Opening his mouth to reply, Shadestep couldn't find the proper words to say, and closed his jaws, puzzlement flashing in his amber gaze. "I'm a cat," he began, cocking his head slightly, "not a lynx, though I hear we're pretty similar." He drew back a bit, not from uncomfort, but from curiosity. Shadestep's gaze ran along her pelt's markings and then to where he had been the most interested before—her tail. He didn't see it out and flicking behind, but instead caught a glimpse of the bobbed tail from where he was stretching his head back. "I've never seen a lynx, do they all have tails like yours as well?"

Bumbletail>>Talon, Drake
Bumbletail was taken back by Talon's actions. She couldn't help but lean in more feeling safe with him. She looked at Drake she felt sorry for him she wonder what could have happened to him to make him so angry. She looked back towards the medicine den feeling sorry for Maple, she honestly liked thw she cat and didn't think ahe deserved being trapped in a den. All she could do was lean in closer to Talon, she looked at Drake once again her eyes full of sorrow for him.

Mentions: Talon and Bumbletail

He watched as the She-cat leaned in closer to Talon and the Tom's face a little more surprised.. he guess he wasn't used to it.. then he looked right into Bumbletail's eyes, why was she sad for him? He didn't understand.. he hurt her yet, she looked like she was sad for him. What was this? His eyes went back to Talon who seemed even more angered that he looked at the She-cat. "My my.. you are very protective of your mate.. they took mine.. you are lucky I don't want to bother with her anymore.. their down fall will come soon enough.." He hinted at something without giving it away.. he wasn't to tell that easily.. his ear flicked as Talons gaze blazed yet looked stone cold.. he must have hit a nerve.. this amused him. If he attacked Talon now, the She-cat would get hurt.. hmm.. should he?

Lynks looked at Shadestep with such curiosity, "A cat never heard of you." She before looking at her tail, wiggling it as she did. "Of course a lynx with a tail is a silly sight." She chuckled at the thought. "Are you part cougar, you have the long tail so being part bobcat is out of the question." She said getting up and sniffing Shadestep once again. "You don't smell like one, and you aren't ugly as one ethier." She said taking a step back. "You really cute actually, do cats live solitary lives as well?" She said sitting back down.

(hey guys, just to let you know if I randomly go inactive there is a reason: where I live (New Zealand) we have been hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and flooding. I'm ages away from most of it, but there are talks of my area being evacuated because of aftershocks and rivers bursting their banks :\)

Leaves crackled under her paws as she moved ever so slightly, Frostflight’s eyes widened as she realized she had blown her cover. Slowly, she peeked her head over the top of the bushes, she hoped he wasn’t angry that she had found him. He probably didn’t want to speak to her again, not after earlier today. “I…I’m sorry” she muttered, her tail falling limp on the ground. She cursed herself for being so awkward, she only wanted to help, yet she found herself so tongue tied.

Shadestep smiled at Lynks, chuckling lightly. "A cougar? No. All the cats I've known in my life have had tails like mine." His smile turned humorous at her compliments, and his whiskers twitched with interest. "Cats live alone, but can also live with others. If they're more compatible they can live with one or a few others, and if they're more loyal they can live in a larger group, like I do." At mention of his clan an ear of his twitched and he glanced back in the direction of his camp, tail beginning to flick behind him. "You probably didn't even know you entered our territory.. Haven't had time to mark it as of late."

She tilted her head slightly to the left. "Now that you mention it I didn't smell any other scent besides prey." She said looking at Shadestep. "Honestly I was going to mark it as my territory come morning." She said letting out an embarrassed chuckle. "So what is your name cat?" She asked realizing ahe never caught his name.

His eyes widened as he saw Frostflight, his odd eyes not hiding any emotion, they were full of surprise and maybe a hint of relief could be seen? Then after a moment the emotion left his eyes and he sighed, his expression was soft as he relaxed. He sat down and his odd eyes were on her as she said sorry. He was caught off guard at her words, for a moment he just sat there and thought about what to say before after a few long moments of silence, "you don't have anything to be sorry about.." He smiled kindly, for once he hadn't looked emotionless, his expression brightened as he sat there and looked at her. Soon snapping his attention away to his paws, a little embarrassed as he realized he had been staring and the emotion left his face. "Uh.. sorry for my brother.. he is much bolder than he seems.." He sighed, "I am just glad it didn't get any worse.." He finished. He hoped that a cat wouldn't turn him away.. but it was strange to him because he never thought he wouldn't want the one cat to turn him away was her. To him, her name sounded like it belonged to a beautiful starclan cat.. when ever he heard it.. he didn't imagine it would be a cat even more beautiful than he thought. He was flirtatious as his brother but, not as open.. if he knows the cat, he will flirt, just not in an obnoxious way.

