Daemon / 5 1/2 / Kappa Mentions : Hunters (NPC?) He trailed behind the hunters, tail swinging as he followed them. The youngest ones in training were growing quite nicely and he smiled brightly towards them. The pair had already managed to take down a young stag and the adults were sulking as they hadn't yet caught nothing. Daemon lunged towards them with a growl, "In shape group! Alpha team head left, beta team right, delta team on me." The wolves split off in groups of four, three wolves in delta which is why Daemon was with them. Ahead was a group of elk(?) and the kappa gave a short prayer for a bountiful hunt before his group took off as once. Diving into the herd, his group splitting into groups of two as they found the two weakest links. Driving them from the already running herd and towards the Alpha and Delta team respectively. Daemon barked orders at Sasha with soft barks and growls, the pair nipping at hooves and lunging forwards to keep the beast on track. Barks and howls rose up behind them from the other group but he focused on the elk. A yelp sounded and Sasha went flying backwards but raced back into it with new vigor. Soon Delta team broke from the cover of the brush and lunged forwards. The elk was dead soon. Their team being the only one victorious. "Pick it up we'll check on alpha team." They went and found one of the wolves dying on the ground, the elk taking off covered in various wounds. He growled, moving forwards, sending a howling prayer to the heavens and ending the wolf's misery. He whined and they headed back slowly. Wintergreen Female / 2.7 / Royal Guard Mentions : None Wintergreen was currently doing nothing, the young royal guard was watching the pups while they played and she lounged about. Watching for Kerrin or Storm, her heart had long since disappeared with Izusa. The wolf wanting to see the young one again, just for a bit, to know she was OK. She had heard rumors of the pup being spotted around the borders, but she always seemed to disappear before Winter got there. -short sorry- Coquin Female / 5 / Loner Mentions : Kerrin, Izusa The multi-toned female watched her apprentice with a fondness. At 8 months of age the pup was already learning how to hunt and even a bit of self defense. Coquin smiled and turned towards her den, "hey Izusa, when you finish meet me down here in the cave." The wolf had found a gem the color of the pup's eyes deep in the cave systems. It wasn't odd for her to go exploring at all, in fact it was weird if she didn't. The fae, just outside of sunrise, had found a cave which in the back hidden behind some boulders was a drop. It wasn't a straight down one, more like a incline into a cave system which had large crystal's hanging from the roof and jutting out of the ground. There were two spots that the wolf had dug out, one recently dug, where the crystals in the walls led to dens for the pair. One was much bigger then the other, filled with various skins and skulls she had obtained over the 2 years of her living here. Coquin smiled, Izusa's den would look like her's soon, filled with things the pup collected. Axle Male / 6 months / Noble Apprentice Mentions : -nothing to say rn- ![]() Edited on 02/10/16 @ 18:43:44 by Wolflord (#17200) |

Veena | 6 mo | Delta Apprentice Veena was still shaking the excess sand off her pelt when her brain registered a small, apologetic voice reaching her ears. She opened her eyes and tilted her head slightly to one side, regarding the lamed apprentice incredulously "For what? The water? That was my fault, duh." She grinned and looked past the apprentice, and dipped her head to the elder of the camp "Morning Virgil, how are you feeling?" With her morning greeting over, she lifted her head back up, her mother's strict teaching in her head. Kenai was pacing toward her and Axle, eyes narrowed in reproach. "What have I told you two about respecting your elders?! Keep your head down until you finish your greeting, you don't want to be disrespectful do you?" Veena scoffed "Mom, WE'RE the higher ranked. Why don't THEY lower THEIR heads?". Oh had Kenai shredded their handquarters for that comment, Axle had refused to join her in any fun for a whole moon afterward it seemed. Now she knew that the elders were the elders for a reason. They knew more and they'd served the pack way longer than any living warrior or hunter had, even Uncle Kerrin hadn't served the pack as long as Virgil and Annie. Or at least, Veena THOUGHT Annie was older than Kerrin. It'd been a long time since she'd seen the elder's warrior daughter, and Veena could clearly see that Virgil was worried about her. Veena was worried about Storm and Uncle Soren, but she knew Annie would be worse for wear than the two younger wolves. ![]() |

