"I'm an eighteen year old boy with some issues, they know that," he said simply, not explaining to her how little they really knew. Christian was the first girl in the fitter family around his age, so she was the first time this had happened. Andrew let her leave, though, Val would be here in a few minutes.

Christian Left the house, not wanting to be 'in the way' when Andrew did what he wanted to do with poor Val. Why couldn't he have done that in the first place? Christian shook her head but as soon as she walked out, she walked into a strong chest and fell down on her butt. She looked up to see the same guy as earlier. Darby, she believed. What was he doing here? Christian blushed before he helped her up again. He had a helmet and jersey in his hands and she wondered if it were Andrew's? "We have to stop meeting like that," she tells him, smiling softly, her dimples showing.

"I thought that I've been watching were I'm going, but I never seem to see you," Darby chuckled, not having really beloved that she was the foster kid at first, but he guessed that he did now. He had offered her his hands to help her up and looked around when he heard a car, looking to see Val getting out and going towards the house.

Christian looked at the brunettte with striking green eyes who barely glanced at them before she strided right into the house. Christian watched after her before turning her attention back to Darby and feeling her cheeks heat. "Same goes here," she tells him before holding out her hand for him to shake. "I'm Christian," she states.


"Oh please don't tell me those are going to be your sloppy seconds," Val states, as she strides into the living room and throws her black hair over her shoulder, as she raises an eyebrow at him. "She won't compare to me. No one will." And she smirks before crawling into his lap and grinding slightly.

"Darby," he introduced himself and shook her hand in return. Looking at the helmet and pads, he said, "Andrew left these in the practice room again, but they stink to high heaven and the coach wants them out." He chuckled a little and shook his head.

Reaching to give her a light kiss, Andrew put his hands on her hips and said, "Easy, baby, she's a foster sister." Of course, Val probably knew that he had slept with most of the cheerleading team, but Val was still his favorite. She was usually easy to placate with a few gifts and compliments.

"I was actually about to head out somewhere," Christian told Darby, her dimples showing as she grinned. "I'm new here so I thought I would explore." She shrugged before holding her hand out for the objects. "But I can run and put these in the house if you want?" Christian still couldn't believe the beauty Darby had.


"That's what I thought," Val told Andrew, grinning before she pushed their lips together forcefully, showing no mercy. That's how it always was with them. Quick and simple. Nothing more and nothing less. She pulled away for a second. "I have half an hour so we need to do this quick."

"Sure, if you don't mind," Darby snooker and looked at her, "I would be happy to show you around town a bit after we drop this stuff off."

"Alright then, baby, let's go upstairs," he smiled and took her hand as they started to go to his room. Since he wasn't sure where Christian was, he didn't want to be doing that downstairs.

Christian took the items from Darby before she grinned at him and felt her cheeks turn red before she nodded her head. "That would be great," she tells him. Then she turned on her heel and went into the house, putting the stuff beside the door, knowing Andrew would get it later. Then she came back out. "Where should we start?" She asks Darby.

"Hmmm, there's not much to this town," Darby said honestly when she came back outside, "There's a park or two... There's a Walmart... Not exactly a huge city. Where do you want to start?"

"Maybe we can get something to eat?" Christian suggests, hearing her stomach growl before she looked back up at Darby. "And then a park would be lovely." Then she realized how much this sounded like a romantic evening, and her eyes widened. "Unless you don't want to because I would totally understand," she tells him, shrugging.

"It's fine, I don't really have anything else to do today," he told her and started walking to his car to let her in. One she was in, he just started driving to a McDonald's. It was somewhere close and cheap that he hoped she wouldn't mind. "Is this alright?" He asked her and parked.

Christian got into the car with him before nodding her head to let him know that she was just fine with McDonalds. When they got there she told him that she wanted the ten nugget meal and then they were driving to the park. She ate along the way and when they got to that park, her eyes widened in surprise. She'd thought when he said park that he meant playground but instead there were a few benches with sidewalks to walk and open green land. It was beautiful! "It's beautiful," she told Darby.

"It's about the only nice area in town," he shrugged and laughed lightly, "Little kids come out here to have birthday parties and stuff like that." Getting out of the car with his nugget meal too, he went over to a bench by the sidewalk.

Christian nodded at his words, deciding to take a seat on the ground instead of on the bench, and she breathed in the fresh air. It was so clean, and she loved it. She looked over at Darby. "Thanks so much for bringing me here," she tells him, really happy that he had. "I'm still trying to make new friends." After she finished eating, she wrapped her arms around her knees, watching as the sun set across the horizon.

"I'm sure that you won't have a problem making friends," he smiled at her and ate his food, "There are a few clubs and things in school. Do you think that you might like cheerleading?"
