Kelsie smiled when he laced his fingers through hers, she squeezed his hand for a second before saying in a low volume like they had been doing less than half an hour ago, "Do you want to tell them now?"

He had started running his thumb over the back of her hand when he heard her whisper, and he froze for a moment before forcing himself to relax, and he felt his hands start to clam up a little, "I guess..."

She nodded then said in a louder voice now so her parents could hear, "Mom, Dad, Damiaan and I need to talk to you about something...can we go to the living room for that?"

Damiaan kind of looked at the table again, swallowing hard and gripping Kelsie's hand tightly, maybe too tight, but if he were being honest with himself he was actually afraid to tell her parents what he was... Luckily he thought Kelsie would do most of the talking, since they didn't know Damiaan and she was their daughter... He bit the inside of his cheek as her parents agreed they could go to the living room, giving Kelsie a nervous glance.

Sitting down on the couch, Kelsie barely made a face when Damiaan squeezed her hands with a death grip, all she could feel or hear was the blood pounding in her ears. Her worried expression caught her parents off guard and now she was receiving confused faces from both of the older couple in the room, When Damiaan didn't speak, she sighed and started, hoping he would be the one to spill the beans, "So we have something to tell you, and we thought it would be better to have it done and over with sooner rather than later..."

Damiaan could feel how her pulse skyrocketed, and his own was doing the same. So basically it was almost normal, and the thought of that made him smile a tiny bit for a tiny second, then it faded. He just stared at the ground while Kelsie started talking, and sighed quietly to himself, still gripping her hand tightly. He hoped her parents wouldn't freak out...

Pursing her lips, Kelsie kept her gaze away from Damiaan, not wanting to see how nervous he probably looked right now. When he still didn't start talking, she continued with another sigh, "He's not exactly as...alive...as you thought." She cringed at her words slightly when her parents looked at her in confusion.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Her dad asked Damiaan, noticing how tense the both of them were.

Damiaan had to force himself to not grip Kelsie's hand any tighter, if he had he probably would have broken her fingers. He was still looking at the ground, and her father's question made him flinch slightly, and he raked a hand through his hair before shaking his a little in response. It seemed it was physically impossible for him to talk right now...

Kelsie gritted her teeth and finally managed to look at Damiaan...he looked like he was about to have a heart attack of sorts. "No, it's not a joke, Damiaan is a-" She paused and furrowed her eyebrows, she didn't want to say it...

"A what?" Her dad spoke again, this time more insistent.

Damiaan looked at Kelsie when she looked at him, before looking back at the ground. He pulled her hand into his lap, finally releasing his grip on her fingers, just holding it in between both of his hands, the warmth of it giving him a little bit of comfort. A little...

He bit the inside of his cheek hard enough to draw blood at her father's question again, and he brought Kelsie's fingers to his nose for a moment before saying, still very quiet, but loud enough, "A vampire..."

Kelsie now refused to look at her parents after Damiaan spilled the beans but a loud manly laugh almost made her jump from Damiaan's lap. "Oh! That is halarious, good one kids, your acting is spot on." Mark said through his peals of laughter. "For a second I actually beleived you!"

Damiaan jumped when Kelsie did, and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion before he looked at Kelsie hesitantly, not sure what to do. It was pretty obvious both of her parents thought they were joking, and that couldn't be farther from the truth. He gave Kelsie a helpless shrug, looking completely lost.

When the children didn't join in on the laughter, Mark paused and tilted his head to the side, "I know my Kels, she would never involve herself with a vampire..." He said in all seriousness but looked at Damiaan, gritting his teeth, "You guys are serious." He stated incredulously.

Kelsey nodded and bit her lip, not liking the look her dad was giving the both of them.
