Arunasura walked around for a few moments before he realized that Maia wasn't actually here, but she must have been on her way or she was close, so he stole some money from a woman before he went to... some sort of food place. He picked something random and sat down at a table, ate it, thought it was disgusting, then went to go loiter around the entrance of this... mall. He already hated this, and he would hate it more when he actually had to start following someone around.

"Alright, we will go to both of those and then we can go by the food court." They kept walking in silence, and after a few moments they reached the mall. It was crowded as usual, and on their way in they say a woman who was talking to one of the security guards. The two stores that they were going to were right next to the food court, and they entered Hot Topic, splitting up to look at what they needed. There was a little stand showing new arrivals outside the door, and Maia stood outside the store looking over the shirts and buttons they had showcased.

Aaron was leaning against a post when the cross pendant trembled against his chest. He began to look around, and when his eyes settled on a partially purple haired woman it stopped shaking. He waited until she went inside to follow, then--seeing the store they went into--he went back to the food court and ordered a... pretzel, he guessed it was called. With cheese. He sat down on a bench in front of the store, slumping back in the seat and munching on the pasty and bland bread thing, waiting for Maia to come out of the... Hot Topic? What in the world was that?

While Maia was looking at the items on the table, she noticed out of the corner of her eye someone sit down, but she paid no attention because she wanted to go see if April had found anything. When she spotted April, she was looking at a phonecase with ghost on it. "Find anything interesting?"

April shook her head, looking up and away from the cases. "Nothing really, you?"

"Nope, let's head to Gap. I am going to need new jeans for tomorrow." At that, they walked to the exit of the store and out into the large walkway of the mall. The Gap was two stores down, and when they got inside April followed Maia to the jeans, where Maia began looking for her size in the style she liked.

He was still trying to figure out why everything had such strange names when he saw Maia talking to another woman, and he stared at them very openly for a moment before turning around, resting his arm on the back of the bench, and looking at the stores behind him. After a moment, he shook his head, then turned back around, almost freaking out when he didn't see Maia and this April person in the store anymore. He had to get up and look for them, but when he finally managed to find them again, and then he went back to the food court and bought a cinnamon roll. Now, he thought to himself, there is a name that makes sense...

After Maia finally found her size in the whitewash jeans, she pulled out two pairs and walked with April to the shirts. April's eyes widened at one with fancy swirls on it, and she grabbed one and held it up to Maia before she could say anything. "This totally looks like something that you would wear, Maia!" Looking down, Maia examined the shirt, and smiled.

"It does look like that, doesn't it?" She reached down and held it up to her chest, and nodded. "I think I am going to get it. You should look for a shirt for you, it has been forever since we came here." Together, they looked for a shirt that appealed to April. Maia walked up to a blue whirt that faded from light to dark blue, and picked it up. "How about this one?"

April glanced at it, ooing and taking it gently from Maia. "I like it... It is really pretty. I think you found me my shirt." Smiling, they both walked over to the register and paid for their clothing. "So you ready to eat yet?"

They walked out of the store and stood outside watching people walk by. "Not exactly, you can eat though. I might get something small." They made their way to the food court, and April decided on chinese."You go get yours, whoever gets done first will choose a table, okay?"

"Perfect. See you in a little bit." Maia turned, looking around, and her eyes landed on the A&W, making up her mind to get cheese curds.

Aaron once again went to the food court when Maia and April finally left the weird store, wondering if there was any place that sold sushi. He thought he liked sushi, but he wondered if the name had changed since he had last been to Earth. With all of these weird names--Hot Topic and pretzels, really?--he wasn't totally sure if anything had stayed the same, but, sure enough, there was sushi. So he went and got the spiciest roll they had, and sat down at a table, and ate it in seven minutes.

Maia's food was done first, and after she had payed she went to a table and sat down, opening the container of food to let it cool off. To pass the time until April got back with her food, she surveyed the food court, just taking in the faces and looks of everyone. A paranoid part of her kept looking for Zac, thinking he could be following her, because it seemed like something that he would do.

After a minute or so, Maia's attention was brought to April looking around the giant room, and Maia flagged her down, smiling when April sat down across from her with a red plastic tray with food on it. April took a glance at what Maia had gotten, and nodded in approval. "Nice choice. That guy was taking forever. I thought he would never get done taking the order and making the food."

"Well, you are here now. So go ahead and eat. I was just waiting for these toc cool down," after she finished speaking, Maia popped one into her mouth, and looked at the bag of clothes on the chair next to her. "So, I was thinking I might head home after this. I need to get rid of a few things back at my apartment."

April listened while she ate, and nodded. "That's okay. Is it some of Zac's stuff?" Maia nodded, and thought of what it would be like without his stuff there, and not having him over all the time.

