I remember that no long ago a player asked in chat what were the effects of lionesses' personalities, besides the nurturing one, and that a staff member replied that none, for the moment, but that it was already planned to change. I've searched and found no other suggestion that focused solely on this, so here we go:

Female's Personalities Overhaul!



Right now, we have about 50 different personalities for females, 10 per karma group, and only one of those - Nurturing - has a notable effect within our prides beyond the mood boost and penalties that all karma groups share. This is a lot of effects to make, so I thought that we could begin suggesting 9 to complement the "taking care of an extra cub as a broodmother" one, and see where they fit within all the karma groups as a personality. Or that could stay exclusive to the good girls, like some male personalities? Or maybe add a counterpart to the evil side?

Perhaps we could have some lionesses have a chance of bringing something "extra" from their hunts, like the Stingy or the Gracious ones? Have some that help with the general mood of the pride, like the Joyful, Upbeat or Humorous personalities? Maybe some that can boost our PvP or PvE chances, like the Loud and Brutal ones? What would you want your ladies to be able to do?

Possible Personalities' effects:


Interaction Effects



  • A small chance of regaining 5% of energy once per Rollover and lioness when interacting with certain personalities (Cuddly, Gentle/Calm, Laidback, Lazy, Grumpy/Secretive?).

  • A small chance of getting 1-5 SB upon interaction with certain lionesses.

  • The chance of getting a special decor (Patient Expression) when you interact with certain lionesses (Emotional, Needy).

  • A small chance of gaining 1-3% of impression level upon interacting with certain lionesses (Proud, Vain)/A small chance of gaining certain "messy" decors upon interacting.

  • A chance of being gifted small trinkets - single use bones, feathers - upon interacting with certain lionesses (Distant?).

  • Exclusive to Awkward lionesses: a chance of being gifted your least favorite food upon interacting.

  • A small chance of the lioness gaining 10-25 EXP points upon interaction with the lioness in question.

  • A small chance of the lioness gaining 1-3 random stats when interacting with the lioness in question.



The Feed all, Play all feature would have 0% chance of any of the interaction effects taking place: this is not a penalty, but a warning. For the interactions' effects to take place, you have to actually interact with the lionesses.

Special Effects



  • Protect 6 cubs as a Broodmother (This is already in-game)

  • Aid in a PvE battle once per day. This could work as Laharu did, and have her attack after every attack of our own. Intrepid

  • Exclusive to Romantic ladies and an Evil personality (Sinister?): Be able to mate with them once per Rollover without any energy cost/Enable the mating to another lioness without energy cost once per Rollover.|Auto-claim a lioness in explore once per RO thanks to her matchmaking/conniving ways. It's been pointed out that the auto-claim effect has the potential of being abused, so a way to limit it or a whole new effect would be welcome!

  • *Exclusive to a Good personality (Trusting?): Escort a pride member to the Natural Reserve once per Rollover; the lioness would get a small mood boost, gain 1-3 stats at random/give you +5 karma while she loses a hunt. This would take effect when you click on the "Send to Nature Reserve" option at the bottom of an unsecured lion page, and the flavor text could be: "You decide to take [LION'S NAME] to the Nature Reserve, but [TRUSTING LIONESS] volunteers to do it for you. She missed a hunt, and you gained [REWARD]."

  • *Exclusive to a Bad personality (Brutal?): Kill a pride member once per Rollover; the lioness would get a small mood boost/satiate hunger/add a carcass to the hoard/gain 1-3 stats at random/give you -5 karma while she loses a hunt. This would take effect when you click on the "Kill" option at the bottom of an unsecured lion page, and the flavor text could be: "You approach [LION'S NAME] with murderous intent, but [BRUTAL LIONESS] steps in and demands to do it, and you let her. She missed a hunt, and you gained [REWARD]."

  • Bring a small carcass once per Rollover when requested – this would make a brand new button a necessity/Have a small chance of bringing a critter carcass back with the usual hunting carcasses – the lioness would need to be part of that hunt.

