointing.. pathetic even. To him, they were like kitty pets who were scared of clan cats, it was insulting to him.. his eyes landed right onto Maple and Silence, a smile growing sort of weirdly, he so badly just wanted to bring up Drake but, he let it go... he turned back to Bumbletail and waited for her.

"Yea well keep her in place then Silence, If she tries to leave then I will attack her." He said turning around in the nest so that he was now facing the two. "I will take you on as well but protecting her just cause she tried to escape will leave you in questioning eyes." He didn't even bother getting up to talk to the them. "Instead of tryin to play favorites why not go talk to Drake and end this sooner stupid cat now shut up let a tom sleep." He said more harshly. "Im trying my hardest not to attack tbe stupid cats that took over our clan while you stayed in the shadows, remember Silence if she tries to escape I will attack, if you try and stop me you will have to answer to all the other clans waiting out side, lets keep it a peaceful as possible." with he turned back around trying to go back to sleep

Maple paused, dipping here head a little before turning back to Silence "I know, sorry." She mumbled, knowing her reaction was harsh, Maple flicked her tail in Bumbletail's direction "I don't think so, only that I'm okay.'' The she-cat
hissed and turned to Stoneclaw, her face, and body rigid with anger "not before I slit your throat." She muttered under her breath, half wondering why Drake hadn't dealt with him yet, not that he needed to though Maple could do that herself.

"I think I will come with you if that's okay," she said, glaring daggers at Talon
"after all, it will be nice to get away from some of these cats for a while." She glanced in the direction of where Nightfang had gone, purposely starting to walk in the opposite direction. Meeting him in the woods at a time like this isn't exactly what Frostflight needed.

His ear flicked at Frostflight suddenly wanting to come, he looked right at her as she glared at him, only smiling. He didn't actually care if she hated him or not.. he wanted to keep his brother safe, even if they may hate each other sometimes and he could take care of himself.. he licked a paw and ran it over his ear as he sat there, watching as Frostflight walked and he couldn't help but let out a little laugh. Then he stood up and followed, looking towards where Nightfang had gone. He mumbled, "dear brother you are such an idiot.." He then turned towards the nursery where Drake still sat, he thought he was waiting for something. Every cat knew Drake wouldn't leave Maple if he knew that she would be ok, the stupid cat was planning something.. or he knew something they didn't and was waiting for it.. but what?

Shadestep smiled simply as he walked with her, giving Frostflight a nod in acknowledgment before glancing at Talon. "We share the same opinion, I see," he added lightly, though his gaze still revealed his tiredness from the situation. As he padded out of camp he began scenting the air, his gaze traveling slowly around as he became more at peace. The soft song of birds instead of the hisses of rogues was a welcome change.
