"I actually used to cheer," Christian told him, making sure not to say 'before my parents accident'. She knew that would ruin the mood and frankly it was the opposite of what she wanted. She liked what they were doing right now. Christian grins before she stands up and looks around, making sure no one is coming before looking at Darby. "Watch this." And she stands still before she does a standing back tuck, landing on her feet.

"Nice!" He grinned she clapped for a second, "I don't think that most of the girls on the team could do that now." Since he was on the football team, he was around the cheerleaders a lot and had seen them practice.

"I've done it for years," Christian tells him, shrugging to show it was no big deal and she joined him on the bench. "I did that, gymnastics and dance. I was a busy girl." Christian shakes her head. She still remembered all of her lessons though she wasn't sure if she was going to get back into it now.

"I take think that you could do well," he smiled, "Our team usually sticks, so we'll take all the help that we can get."

"I bet you guys don't stink that bad," Christian tells Darby, staring at him for a second before she looked away with heat coming to her cheeks. Why was she so easily embarrassed? "You just need to push yourselves." Her eyes slowly look back at him. "Take a risk."

"I'm just one player, I can't make the whole team do good," he told her with a smirk. Standing up and stretching, he looked at a the little swing set and smiled, "Lists go on the swing, you won't get queasy, will you?"

"Not at all," Christian answered before getting up from the ground and walking over to the only play equipment which was the swing set. It looked fairly new she had to admit. She sat down on the swing set, not having been on one of them for years.

Sitting on the other swing, Darby started pumping his legs to start going higher. He could hear the quiet squeal of the hinges, but it was pretty stable as he passed Christian back and forth.

After swinging for a bit, Christian stopped swinging before just sitting in the seat and looking at the beautiful sunset. "I should probably get home," She tells him, scrunching up her nose before looking at Darby and smiling at him.

"Alright," he said and gradually slowed down, hoping off the swing. Looking around, he said, "I'll drive you back, how do you like everyone so far?" Darby was curious about her and how the foster family was, it wasn't like Andrew really talked a lot.

"Okay," Christian says when Darby tells her that he would be driving her home. She followed him to the car before shrugging her shoulders. "It's been interesting. There are always good and bad people no matter where you go." And she gets into the car, putting her seat belt.

"I hope you like it here," he said earnestly and got into the driver's seat. Starting to drive back to her house, he saw that there were more cars in the driveway now.

Christian let out a breath of relief to see that everyone in the house was back. She didn't want to be home alone with Andrew or the girl he had invited over earlier. She shivered, thinking about it before she grinned and turned to face Darby. "Thank you for letting me tag along," she says before reaching for her door. "It was really fun."

"It was," he smiled and waved before saying, "I'll see you at school, Christian." Pulling out of the driveway, he went to drive back to his home.