  • Exclusive to Cold Lionesses: Don't loose any mood when taking a cub from their care.

  • Being able to cut the hunting time by half once per Rollover (the lioness must take part on the hunt).

  • Exclusive to Graceful and Harsh lionesses: A second chance per Rollover to train a single cub that has failed their training that Rollover.



*Those two are counterparts, and the idea is for only one of those effects to be possible, but the hunt cost is a must; which effect do you prefer? Karma? Mood for the lioness? Stat gain? Other?

Given that these effects could be taken advantage of with larger prides, a good way to prevent a possible abuse would be establishing a system similar to the stud slots: every week an account has a given amount of effect slots, and every time one of these is purposely used it'd take a slot away, until there are no more left or the counter refills the following week.

Automatic Effects



  • Raise pride members’ moods 2-4% every Rollover. This would take effect only within compatible karma groups: Kind and Good, and Snarky and Evil. Neutral is, well, neutral, so it'd only work within other neutral lions. The personalities that could have this effect could be Joyful, Upbeat, Humorous, Sassy and Mischievous.

  • Prevent a single pride member from leaving if they do so from a low mood, randomly (Warm lionesses or similar?).It's been pointed out that this effect has the potential of being abused, so a way to limit it or a whole new one would be welcome!

  • Exclusive to Rebellious personality: Lose only a 5% of mood upon Rollover, regardless of the king's personality.

  • Exclusive to Stingy and Prudent lionesses: they lose 5-10% less hunger per RO due to their "private stash".



Edit: I erased the whole personalities lists, for convenience purposes, given that the post was getting very long. I'll repost them once each one has been given a possible effect, preferably on a fancy table.

A typo for critter, sorry. I'll fix it in a moment. I was thinking that, the same way your male may encounter dead gerbils, rats, otters and such, your lioness may too, and bring it back with her with the usual carcasses.

Ah, alrighty! I'm supporting what you already do have, but some effects for more personalities on the table would probably make the idea better. Of course that would take some brainstorming...

Actually, maybe some female personalities could have a once a day use of an energy reduction for Killing/Sending to Nature Reserve. Like Sinister, Cold, and Harsh lionesses can kill lions for you, and Trusting, Proud, and Prudent lionesses will take lions to the reserve for you once a day. You'd still get karma gains and losses from it.

Thank you! I'm still thinking possible effects, that's why it's so blank.

The killing/sending to Reserve sounds intriguing; maybe the Evil lionesses could even canivalize their unlucky pride member too? I'm not taking about it enhancing any chances of mutations, only to satiate their hunger. And maybe the Good lionesses could get a little mood boost, for helping out a fellow lion? What do you think?

Also, I was thinking about having a counterpart for nurturing lionesses within the Evil groups. Maybe the Distrustful lionesses could be more protective of the cubs?

@Berenos Well, lions can be cannibalistic at times but it mostly seems to happen against cubs, and the males are the ones usually doing it. But I'm sure those kinda of lionesses would get a mood boost from killing lions too, anyways.

An evil version of nurturing in the distrustful ladies seems like a fine idea to me.

Hmmm... How about, Graceful lionesses can "train" a lion once per Rollover with a chance to boost their agility or skill stats? Would it be too farfetched? Harsh could be the counterpart of this, too.

I love the idea of female personalities having a small effect on game. It makes pride dynamics more fun and gives some interesting worth to various personalities that are right now nothing more than flavour text.

My ideas are inspired by the flavor texts, found here.

Good Personalities

  • Intrepid: She can aid you in an Explore battle once per day

  • Trusting: 5% chance of a small energy boost (5%) when interacted with (Play/Tussle/Groom?)

  • Nurturing: Can protect 6 cubs instead of 5 (already in game)

  • Joyful: Raises the Good & Kind pride members’ moods by 1% each day?

