Wild horses roam the land, running through the lushes green to dusty brown grasses, giant, woolly mammoths wander about, drinking from the crystal clear, blue waters. Wallowing through rives and streams. Deer, yum... deer - The king of the pride, stalks his prey, it was doomed from the moment he lay eyes on it. His fur and muscles rippled in the breeze, he put the pressure onto his haunches before launching himself forward, wrapping his huge paws around the poor deer's back, carefully placing his sabers between the neck bones of the creature, breaking the nerve connection, the animal quickly dropped to the ground and that was that. In this roleplay we're the sabertoothed cats! There are pride roles and duties that must be completed to stay in the safety of the pride. Rules. You CAN die and you CAN kill, but if it's going to affect another player then pm me and the other player about it first! Everyone has to agree on it too. . Hunts must be Okayed by the king or queen first! . No god-modding/ seriously affecting anyone's character without permission! (You can try to attack, but the one being attacked decides if it hits! You can't dodge every time though...) . Stick to lioden rules! . If you read this write chicken nuggets in your other section! . You cannot breed without asking first! . Don't hate the player, stay in character! . No short posts! Pride StatusesOur characters will be designed using the lioden wardrobe! males will have the primal look (once it's added) females will have different looks depending on their ranks! Nova // Densite // Cub Nova let out an amused huff as she picked herself up off the ground. Then she broke into a run easily catching up to Max. He seemed to love exploring more than anything and Nova honestly wasn't surprised, it was kind of boring just sitting in and around the dens all day. Plus Maximus had shown her how he caught bugs before he was rescued and that day she had had her first kill. Using his tips and her own instincts she had managed to catch a mouse! "Do you wanna look for something or just wander around?" She wasn't sure how long they had until someone noticed they were gone and she wanted to make the most of their freedom. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maximus|Cub|Densite|Mentions - Nova When asked if he wanted to simply look around or actually explore and look for something Max snorted softly and rolled his eyes, giving Nova his, 'you should already know the answer' look before bounding off again, his black and tan pelt disappearing into the shrubbery ahead of him. Of course he wanted to look for something, the last time they'd explored they had just walked around until they got caught, and Max had found it a bit boring. This time he wanted to make things exciting, but soon the young male was stopped in his tracks, head lifted up and ears perked at full attention. Something had caught Max's attention, but he didn't know what the noise could have come from and didn't want to risk it being something that would eat them. His maw was open as he drew in the scents on the air, trying to discern what could possibly be creeping through the undergrowth towards them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nova // Densite (but not really anymore) // Cub Nova sighed when the male took off. She turned and ran in the same direction, trying not to lose him in the thick shrubbery. Now, Nova was a good runner and she had great stamina too, she was a natural born hunter after all (or that's what she likes to think) but there's one thing besides fighting she's very bad at. Stopping. So when Max suddenly halted and opened his mouth to smell the air all Nova could do was squeak before she barreled into him the second time today. (Sorry this is even shorter than normal but I wasn't sure if Max would fall over from this. Before, she actually jumped at him, this time she even slowed down a bit. NPC Event ~ The young pachycrocuta could smell the cubs, it was a bit older than them, a year old maybe? It had been kicked from it's pack and left to die. But this pachycrocuta was not going to do that. It wanted to prove it was better than them. It didn't need them to be strong! Apheral // King // grassy plains // 5 years He sniffed the air, still crouched like he had been for about 10 minutes. He could pick up a smell but couldn't quite tell what it was. He heard a rustle in the tall grass and pricked his ears to get a better sense of direction. Prey. His eyes picked out the direction he wanted to travel and his radar-like ears guided him along his course perfectly. His bounding leaps ever advancing on the poor animal. He heard the rattle of quick paced hooves but it was too late. He was already close behind the animal and all it took was one, large leap and he had it by it's rear. He used his full body weight to swing the animal off balance, sending it crashing to the ground and before it had a chance to get back up he pounced on it's throat, the animal let out a short squeal, his sabers doing the rest of the work. Maximus|Cub|Densite, but not really|Mentions - Nova When Nova came barreling into him Max let out a squeak that mirrored hers and tumbled to the ground in a tangle of legs and fur. After they had stopped tumbling and Max could finally regain his bearings yet again he opened his eyes. If Max could blush right now, he's be a bright red, they'd ended up in a bit of an awkward position, he was splayed in top of Nova, their noses pressed tightly together. In a quick instant Max leapt off Nova, looking away and scuffing the ground with his paw, "Sorry." He mumbled softly, the noise off in the undergrowth again catching his attention, one ear swivelling towards the source of the sound was soon followed by the other ear and his head. His expression was one of a lion focusing on something intently, there was just a slight rustling, and the faintest of pawfalls somewhere ahead of them. The wind wasn't blowing in Max's favor, carrying the cub's scent in the wind towards the unknown creature ahead. 0 players like this post! Like? |

