Wild horses roam the land, running through the lushes green to dusty brown grasses, giant, woolly mammoths wander about, drinking from the crystal clear, blue waters. Wallowing through rives and streams. Deer, yum... deer - The king of the pride, stalks his prey, it was doomed from the moment he lay eyes on it. His fur and muscles rippled in the breeze, he put the pressure onto his haunches before launching himself forward, wrapping his huge paws around the poor deer's back, carefully placing his sabers between the neck bones of the creature, breaking the nerve connection, the animal quickly dropped to the ground and that was that. In this roleplay we're the sabertoothed cats! There are pride roles and duties that must be completed to stay in the safety of the pride. Rules. You CAN die and you CAN kill, but if it's going to affect another player then pm me and the other player about it first! Everyone has to agree on it too. . Hunts must be Okayed by the king or queen first! . No god-modding/ seriously affecting anyone's character without permission! (You can try to attack, but the one being attacked decides if it hits! You can't dodge every time though...) . Stick to lioden rules! . If you read this write chicken nuggets in your other section! . You cannot breed without asking first! . Don't hate the player, stay in character! . No short posts! Pride StatusesOur characters will be designed using the lioden wardrobe! males will have the primal look (once it's added) females will have different looks depending on their ranks! Nova // Densite // Cub Nova was a bit surprised when Maximus licked her cheek and she purred in response bumping her head against his softly enough not to hurt or destabilize him. After making sure the ground for the next few steps was clear she turned her head to the male and asked "Is it OK if I rest with? I've been up for a long time and it'll definitely be warmer together" And she was really tired. Though emotionally drained might be more fitting. Negative emotions could take a lot out of you and adding that to bad memories and nightmares equaled one very tired little lioness. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He's spent enough nights alone and shivering and was ready to move on from the turmoil of his past life, he was ready to start fresh. Nova // Densite // Cub Nova purred again, happy not to have to sleep alone. They were nearly in the den by now and she was honestly looking forward to the rest. The other cub was a warm but barely noticeable weight against her side and she felt the urge to just keep purring. She didn't want to creep the other lion out though so she just let their cheeks touch a bit and licked over his ear once. So much for not being creepy, huh? She quickly pulled her head back at that thought and gave the ground an embarrassed look, glancing over at the male to see how he'd react. (I thought about that too. I think it would be cute but he'd need to toughen up a bit (I'd expect that he does when he becomes a teen?) and Nova is leaning towards asexuality so they might have to adopt. Though cubs would be pretty far in the future ^.^' Just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting your character into xD ) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maximus|Cub|Densite|Mentions - Nova He enjoyed all of the attention and affection Nova shared with him, getting a little sad when she stopped, but refrained from pouting. Instead he returned the gestures in kind, purring softly and rubbing her cheek with his, even giving it a quick lick as well. When he looked back they had finally arrived at the den and Max couldn't be happier to finally be able to stop and lay down. He took a few more steps before plopping down on the ground, his side brushing the wall of the den as he shifted to get comfortable, a hard feat when one had no padding of any kind to cushion his boney body with. He looked up at Nova with already sleepy eyes, his purr taking on a sleepy rasp as well, he patted the spot next to him, inviting her to join him for a well earned nap. (Oh he'll toughen up quite a bit, by the time he reaches adolescence the pride will barely be able to recognise him as that scrawny lump of fur he'd been. He's a fighter, even if he doesn't know it yet. And I'm glad you agree with the thought! Asexuality is fine, Max doesn't really even want cubs of his own, but would be willing to adopt or try for some if Nova wanted to.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nova // Den // Cub Nova smiled at the other cub lying down next to him and curling around him a bit to give as much warmth as she could. She yawned once and barely managed to say "G'night" before her eyes shut. She fell asleep to the steady enough heartbeat of the other lion, unconsciously purring to herself. (That sounds great! Can't wait for them to get a bit older ^.