  • Romantic: Allows one energy-free breeding per day to any pride member?

  • Proud: 5% chance of a small impression boost (3%) when interacted with (Play/Tussle/Groom?)

  • Prudent:once a day, if requested, she can bring a small (1-3 use) carcass.

  • Cuddly: once a day can increase a cub or adolescent’s mood by 10%

  • Graceful: once per rollover she can train a pride member and give a 10% chance for 1-3 stats (only works on a lion once to prevent abuse)

  • Gracious: once a day can increase a pride member’s mood by 5%

Kind Personalities
  • Obedient: once per day, she can cut a hunt’s time in half as long as she is in the hunting party

  • Curious: 10% chance upon daily interaction (Groom/Tussle/Play) to give an amusement item (bone, feather, etc.)

  • Upbeat: 10% chance of 5% energy boost from daily interaction

  • Focused: 5% chance of 1% cub training for any adolescents she hunts with (once per day)

  • Warm: once a day can increase a pride member’s mood by 5%

  • Wary:She can aid you in an Explore battle once per day

  • Gentle:once a day, she can attempt to train a cub that failed cub training (basically give it a second chance)

  • Calm: once a day, can raise the mood of a lioness whose cubs are chased away by 10%

  • Emotional: 5% chance upon daily interaction of getting a special decor (just for lioness interaction? Something like a 1-use decor called ‘Patient Expression’?)

  • Soft: 5% chance of 5% energy boost upon daily interaction

Neutral Personalities
  • Down-to-Earth:10% chance of giving 5-10 SB during daily interaction (maybe with text about her haggling with the monkey?)

  • Spontaneous:10% chance during daily interaction of bringing a critter food to you?

  • Modest: 5% chance upon daily interactionf 3% Impression boost (due to her grooming you?)

  • Humorous: once a day can ‘cheer up’ a pride member, raising their mood by 10%

  • Evasive: upon daily interaction, 10% chance of bringing a toy (just don’t ask where she got it)

  • Laidback: only loses 5% mood per day, regardless of king’s personality

  • Friendly:once a day can raise a pride member’s mood by 10%

  • Distant: 5% chance upon daily interaction of raising Impression by 3%

  • Awkward:10% chance upon daily interaction to bring you a carcass with 1-3 uses (but it’s not your favorite food!)

  • Messy:5% chance upon daily interaction of giving you a special Personality only decor (1 use decor item called ‘Messy Fur’ maybe?)

Snarky Personalities
  • Stubborn:10% chance upon daily interaction that she gains 1-3 stats (from stubbornly practicing)

  • Lazy:10% chance upon daily interaction of 3% impression gain (due to impressing the pride by getting her to do something)

  • Unreliable:once a day you can ‘remind’ her to hunt and she can bring back a small carcass (1-3 uses)

  • Timid:10% chance upon daily interaction of her bringing you a critter as a gift

  • Needy: 5% chance upon daily interaction of getting a special decor (just for lioness interaction? Something like a 1-use decor called ‘Patient Expression’?)

  • Sassy: 5% chance upon daily interaction of getting a special decor (just for lioness interaction? Something like a 1-use decor called ‘Patient Expression’?)

  • Sarcastic: 5% chance upon daily interaction of raising your energy by 5%

  • Loud: She can aid you in an Explore battle once per day

  • Snarky: 5% chance upon daily interaction of raising your energy by 5%

  • Vain: 5% chance upon daily interaction of raising Impression by 3%

Evil Personalities
  • Distrustful: Can protect 6 cubs instead of 5 (Evil version of Nurturing?)

  • Rebellious: only loses 5% mood per day regardless of king’s personality

  • Cold: only loses 5% mood for each cub of hers you chase?

  • Secretive:upon daily interaction, 10% chance for 1-3 random stats for her (what has she been off doing?)

