Then the man turned around, although his face was still obscured from the large hood, that action made the horses start backing up. "We need to go." Kelsie states towards in a low voice as she turned Chestnut but the second she did, the man was in front of them in the blink of an eye. There was no doubt in her mind of what this man was.

Damiaan did not complain, or say anything, just turned his skittish horse around and was about to take off down the trail--after he made sure Kelsie was leaving too, of course, but then they couldn't leave.... He growled in the back of his throat, swallowing hard since it still felt like something was lodged in there, something big.

Before Kelsie could ever react, the man was almost flying at her, pulling her off of the horse and almost slamming her into the hard ground. That action had caused the wind to be knocked out of her lungs. Once she regained her composure and stood up, the man was walking towards her again, his hands in tight fists.

By this point, Onyx was freaking out to the point where Damiaan couldn't even concentrate on the stranger or Kelsie anymore, so he didn't notice when she fell off of her horse. When he couldn't get his own to calm down, he had to jump off so he wouldn't be knocked off, and he just stood there for a second, watching both Onyx and Chestnut charge down the trail, back towards the safety of their stable.

Kelsie looked at the horses charging off then back at figure walking towards her calculatingly, "You ruined my life!" He had yelled at her before grabbing her around the throat. He easily lifted her off the ground while she started kicking at him and tried to get air past his hand, eventually her leg caught his stomach and sent him on the ground as he released his grip on her. "Who the hell are you!" She yelled, but was gasping for breath and rubbing the sore spot on her neck. The man stood up again, and now his hood was not longer covering his face, she recognized those eyes. "Nate?" She spat, unable to believe what she was seeing.

Damiaan whipped around when he heard a shout, but he couldn't actually do anything since the man had Kelsie by the throat, but he didn't actually have to do anything since Kelsie kicked him... When he had an opening, though, he moved to jump forward and pull the other man away from her, but then Kelsie said a name, so he figured he'd better stop and see how this played out before he did anything stupid.

Nate glared at Kelsie when she said his name, "Don't call me that, it's Mathew." He corrected but Kelsie just scoffed, almost forgetting Damiaan was standing there in front of her. "You changed your name? After you left your entire family, then became a vampire." Nate just continued glaring at the woman, looking almost ready to give her a few more punches to her face. He wasn't the same compassionate man as before, especially to his family.

Damiaan frowned, and kind of shifted back and forth on his feet for a second, then kind of paced for another few seconds, but eventually stopped, knowing how distracting his random fidgeting could be. He did shift a few paces closer to Kelsie though, ready to hit Nate/Mathew if he tried anything.

"Why'd you come back then?" Kelsie asked after a while of Nate having said nothing. The other man just cocked his head to the side in mock consideration, "Let's just say I have something against dad, I thought I'd go directly to his little girl, see how much it'll hurt him to see you dead."

Damiaan shifted a bit closer to Kelsie--he didn't quite know who this man was, but he was pretty obviously dangerous. His next statement reinforced both points, Nate/Mathew appeared to be her brother, and seemed to be very, very dangerous. But even though his gut told him to take the other guy out right now, he still wasn't sure he should do that right now, it seemed to be more Kelsie's decision than anything...

"What have you become?" Kelsie spat at the man, keeping her distance but Nate just looked at Damiaan and nodded his head up, "Body guard? Or revived boyfriend?" His devious smile showed he knew the answer was the latter, but he waited for an answer still, which caused Kelsie to narrow her eyes, "Have you been following me for the past two months?" But Nate just shrugged before correcting, "Three months. I knew your plans to come here and it gave me an oportunity to bury your body easily where no one will find."

Damiaan's frown deepened as the man spoke, and shook his head a little, not sure what to do at all now. Kelsie's missing brother has returned, he's threatening to kill her, and now he's admitted to stalking her for the longest time?? He wished he could just go back to before he died, when life was simple...

Kelsie looked up at Damiaan, a deep frown set on his face, "Look, Nate, I don't know what the hell has become of you or why you now have a personal vendetta against dad but Damiaan and I are going to get going. Away from you. If you even dare follow, I will stake you, and if I can't manage, I'm sure I'm not the only one capable." She pointedly looked at Damiaan before starting her way back to the cabin, her brother was just glaring at her, as if he already had a plan devised and he didn't plan on actually killing her at this current moment.

Damiaan met her gaze before turning his eyes back towards Nate, watching him as Kelsie talked to make sure he didn't make any sudden moves before either Damiaan or Kelsie could react. For some reason,Damiaan found the way she looked at him kind of funny, but he just backed up a couple of steps when she walked away, then turned around and followed her, still with a deep frown set on his face.

"I'm sorry. I thought I would be bringing us out of all the drama back in the city but now my brother decides he wants to kill me because of some grudge he has against my dad." Kelsie didn't know what happened for the events to fall like that or if Nate's reasoning is even good.