Stoneclaw walked towards the den entrance he laid down his body half out. "Stupid she cat, I swear im going to kill that low life, mouse brained, camp taking, weakling." He mumbled trying to get some fresh air. He then notice Bumbletail near Talon his claw began to dig in the dirt, but his deadly thoughts were interrupted by Drake's words. "Your mouse dung of a mate wouldn't conpare to Bumbletail anyways, stupid cat but I am itching to dig my freshly sharpened claws into her soft warm pelt." He smiled evily. "She does have such a sweet scent, doesn't she." He made a that feel so good face at his words. "Wonder if her screams of pain are just as sweet." He said licking his lips.

Bumbletail looked at her brother before letting out a small sign. "Cats in darkness always act the same." She said before he wrapped her broken tail around her and Talon. "Stoneclaw please, his words don't offend me." She said her voice quite and shaky.

Talon
Mentons: Bumbletail, Stoneclaw, and Drake

He was tense, ready to lay his life for the she-cat if he had to until he heard a voice from behind. He heard Bumbletail say Stoneclaw so, he turned his head to look at the cat. His ear flicked as he looked at the tom, he looked crazier than a cat in his group and he didn't think that was possible.. but ok.. he felt Bumbletail's tail wrap around him and realized just how bad that was.. he felt how it had broken. It angered him so much, it could be seen in his eyes, he temporarily ignored Stoneclaw so he could get his thoughts straight. His eyes blazed as they were set back onto Drake, but before knew it, the tom had launched at him. All his weight made Talon fall, skid across the ground and he didn't realize Drake had launched between the two cats, he had knocked into Bumbletail once more. Talon was so angry.. Drake was already coming after Talon, he stood up, blood dripping from his jaw. The blood came from his tongue, which he accidentally bit when he landed. He launched at Drake and the cat skidded just as Talon had, Talon went over to Bumbletail, he looked so sorry when his eyes landed on her. He went over to her and rubbed his head against hers, he whispered, "go to your brother.. I will get the answers.. I'm sorry for putting you into danger like this.. I swear he will not get to you ever again.." he said, his eyes were sincere as he looked at her. "are you ok?" he was more concerned for than of himself, he moved so he blocked Bumbletail from Drake. He eyes were now locked onto the tom, "you don't ever learn do you? are you really that stupid?" he hissed at Drake, not moving from in front of Bumbletail, he was going to be her shield.. he watched as Drake launched at him again, this time he was ready and launched back at him at the same time. Both dropped to the ground from the impact but, Talon was first to stand, blood still dripping from his jaws as he looked at Drake. He was refraining from doing anything really bad to the tom.. he still needed answers.. he watched as Drake backed off and walked towards the leaders den. He looked towards Bumbletail and then walked towards her, his eyes moved to Stoneclaw. He sighed, padding up to Bumbletail, "I think your brother is better at protecting you than I ever could..." he said, sighing afterwards.

(funny how he is neutral to Stoneclaw but Stoneclaw probably wants to kill him XD)

Frostflight met his odd eyes with uncertainty, already she could feel her face heating up. She willed herself to not look at her paws, but walked forward instead, a warm smile meeting her lips. "It's okay, Talon is just different, used to a different lifestyle, where he can say and do whatever he pleases." She took a seat in front of the tom, captivated for a moment in his stunning eyes. She let out a small cough of nervousness and looked away abruptly upon discovering she had been staring, they both had been for that matter. "Enough about you brother, are you okay?" She asked, knowing that sudden appearances and disappearances can be upsetting; She of all cats should know that.

Maple | Rouge | She-cat | Mentions: Drake, Stoneclaw, Talon

Maple stood up again, she wasn't going to take any more of his tormenting "mouse dun..." Her threats were cut off as she abruptly turned her attention to Drake. He and Talon were locked in battle and Maple could already see the deep scarlet blood that pooled on the ground between them. "No!" She yowled, barreling into Stoneclaw and squeezing through a gap beside his thigh. She stood outside, the sunlight blinding her for a moment. Too late, the fight was already over, she watched as Drake padded off towards the leader's den. Maple went to walk forward, but paused, hesitant as he might now want to see her at the moment.