  • Grumpy: once a day can chase a single lion from the pride for a 10% chance of 1-3 stats

  • Harsh: once a day can ‘scold’ a cub that failed training, giving a second chance to train

  • Mischievous: 10% chance upon daily interaction of bringing you a toy (stolen from another pride member?)

  • Sinister: 10% chance upon daily interaction of bringing you a bone toy (what has she been up to?)

  • Brutal: once a day can kill a sing lion from the pride for a 10% chance of 1-3 stats



Some are repeats, but I didn’t want to give anything too unique to just one personality so people wouldn’t feel pressured to have only this personality or that in their pride.

Wow, you really put thought into this! I'll try and reply to every effect you suggested (I'll go a single karma group at a time):

Suggested Good Effects

  • Aid in an explore battle once per day: this is a really nice alternative to the PVP boost! I imagine this could be bellow the battle window, with a little "Ask for help?" button, similar to the use of a lucky foot. There are two ways for this to be implemented: that it acted just like a lucky foot and auto-win the battle, or lower the enemy's HP bar a certain amount.

  • A 5% chance of a small energy boost (5%) when interacted with (Play/Tussle/Groom?): I'm not too sure about this one for a trusting lioness... I'd already had thought about the Trusting/Secretive thing going on, where each one could give you a little amount of SB out of trust or to pay for your silence... I'd see it more in a Cuddly lioness, with whom you could take a bit of a breather and then go right back to explore!

  • Raises the Good & Kind pride members’ moods by 1% each day?: I'm finding the 1% on the low side, but I've no idea what amount suggest. Perhaps 3-5%?

  • Allows one energy-free breeding per day to any pride member?: Now this one I like a lot, because I had thought about it; I'd only suggest that it be appliable only to the Romantic lioness herself, but oh well, it's alright too. I like the idea that this would be exclusive to the Good group.

  • 5% chance of a small impression boost (3%) when interacted with (Play/Tussle/Groom?); I was thinking that, along with this, interacting with a proud lioness could have a small chance of giving a "messy" related decor, like Messy mane 1 and 2, dirty fur... Maybe it's a bit much?

  • Once a day, if requested, she can bring a small (1-3 use) carcass: This is very similar to the "bring back a critter idea", but it kind of clashes with the "escort a pride member to the Reserve once per Rollover" thing if it's applied to the Prudent ones, which I'd prefer solely on the basis that having Good/Evil karma lions is harder than having Kind/Neutral/Snarky ones and so they could have kind of... better or exclusive benefits?

  • Once a day can increase a cub or adolescent’s mood by 10%: this is a good idea, but maybe a 10% it's too much? And I really think Cuddly lionesses would be perfect to regain 5% of energy.

  • Once per rollover she can train a pride member and give a 10% chance for 1-3 stats (only works on a lion once to prevent abuse): this rounds up the one suggested at the beginning, thank you!

  • Once a day can increase a pride member’s mood by 5%: Hmmm... I'd really prefer the critter thing to this, there's already more suggested for a pride member's mood increase.

Suggested Kind Effects:

  • Once per day, she can cut a hunt’s time in half as long as she is in the hunting party: a good alternative to the critter chance, it sounds both desirable and implementable!

  • 10% chance upon daily interaction (Groom/Tussle/Play) to give an amusement item (bone, feather, etc.): I'm seeing it but, maybe, there could be an extra interaction button, to ask the lioness if she found anything interesting? Or maybe have a small chance of bringing trinkets back from her hunts.

  • 10% chance of 5% energy boost from daily interaction: sounds plausible and it fits the lioness personality, I'm not sure which I'd prefer, if this or the "keeping the pride happy" concept and having the effect of diminishing a bit the mood drop per rollover in general.

  • 5% chance of 1% cub training for any adolescents she hunts with (once per day): I imagine it'd be an extra 1%?

  • Once a day can increase a pride member’s mood by 5%: I imagined the Warm lionesses as the ones to console unhappy members, so this would fit too. I don't know which I like more, if this or the "raise the mood of an unhappy member about to leave" effect.