Xiva | Female | 8mo. | Apprentice | Mentions: Virgil, Veena The mixed-blood's head tilted, her deformed ear flopping onto her head (Even if it was much shorter than her other one). "Oh... Right. I'm not an Omega. Sometimes, I forget about that, even if it's all just in my mind." She chuckled quietly, looking away in embarrassment. That was something she still thought about, like a ghost haunting her. Why did the pack treat her as part of the pack, and not as the outsider she knew she was? Of course, there was Virgil who occasionally made fun of her, but she knew full-well that he was only kidding around, considering he came from similar roots and had similar problems. Plus, he had made it despite his origins, and was one of the elders for a reason. ![]() |

Virgil | Male | 10 years | Elder "Just fine, thank you, Veena," Virgil responded, accepting the Tauess's respect with a curt nod. Something about being universally respected pleased him and the thought that even an Alpha from Duskfall wouldn't dare trifle with an elder in fear of angering The Ancients filled him with secret vanity. "You've got to hold your head higher, little one," he advised, adressing Xiva now, "Don't act like an Omega if you aren't one. Simple as that." ![]() |

Xiva | Female | 8mo. | Apprentice | Mentions: Virgil "O-Oh, oops. I knew that." She stuttered, standing a bit straighter and lifting her head enough to look somewhat confident. The apprentice also realized her head was also tilted, so she quickly fixed that, only becoming more embarrassed as time passed. "Gah, why am I like this?" Xiva chuckled, shaking her head with disapproval toward herself. ![]() |

Virgil | Male | 10 years | Elder "Because you were born like that, Xiva, and you must try harder to fight it if you don't like it," Virgil stated a-matter-of-factly, punctuating his point with a conclusive nod. "You know, Annabelle was very self-conscience when she was younger," he spoke, sitting on his hindquarters, "And by 'when she was younger,' I mean before I lost my tail. She didn't like the way that the Ancients blessed her, apparently. She felt different because of her one blue eye. Other cubs thought she was strange, cursed, which is why she stayed around the adults more often. And you must know, she was never a bother, oh no. Sometimes even the Alpha would linger around just to hear the ending of her stories. Now, no one ever figured out how she knew the stories she did. Georgia didn't tell them to her and I sure as hell never did-- though Annie had said that she learned them from the birds." ![]() |

Xiva | Female | 8mo. | Apprentice | Mentions: Virgil "I think it's all in my head, not the other pups. I can't remember how exactly I learned about my parents, but I know I was doing perfectly fine until one day I just started getting paranoid." Xiva responded with a sigh, still trying to keep up the confident body language. "But... From the birds?" She asked, tilting her head, her long, fluffy fur visibly moving as she did so. "Can't birds not talk with wolves?" ![]() |

[:O I thought I posted?!] Virgil | Male | 10 years | Elder Virgil bent his body and lifted a back leg, bringing it up to scratch the place behind his ear. "I dunno. Maybe it wasn't birds. Maybe it was the Ancients," he said, only half-kidding, "Anywho, I'm about to go down to the lake for a swim. Care to join me?" [Short. I need bedtime.] ![]() Edited on 02/10/16 @ 18:53:26 by InsertCleverNameHere (#36227) |

Xiva | Female | 8mo. | Apprentice "I'm sorry, I think training is going to start soon, and I don't want to be late for that. Maybe afterward?" She apologized, dipping her head to the elder like she had seen Veena do. Although she knew her insecurities about the pack's thoughts about her bloodline was just in her head, she didn't want to see them as a reality. Plus, she'd get nowhere fast if she remained as lanky and weak as she was at the moment. ![]() |

