Jayne frowned at Kylee's sudden departure. She didn't really know why she had left like that, but she couldn't help but wonder if she had said something wrong. Maybe Kylee didn't want to hang out with someone so, well, dull. After all, the first thing Jayne had ever said to her was basically stop smoking, and she didn't drink. She didn't know her too well, and for all she did know, she could be the type that loves to get drunk at parties. She rubbed her forehead, confused. Why did she even care this much? Jayden turned towards the sound of someone calling his name, and was momentarily surprised to see Kylee.. and then ashamed. "Oh God, Kylee I'm so sorry! I forgot.. I didn't mean to.." he sputtered to a stop as he could see a bit of hurt in her gaze. "I met someone, and well.. He kind of occupied my mind I guess." He muttered out the truth and felt somewhat embarrassed. He hadn't seen Kylee in what.. two years? "But it's really good to see you!" He smiled and wrapped her up in a hug.

"ah, it's alright," she smiled and hugged him back. "As long as you show me this new friend of yours," she teased playfully. "And we have to have lunch another time, I've so much to tell you!" She pulled away and started him dragging him back towards the group.

"Of course," he was so glad to have his best friend back. Perhaps moving here was better than he thought. Kylee brought him over to a couple of girls and she sat down next to them, so he sat next to Kylee, subconsciously directing his gaze across the circle towards Exavier, not being able to help the half-smile that tugged at his lips.

Kylee's smile was so wide she thought it might become permanent as she returned to Jayne and noticed she was talking to another girl. Something tugged at her gut and couldn't quite place what it was. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Kylie seemed to be starting up the game. "Jayne, I'd like you to meet my best friend, Jayden. He just moved here and hasn't made any friends yet.." she paused, giving him a playful look. "Well, I suppose he has made one." She set herself down beside Jayne and rubbed her hands together, all shyness gone, excitement replacing it.
She turned towards the other girl and held out her hand. "My name's Kylee, nice to meet you!" Ky smiled warmly, surprised by her current extroverted personality. She didn't get to properly introduce herself though, because just then Jayden tapped her on her shoulder.

"Uh, Ky, it's your turn," he seemed worried for her, and she didn't understand why; that is, until she saw what he meant. She froze immediately, not having expected to go first. A girl? Oh, God, she's attractive.. she paused, brow furrowed. Wait, why did I think that.. She refused to accept the signs. She turned towards Jayne, hoping for a reassuring look. She tried to remember what she had told her earlier. Just a simple peck, that's all it had to be, right? She stood up timidly, biting her lip nervously as she made her way over towards Kylie. She couldn't express how relieved she felt that it wasn't one of those sweaty gross guys.. Wait, was she looking forward to this? Her grey eyes sheepishly met Kylie's and she tugged at the cuff of her plaid button-up shirt. She didn't know what to do and hoped Kylie would do it all for her.

His least favorite thing about parties is that people drink way too much, knowing they will drive home.