  • Aid in an Explore battle once per day: This one really fits Wary lionesses too, it could be as stated above?

  • Once a day, she can attempt to train a cub that failed cub training (basically give it a second chance): This sounds interesting, I wish they did it! A nice second chance for the cub that was too lazy to train.

  • Once a day, can raise the mood of a lioness whose cubs are chased away by 10%: Why not raise the one with the lower of moods? That way, everyone could find the effect useful any time.

  • 5% chance upon daily interaction of getting a special decor (just for lioness interaction? Something like a 1-use decor called ‘Patient Expression’?): Emotional lionesses... What to do with them? They sound a bit neurotic to me, I'm unable to think of a single positive thing for them to have as an effect. But this one sounds intriguing.

  • 5% chance of 5% energy boost upon daily interaction: I see it. They'd take care of you, make sure you're alright, and then, off you go to explore!

I imagine them to be a bit shy - because they prefer to groom themselves in private and don't want to take much of your time - perhaps they could get the cut in half the hunting cooldown once per day?

  • Once a day can ‘cheer up’ a pride member, raising their mood by 10%: I like either this, or cheer up all the pride an increase their mood by 1-3%.

  • Upon daily interaction, 10% chance of bringing a toy (just don’t ask where she got it): This is hilarous and needs to happen. (Hi honey, how are you? - Shhh! Take this, don't ask, bye.)

  • Only loses 5% mood per day, regardless of king’s personality: I think neutral lionesses aren't affected by our males personality already. She could be the only one to never loose mood if you take a cub from her care? She'd be like, "Meh, whatever".

  • Once a day can raise a pride member’s mood by 10%: Already commented, I think.

  • 5% chance upon daily interaction of raising Impression by 3%: Distant lionesses are... socially-constipated? How about a 5% chance of them bringing you something small - a skull, a feather - to show in their awkward way, their appreciation?

  • 10% chance upon daily interaction to bring you a carcass with 1-3 uses (but it’s not your favorite food!):
    Yes. Please. A 10% chance of them bringing back Dik-Diks xD

  • 5% chance upon daily interaction of giving you a special Personality only decor (1 use decor item called ‘Messy Fur’ maybe?): How about the messy manes 1 and 2, and dirty fur? The same as the one I said above.

Suggested Snarky Effects:
  • 10% chance upon daily interaction that she gains 1-3 stats (from stubbornly practicing): This fits so well the Stubborn personality but, how would it be? Maybe add a new interaction button, to enable all of this? (I'll go over this in detail in the end of the replies)

  • 10% chance upon daily interaction of 3% impression gain (due to impressing the pride by getting her to do something): Hmmm... How about chilling with the Lazy lioness, and gain 5% of energy back?

  • Once a day you can ‘remind’ her to hunt and she can bring back a small carcass (1-3 uses): "Here, a left foot. You're welcome."

  • 10% chance upon daily interaction of her bringing you a critter as a gift: This sounds so sweet, I like it!

  • 5% chance upon daily interaction of getting a special decor (just for lioness interaction? Something like a 1-use decor called ‘Patient Expression’?): Needy and Emotional go hand in hand

  • 5% chance upon daily interaction of getting a special decor (just for lioness interaction? Something like a 1-use decor called ‘Patient Expression’?): I think of the Sassy lionesses as the ones that can lift everyone's mood from the Snarky group...

    I think it fits better the lazy lioness, but I imagine this one could send you to explore with her barbed comments... Hmm... She could aid in explore, too! Send your enemy back home in tears! But then there's the Loud ones... this is getting hard.

  • 5% chance upon daily interaction of raising Impression by 3%: I can see it. Share the fabulous!

    I feel like a Mischievous lioness would be the perfect one to keep the pride's spirits high. How about the increases x% mood of the whole pride as an effect?

  • 10% chance upon daily interaction of bringing you a bone toy (what has she been up to?): It could be a tiny, lion cub's skull - brand new - or maybe a lion's skull with one use left?