Virgil | Male | 10 years | Elder Virgil shrugged, "To each their own, I guess." The elder male set off towards the sparkling lake at a brisk trot, his stunted tail flipping behind him. His creamy paws sank into the similarly-colored grains of sand on the beach, cushioning his joints effectively. The cool, crisp water swallowed his limbs and eventually his body as the ground dissapeared from under him. On the island in the center of the lake, Kerrin called for dismissal of training and evaluated each Tenderfoot individually, praising some and giving advice to others. Virgil dove under the surface, paddling his legs powerfully as he corkscrewed and turned over, relishing the calming sensation. Above him, small paws and legs began to work at the water and the Elder surfaced, startling a couple cubs. A gray young'un balked and backed away from the water's edge, whimpering and refusing while Kerrin attempted to soothe her and get her to go across. "I'll get her Kerrin, she can climb on my back," Virgil offered, receiving an exausted, but thankful glare and a respectful nod from the younger Beta. The small female stepped tentatively onto the solid surface of the Elder's back and was carried gingerly across. Kerrin | Male | 6 years | Beta Kerrin was thankful for Virgil's help and made a mental note to do some extra work on little Ellie [NPC] and maybe take her to the pond, give the rest of the Tenderfeet and her some extra swimming practice. Besides, the lake WAS the pack's "secret weapon" in a way. Wolves were trained to be able to attack even in the water, to be able to swim with speed and agility, to kill in the aquatic depths if need be. But right now, all he needed to worry about was the Apprentices. It was their turn to train. The tawny male tipped his nose to the sky and released a long, low howl, calling each apprentice to the island. It still saddened him that Izusa, his silvery-furred daughter, wouldn't come at his call, but at least Wintergreen was still here. Storm wouldn't come today either, but at least Kerrin knew where his son was at. ![]() |

(How old is Storm and Izusa again? Winter is 7 months older then them...) Wintergreen Female / ? / Royal Guard App Mentions : Kerrin Her head popped up at the howl of the beta, her... dad. Wintergreen sighed at the thought, moving forwards to answer the call. Her own head tipping back, a deep howl resonating through the territory. Wintergreen crashed forwards with her tongue hanging out of her jaws, taking a running leap into the lake to swim out to the island. Her legs pumping vigorously through the water to send her propelling towards Kerrin going way faster then the others. Seeing as she was the oldest of them all. Winter shook herself off once she pulled herself upwards, sending water spraying towards Kerrin. -short ugh- ![]() |

(they are 11 months. So winter is 18 months - she's a full rg now :P) Veena | 6 months | Delta App Veena perked her ears at the sound of her Uncle's howl (how she views ker) and nearly sighed, she'd JUST dried herself off from her bath! Uncle Kerr has the WORST timing. *Sigh*. Guess im washing all this sand out and jumping out there again - oh well. She opened one eye at the timid half tailed apprentice "Swimming out yet?" She hummed, sitting next to the other apprentice "Im going to wait for my siblings, but you might want to head over with Beta Kerrin before he gets angry. Ancients know we already make him angry every morning, you shouldn't get caught up in his angry pacing." She watched as Winter, a very quiet wolf in the pack since even before her litter was born, and Kerrin's adopted daughter and helper for training, paddled over to him after answering her call. She twitched her tail with a slight grumble - Axle and Wen better hurry up, Mom won't look very good if her pups are late EVERY time...Veena herself liked teasing Kerrin sometimes about it, but even she was feeling they were too old for being late - they were more than half grown! ![]() Edited on 05/10/16 @ 18:36:13 by 🔥Raptorfeather🔥(Cinder) (#26583) |

(She went over to help then) Axle Male / 6 months / Noble Apprentice Mentions : Veena, Winter, Kerrin, Wen The apprentice darted forwards, barreling over Veena in the process. "Hey! Why didn't you go?" He shook off the sand from his pelt and huffed, "Waiting for wen are we? Always later than us!!" The male tilted his head before moving to the water's edge and watched winters strong paddling to the other side. Lucky! -so short sorry ;-;- ![]() |
