Christian didn't know why his last sentence made her so happy. But it was true. He would see her at school, and she was looking forward to it. She shook her head before walking back towards the house and pulling out the key Cassandra had made for her. Then she unlocked the door before going inside, wondering who she would meet first.

Cassandra looked up from where she was fixing dinner and said, "Hey, Christian, who was that you were with?" The woman was smiling, happy that she already seemed to be making friends, but she wanted to watch out for her.

"Just a guy from school that I have a crush on," Christian admits, heat rushing to her cheeks as the words left her mouth. For some reason she felt completely at ease around Cassandra and felt like she could tell her anything. "His name is Darby." She bit her lip in though before grinning.

"Ooh, is this the same Darby from football with Andrew?" She asked and grinned, "He's cute, tell me about him." Even though Christian hadn't been with them long, Cassandra had always wanted a daughter.

Christian nodded, being able to tell that this is what Cassandra wanted. She wanted a girl to take shopping and talk boys with. To get their hair and nails done together, and Christian was giving her just that. Christian was happy to. "He's really nice and actually took me to the park. I don't know much, but I plan to find out more." She grinned.

"Maybe you can invite him over for dinner sometime," she said and then asked, "Can you set the table, dear? Dinner will be ready in a few minutes and I know the boys are hungry."

"Maybe," Christian states, liking the idea before she did what Cassandra was asking. She made sure the tablecloth was nice and smooth before placing the plates, silverware, and glasses down, making sure there was a place for everyone. "What are we having?"

"Chicken Alfredo and garlic bread tonight," she smiled and said, "The guys aren't too picky, but let me know if there's ever any type of food that you don't like." The woman was getting the pot of noodles and chicken in sauce set up as she then went to the hallway and called up the stairs, "Dinner is ready, come wash up!'

"Nothing with tomatoes or avacados or anything of that sort," Heidi told her before shrugging her shoulders. She pretty much liked everything. She wasn't picky. "But other than that I'm good." When Cassandra called for the boys, Heidi washed her hands before picking a seat on the opposite side of where Andrew usually sat. The last thing she wanted to do was sit beside him.

When they all came down, Cassandra and Matt helped all of the kids set up their plates and get their drinks. She was asking the younger boys how practice went and asked Andrew about a math test he had, giving him a stern look when he avoided telling her his grade.

Christian ate her food quietly and once she finished, she took her plate before cleaning it and rinsing it off. Once she had done that, she put the plate into the dishwasher before thanking Cassandra for the marvelous dinner. It seemed like everyone was going to be early anyway. "Actually Christian, it seems like Andrew is having a bit of trouble with math and since I know you do exceptionally well in that subject, I was wondering if you could tutor him. I'd pay you of course." Christian shot a look at Andrew before looking at Cassandra. "I uhh."

"He's in a lower level class than you are too, he hasn't liked any of his other tutors and he can't afford another bad grade on a test," she continued and saw that Andrew looked annoyed. He didn't seem to see the importance of school a lot, but she wanted her children to go to college.

Heidi didn't want to. She really didn't want to be anywhere near Andrew, but after seeing the pleading look on Cassandra's face, she conceded. "Okay," she whispered, and Cassandra smiled. "Great! I'll give you ten dollars per session. Here." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a ten dollar bill. "Why don't yall start tonight?" Heidi began to open her mouth to say no.

"Mom, I just had a test today, I'm not going to have any new material," Andrew told her, complaining lightly. Cassandra sighed, but said, "Fine, you can start tomorrow, but I want her to go over the test with you when you get it back. You better have at least a B on your next test or I'm pulling you off the football team."

Although Heidi was happy that she wouldn't have to do anything tonight, she was still nervous about tomorrow. She wanted to do anything she could to help Cassandra, but that didn't mean that she had to like tutoring Andrew. The next day went by in a flash, and she actually got offered a ride home with Darby which she really appreciated. He even got her a smoothie along the way from chick fil a which was very sweet of him to do. He asked her out, and of course she agreed before going inside the house. She inhaled before walking inside the house and knocking on Andrew's door, exhaling.