What surprised her more though was how disappointed she was when he broke the contact. She was just about to react to his apology when she heard it: rustling. She narrowed her eyes in the direction of the sound. What was that? She slowly got up to stand next to max. When she turned to ask him if he knew what that could be she could already see the answer on his face. He had no idea either. They had a few choices here, some more idiotic than others."What do you wanna do? Should we go check what it is and warn the pride? Or should we just run?" Nova hated making decisions. She knew it wasn't fair to make Max decide everything but he did tend to make the more reasonable decision. Her eyes flicked between him and the source of a faint smell. The scent on the wind had every hair on Max's body standing on end, his ears were pinned back to his head and his claws glinted in the sunlight as they slipped from their sheathes and dug lightly into the cold ground below, "Nova, go. Fast." Whatever it was that was out there was bad news for the pair of them, he might be a cub, but Max wasn't stupid, he's survived six months on his own and knew very well what danger smelled like. It sounded a bit childish but it would be better this way. She was faster than the male, if one of them were to be left behind on accident it would be him. He was obviously scared of whatever was behind them so it must be something dangerous. If they got caught they would have better chances of survival together, she wouldn't risk him not being able to keep up with her. Her own claws unsheathed, mimicking his, to get a better hold on the ground. And then a cold thought gripped her. "But we can't lead it home, the babies are there!" 0 players like this post! Like? |

The small smile he offered after was the rest of his unspoken sentence, "You need to go, so it doesn't find them." Max knew what he was doing was dangerous, but he didn't care, he wanted to make sure Nova would be safe before he thought about himself. She might not be a great fighter but she wasn't a coward either!"Forget it" she growled back "I'm staying with you, nothing you do or say is gonna change that!" Sure, it might be a stupid idea but at the very least she could be bait or something. Dodging was the one thing in battling that was the closest to hunting motions, she managed to do it fairly well. sometimes. Maximus|Cub|Densite, but not really|Mentions - Nova He should have known better, Nova would never let him do something this stupid alone, and so on a split second decision Max bolted forward, directly towards whatever it was he sad smelling. He burst through a bush and saw it, he had seen one of these things before, but a much bigger version. He didn't stop running, even after seeing the beast, instead he pushed on, dipping down and suddenly sliding underneath its belly and lashing at it with one paw. His claws had caught flesh, he could see the blood staining them as he lurched out from under the animal and darted a few feet off, pausing to see if he'd gotten its attention with that move. And boy did he get the attention he'd been seeking. The beast screeched in anger as it barreled after Max causing the cub to bolt again, heading further and further away from the densite, leading the creature away from it and, hopefully, Nova as well. 0 players like this post! Nova // Densite but not really // Cub Really? Nova stood perplexed for a second before dashing after them. Idiot! He was such an idiot running off alone. She got t a tiny clearing and saw Max running blood on his paws, the beast with a belly injury right behind him. She didn't waste a second and took off after them. They were fast but she was faster catching up to them took only a few moments and she did what she had seen a long time ago. She jumped high. Higher than ever before and with much more speed than she was comfortable with but she managed to do what she wanted to, she landed on the beasts back. Her claws dug into it's skin as it howled in anger and tried to snap at her. She lost her hold, pushed off as hard as she could and landed on her paws. She didn't hesitate for a second before she took off. She went into a similar direction Max had but slightly to the side. She could hear jaws snapping behind her, good. Maybe they could wear it down, it was losing blood after all. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maximus|Cub|Densite, but not really|Mentions - Nova and Apheral Now that the creature had its focus on Nova Max fell back slightly, coming up just at its side and leaping into the air, his paws hitting the beast's side with as much force the young male could muster. His attic seemed to work as the beast was suddenly thrown off balance, howling in a panic as it toppled over onto its side and went tumbling forward in a flailing ball of paws and fur, head over rear over and over until it came to a skidding halt, head stuck in the low branches of a thick bush. Max didn't miss a beat and before he knew it he slammed into the beast, teeth and claws flashing just seconds before the overwhelming scent of fast flowing, fresh blood hit the cub's nose. The beast was still alive, but it was stuck for the time being and Max could handle things as they were now, "Nova! Find Apheral!" 0 players like this post! Dalitso | Hunter |Hunting | Mentions- Nova and Max The Red hunter came out from close by she had been out hunting when she heard both the cubs and creature, she moved towards Max and watched the creature "Kill it and we'll take Nova back, these beast tend to move in packs, if one is around then there will be more" she red hunter spoke quietly moving towards the dog creature "Max, you shouldn't have been able to take this down" she said sharply as she went to jump on the beast her eyes flashing dangerously "You should have lead it towards the adults" she spoke as she launched herself to the creature, she finished it off and shook the blood from her muzzle "You both could have been hurt" ;; Cri, homework has been kicking my butt 0 players like this post! It was mixed with lion and it wasn't far away at all. She took another look at her friend fighting the now immobile creature. It wouldn't get out anytime soon. She turned and ran as fast as her legs could carry her. It took less time than her short chase with the dangerous animal and she skidded to a halt when she saw her king "Apheral! Max is in trouble you need to come help!" She turned back and ran before the king could react getting back to Max before anything bad could happen to him.