^ But maybe we should wait for the others to catch up now, they're all still sitting outside watching us talk, give them some time to realize the cubs are sleeping before we wake them back up. Of course, Maximus isn't asleep yet so feel free to post but I think I'll let Nova sleep until the others come back :) ) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maximus|Cub|Densite|Mentions - Nova He cozied up into the warmth of his new friend, his head resting on her back as he let the soothing sounds of her soft purring lull him into the first peaceful slumber he's ever had. He hadn't imagined that his life would get any better than it had been while he was out wandering alone, constantly on the verge of starving to death, or any other type of death for that matter. Luck had truly been on his side when Apheral had found him, now he had a family and friends, a pride to call home, life was good now. (Aye, I agree. The king kept a watchful eye on the two cubs, he almost stepped in when Max collapsed, but Nova seemed to know the limits and dealt with situation fairly well. Eventually the two cubs fell asleep, snuggled up to one another, it strangely reminded him of himself and Aphra. While they were soundly asleep he went and picked off some nice chunks of meat for the two cubs and placed them just outside of the den, but close enough to the cubs so they'd notice. He would need to feed Max at regular intervals if his weight was to improve. (Should I do a 1 month timeskip? Or one week soon? edit: just realised I totally blanked the queen XD) Apheral had been so focused on the cubs he didn't pick up on what the queen had said. Maximus|Cub|Densite|Mentions - Nova Time had been nothing but kind on the malnourished cub in his new pride, what had once been just a walking skeleton now had filled out nicely. He looked just like a 7 month old Sabre cub should look like, the bones of his body could no longer be seen as easily, and Max had gained bundles of energy in the time that had passed. He was currently standing precariously atop the den, crimson eyes bright and excited as he searched for his closest friend, Nova. He had grown very close to her in the month that had passed, and it was rare to see one cub without the other. Another good thing was Max had picked up a few basic and simple words, he now knew the names of all the pride members and could speak them clearly. Tail lashing excitedly Max searched the ground for his friend, not finding her right away he called out for her, "Nova!" and waited anxiously for her pop into sight. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nova // Densite // Cub Nova's belly was touching the ground as she slowly snuck forward. Her prey was only a few feet away from her, his tail lashing. She grinned, revealing sharp white teeth. A few more steps. "Nova!" she heard him clearly and could barely keep a giggle contained. another step. She ducked closer to the ground excitement making it hard to keep still. Then she put all the strength she had and jumped straight at Maximus "Rawr!", trying to tackle him. Nova hadn't changed much. Her legs were a little longer, she was a bit thinner. By now Maximus was a bit bigger than her. No surprise there, she'd be surprised to find a lion smaller than her. While she could never win a sparring match she won everything that had to do with hunting. They completed one another. She might have managed to sneak up to him but there was no doubt in her mind he would beat her in the following 'battle' 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maximus|Cub|Densite|Mentions - Nova The sudden sneak attack from below startled Max and he let out a squeal as he was knocked to the ground by a pounce from Nova, after the initial hit Max quickly gained his bearings back. Grinning and growling playfully he used his now larger body to roll them around, eventually coming to a stop and pinning Nova to the ground with a laugh, "Got you!" That was the newest thing Max had learned to say, and he favored saying it anytime he managed to pin Nova to the ground underneath him. It was obvious that Max was a fighter in more ways than one, any sort of fighting skills he was shown he picked up almost instantly, but when it came to hinting he tended to fumble and stumble. He wasn't the sneakiest of lions and that made his hunting skills suffer majorly, he didn't mind it much though, and more often than not Max would sit out any hunting lessons and just watch Nova do what she did best. 0 players like this post! It was nice having someone her age around and now that she didn't have to be worried about hurting him with every move she made it was a lot less awkward. One thing she had learned was that she was a terrible fighter. No matter how easy the lesson she just couldn't do it. She raised her head from where she was still lying under the male and licked his nose. Maximus had become a great playmate and friend. He wasn't at all how she would've expected a male. A month ago she thought a male would be all high and mighty and behave like he owned the place but her Max wasn't like that. He was sweet and determined, a fighter and he was learning so much. She felt a weird warm feeling in her belly thinking about him like that. She leaned upward again and whispered to him "Do you wanna sneak out and look around? Maximus|Cub|Densite|Mentions - Nova He froze when Nova licked his nose, his ears going back in slight embarrassment, but all that was forgotten at the prospect of exploring. He perked up and jumped off Nova, nodding quickly and excitedly. Exploring had become one of his favorite things to do with Nova, it was always so fun and interesting, and they always managed to find the coolest things when they explored. He couldn't be happier than he was now, he had a super close friend, a family that kept him safe and well fed, life was good for Max and he hoped that never changed. With his tail lashing Max bounded off a few paces before turning to look at Nova, urging her to move faster with a few quick jerks of his front paw. The whole pride had taken the time to help Max find a good way to communicate with them with simple gestures or scratching in the ground, something Max never thought they would do. 0 players like this post!