Aaron went and got another roll, thinking he would never be not hungry. Taking corporeal form after at least a century in hell would do that to a demon, he was finding. He frowned at his roll, thinking about how long it had been since he was actually here. It had to have been more than a century. Two, maybe, or even three? A very long time. He had had no wish to return after his disaster the last time, but it seemed having that mindset was what had caused the situation he was in now. He was weak in his human form. One would have thought that spending less time in human form would make a demon stronger, but it was actually the opposite, and he was going to constantly curse himself for such a bad decision.

He lifted his head when he heard Maia and April talking about Zac, as his orders were specifically targeted to remember exactly what Maia said about the insufferable man.

Maia slowly ate her cheese curds so she wouldn't be left waiting when April finished her meal. "I am trying to think of how I will get his stuff back to him, even if it is only some clothes and CDs. Maybe I could have Jason come get some of his stuff and bring it to him." April,nodded while she ate, seeming to be in thought.
"How did he take it? When you broke it off, I mean?"

Maia rolled her eyes and put one elbow on the table to hold her head up with one hand."like typical Zac, he got up, stormed out and ditched me with the bill, but I didn't really mind paying. I mean I did, but it meant he was gone, so..." Letting out a sigh, she looked down and put the last piece of food in her mouth and pushed the empty container away.

April shook her head, and folded her arms on the table, having also pushed aside her now empty tray. "That sucks. But at elast it is over and done with."

"You got that right. It is going to be nice, not having to worry about making him mad any more or him getting super frustrated over every little thing."

(Sorry these are so short, I am kind of at a loss of what to say)

Aaron continued to eat his roll, although he was taking his time now. He didn't want to just be sitting here doing nothing while Maia and April were, even though he hadn't been in this realm for a long while he wasn't stupid. That would look very strange, especially if they stayed there for a very long time.

He wished he had a piece of paper and a pencil or pen, though, because if what they were saying was true about Zac, he would get very angry if the demon didn't remember their words to the letter. And an angry master--for now--could be very bad for Arunasura.

April had been worried about Maia, she had been saying how Zac got mad, and she had even seen it herself. "I am glad too. You are just lucky you got out of it before he got abusive. I would have killed him if be hurt you."

Maia nodded, having thought of this herself. "Well, if that had started happening I would not have taken it. Believe me, I probably would have killed him too." She looked around, taking in the new cycles of people coming and going. "Do you think you are ready to go?" April mumbled, and they got to their feet and went to throw away their containers and put the trays where they belonged.

April looked around, carrying the bag containing her shirt and then back to Maia. "Are you sure you don't want me to come with you to your apartment to help with his stuff?"

"No, I think want to do it on my own. Thank you for being with me though." Maia smiled, and scragched an itch on her arm as they walked out the doors and started back down the street.

About ten minutes later, they had reached April's building. "You sure you don't want me to walk you home? I know it's only a few blocks, but..."

"I'm sure, thank you so much, I had fun." April hugged Maia, then went into the building and Maia stood for a little, and pulled out her phone to check for any messages.

Aaron had begun to scowl as he was listening to their conversation. He was unlike his fellow demons in the fact that he honestly liked humans, despite their nasty smell and the terrible place that they called Earth. He genuinely felt sympathy for Maia at what Zac had put her through, and he wondered what the man would do if Aaron confronted him about it. He quickly dismissed the thought, knowing that he would pay for asking in the worst ways possible.

He waited a few moments after they left to get up and follow, leaving his tray and trash where it was on the table. He ducked into an alley when they stopped outside what appeared to be April's apartment building, and he peeked his head out from behind the building when he heard the door shut, and, seeing Maia still standing there, quickly hid again.

Maia began making her way to her own apartment, after stuffing her phone back into her bag. She wished the streets weren't always so crowded, she would almost always bump,into so many people. The road that Maia's apartment was down was less crowded rhan normal, which she was greatful for. She turned down the empty road when she was pushed up against the brick building and a guy with a black hood ripped her bag off her shoulder. He let Maia slide to the ground before running up the road.

Aaron slipped out of the alley when Maia began to move, and he followed her from a large distance, and usually tried to stay near groups of people. He bit his lip when she turned down her empty street, then shrugged and followed her. He could just pretend to be heading to another of the apartment buildings if she thought he was weird. But--as her bag was being stolen at the moment--he didn't think that would be entirely necessary.

The man was running up the street in his direction, and Aaron just stuck an arm out, which the man ran into and fell over. Even though he was in human form, he still retained some of his demon strength, and the hooded man had rammed his throat into Aaron's forearm, so it wasn't as if he would be moving soon. Aaron looked at him in contempt, then shook his head and picked up Maia's bag, taking it back over to her. He crouched next to her, and set her bag on the ground. After a moment, he said, as normally and without accent as he could, "Are you alright?"