  • Once a day can kill a sing lion from the pride for a 10% chance of 1-3 stats: This one would be perfect for a "send to Reserve/Kill" counterparts thing, I think.

Okay! I won’t address every single one since some are just agreeing, but here we go....

Thoughts on Responses

  • Intrepid: for the aiding in battle, I figured it would be like a Lucky Foot, but your king can only call for help once a day. That way people can’t exploit Interpid lionesses to win battles and level too fast.

  • Trusting: I figured she could do an energy raise since her trust would make you feel good, and I had a few personalities already giving SB. However, one more wouldn’t hurt.

  • Joyful: I should have worded better. I was thinking she would raise all Good/Kind Pride members’ Mood by 1% at every rollover (so instead of losing 5, they only lose 4%, etc.) but 3% isn’t bad.

  • Proud: boosting Impression was just her primping you to look good, but maybe a special 1-use decor like the others? Something called ‘Mussed’ maybe? Or one called ‘Proud’? Maybe she rubbed off on you a bit?

  • Prudent: I went with bringing back a carcass since most of the flavor text has to do with food and providing for the pride. I’m not against the Nature Reserve idea, but it didn’t seem to fit Prudent in the flavour texts.

  • Cuddly: I figured Cuddly could comfort a single cub since she’d be nice and cuddly with the babies. Also, I felt like not everything should be about the main male and there were several I suggested for boosting Impression/Energy.

  • Curious: An extra button isn’t a bad idea, but I was going for something that was easier to implement in that it’s random if she finds something and the staff wouldn’t have to add extra stuff based just on personality in terms of modifying the pages too much.

  • Focused: Yes, it would be 1% additional on top of the normal, so instead of 4% they would get 5%, etc. etc.

  • Calm: I’m not against just in general, but I thought she could calm one that’s upset at the loss of their cubs as something a little more unique. Not a bad idea though!

  • Modest: I’m not against them cutting hunting in half, but I couldn’t really think of a way that fit into the text. The boost idea came from her making sure you look ‘presentable’ in terms of modesty.

  • Laidback: I thought that was just in the king was neutral? I could be wrong. It’s been a while since I looked it up. The not losing mood from a chased cub isn’t a bad idea though! Maybe just for one cub? So it’s not too easily exploited?

  • Messy: I wouldn’t be against Messy Mane, but I thought it might be fun to have a Personality only decor or two that’s just a single use, kind of like Carcass and Hyena Lands.

  • Stubborn: I just figured when you groom/tussle/play with her it could be something like ‘You notice she’s been practicing hard and is looking good! (+2 Str/Int/whatever)

  • Lazy: Energy gain is good too, but her text is all about refusing to do anything. So I thought it might be funny to actually get her to get off her tail.

  • Rebellious: Could be both or either! Plotting or just doesn’t care at all what you do!

  • Grumpy: I thought about that, but since there were already a few of those, I figured having her chase a lioness for you would also fit since she’s grouchy at everyone.

  • Mischievous: That could go either way. I see them as being willing to steal from pride mates as a joke so they might annoy them as much as cheer them? I wouldn’t be against them cheering them up with silly jokes though!

  • Sinister: Oh, ‘Cub Skull’ would be interesting! Or a 1-use lion skull too.




Part of my idea is that to get the benefits you have to interact with your pride yourself. So Play-All wouldn't let you get the benefits of the ones that gain from 'Daily Interaction' for example. Just a bonus for those that are more active/deal with their pride. Play-All/Feed-All would still work, of course, but you wouldn't get the Personality Benefits.

While I do support the idea, I'd like to point out that it was more or less indicated that something along these lines is in the works. When personalities were released, we were pretty much told that it wasn't finished yet, and only male personalities had a bigger affect thus far, and eventually more would be done. We haven't had any real updates to personalities since, with the exception of some added event exclusive personalities.
