Azure trotted across the grass plains, a mixture of different scents wafting up from the dry grass as she gazed across the horizon, the rising sun blinding against the faint mountains. She was nearing the border when a familiar scent came to her.

Shujaa moved out a a quick pace, his eyes fixed on the dark forms in the sky. He knew they were birds, but they amassed in a way which made him wonder if there was a carcass in that general direction. He was good many miles away, but he could faintly scent a few other lions.
He slowed his heavy trot and shook his thick mane, his eyes narrowed and he lowered his head. He let out a low roar, which traveled at an amazingly quick speed in that general direction. It was no challenge, it was simply a "Who's over there?" kind of roar.
Shujaa moved onward, his gait somewhere between a lope and a long trot. Overall the young male looked rather stunning as he moved across the grass and sand, his pale silver and grey body practically shone in the glorious sunshine. His posture was of that of a lion who was on a mission, namely one that was incredibly hungry and in need of nourishment soon.
Fine thick muscles rolled and jerked beneath his smooth pelt, looking like a velvet flag rippling in a gentle breeze. He had few scars, but they were enough to warn any would be enemy he could hold his own. He slowed his pace as he drew nearer, his body relaxed but his eyes holding a curiously tense gleam.

Oneyll heard a roar and twisted around, ears lying flat to her skull. She dropped the carcass and shook her head. Just what she needed to make her day great, a strange lion hanging around the premises. She sauntered towards the gentle shade of a small outcrop, her soft eyes fixed mainly on the far horizon.
She gave a sigh and lay down, rolling onto her side ready for a lazy nap in the shade. For some reason, it seemed that she were having a bad day. She lay her head on the warm earth and gave a long sigh.

Mbali ate the small carcass, making sure there was almost nothing left but some strips of fur and very small scraps of meat. She yawned, the moon and stars coming into view as the sun's light faded away. She licked her paws, ears pricking as she heard a roar far away. She lifted her cranium, ears pinpointing the noise. It was a single roar, not a long one of claiming territory or anything else. She curiously padded forward, following where it came from. Faint scents of other lions lingered, but she did not flinch and turn away. The scents got stronger, there were a few lions here only minutes ago.

Arden yawned, opening his large jaws to reveal a curled tongue and large teeth. His tail flicked as cubs played with it, one of his older queens resting by his side. She was a few years older than him, and may be pronounced an elder by now. The blue tinted king looked across the lands, it would be time for a patrol soon, and he would have to train his heir on his own. He heaved his mass up from the ground, stretching his limbs to waken his muscles. He trotted away a few paces to see Zenith flirting with some of the younger lionesses. He roared at him, calling his name and the two young little ladies ran off.

Zenith's ears pricked, as he was left in clouds of dust. He sighed and rolled his eyes, before his crimson gaze shifted to meet a mystifying blue and purple set of oculars before him. "Yes, sire?" He said, and out of sight unsheathed a thorn-sharp set of claws into the dirt out of anger and aggression. The large male huffed at him and lightly tapped his nose with his tail as he brushed past him. The young, fiery male winced and let out yet another annoyed sigh, before trotting away to follow after his mentor.

Shujaa slowed his pace and let his jaws part slightly to take in the scents of others. His ears pricked forward and he let out another slow bellowing roar. This one carried far more of a message. He was coming, he was not looking for a fight, and he was very hungry.
He sniffed again, hoping the strange might have some sort of prey they might be willing to share. As handsome and as fit as Shujaa looked his ribs were faintly visible from beneath the silky pelt. His tail tip twitched and he rushed forwards his body streaming out behind him as he powered forwards at a gallop.
He very nearly slid to a halt as he came withing seeing distance of a lioness. (Mbali) He lowered his head and hunched up his frame, trying to look as harmless as possible for a lion of his size and stature. He approached slowly keeping ten feet away from her when he finally got closer. "Hello there." He said, keeping his pale icy eyes lowered, the small black pupils rose slightly for a second meeting her eyes before falling again.
Shujaa watched her carefully, keeping his posture small and his eyes lowered. He did not want to seem as a threat, especially if this lionesses king was nearby. While he could indeed hold his own, he rather preferred not to fight. There was always a way to figure things out peacefully...

Mbali's ears pricked, and she tilted her head to see a male halt before her. She curled her tail and let out a small chuckle, raising a paw from the ground. "Well, hello there. What's your name?" She said, seemingly very friendly. She seemed quite healthy for a nomad, mostly because she was a fairly good hunter and didn't have a pride or cubs to feed.

Arden trotted through the savannah, huffing at flies swarming around his face. His large ears twitched to the sound of soft, quiet squeals. He turned around, Zenith close behind, and quietly tracked the noise down. As he got closer, with each heavy footstep, the noises went quiet. He sniffed the ground, and made his way toward a small hill with an opening. He looked down to see tiny eyes full of fear, clumps of dirt hanging with roots jutting out of the top of the den. He looked over to Zenith, signaling him.

Zenith looked down to see a dark hollow, with mewling cubs. He dug into the burrow and grabbed a very tiny spotted cub, crying for it's mother. He dropped it hard on the ground and curiously put a paw on it, bones crackling as it's cries faded. He sniffed the corpse and then licked it, but it didn't taste very much like anything edible. It was enjoyable though, not the fact that he was eliminating a future rival, but the crackling of the bones and the smell of blood. He grabbed another cub and flung it into the air, watching as it fell to the ground with a harsh thud. He put a mighty paw on it's small body and crushed it, guts bursting out of it's little fuzzy body. Suddenly, a loud growl erupted from behind them. The mother, about the same size as Zenith. Arden chuckled and left him to it, as if he knew that his heir could die.
