The staff was merely a family heirloom. Nothing to worry about. Right? Besides, it was none of her business what other students did with their magic vessels. After all, some might even get on her own case for not having a traditionally-crafted wand. While Amaryllis was contemplating the thoughts in her head, she barely noticed her roommate's hand outstretch towards her. She snapped back to reality, registering the effort of friendship. Once again, Amaryllis felt flurries of good feelings flow through her. She took care, however, to not let any flowers bloom around her. Her powers were supposed to be controlled at all times, and kept a secret from most. Her exchange with Rene had been a dangerous gamble. After she'd been abandoned, abandoned, and abandoned again for developing and practicing witchcraft, and then chased out of most towns for having such unusual and dangerous powers, the young earth-witch didn't want to take any chances. After all, she might be the only one in the entire school with chlorokinesis. Even if she wasn't, she knew she was only one of the very few individuals who carried those other burdens around... Amaryllis pushed the thoughts of dread away. If Clair was going to give her a gift, she'd better not be rude. "Thank you so much, Clair! She continued to make the wolf dance around the bear who stood protectively over the rabbit as she rolled over before sitting on the edge of the bed. " Want to hear how I got mine? My magic i mean. " Dakota said, wand flicking from side to side as she continued to play the story of the bear, rabbit, and wolf in front of her. I remember being really angry about something someone said about my elder brother, keep in mind that i was incredibly close to him, anyway, someone said something about him and it pissed me off, like big time, I think it was something about him having to protect me and me being weak and how he deserved someone stronger for a sister or something along those lines, I honestly dont really remember how it really happened only thing i know is that one second we are just yelling at each other and then next second I'm on my back fending off some punches." Dakota stopped here to adjust the picture, the bear was away now, walking around in the corner whilst the wolf attack the rabbit, the rabbit struggling to defend itself as Dakota continued her story, "Eventually i got the underhand, using my legs to push the bastard off of me and coincidentally push him into the wall, I think that should have been the first indicator that something was different, after all i was not that strong as the girl attacking me, she was around 11 so me being able to get her off me should have been at the very least a yellow flag. Anyway she got up and whistled only for 3 of her friends to round the corner, we were behind the school by the way so there were no witnesses,they circled my and by that point my anger was through the roof, and it take a lot to make me angry by the way and even if i do get mad i can typically keep my anger in. So they circled me, whilst i stood in the middle, back tense and fists raised." Again Dakota updated the picture, there were a total of 4 wolves surrounding the rabbit now, whilst the rabbit stood on its hind legs and continued to look around itself, only real difference was that the rabbits image kept changing, flickering every once in a while as Dakota spoke. " After a while of the group taunting me and fake lunges happening the youngest of the group, a girl who was abut 9 years old actually lunged I didn't know how at the time but somehow i was able to know exactly when it happened and was able to sidestep it, i know now it was because of what her body did to the air around it but at the time i thought it was just luck. Anyway after that first lunge it was chaotic, punches were thrown and dodged, hair was pulled and I'm pretty sure i bit one of them during it" Dakota stoped again the picture once again updateing with the original wolves lunging only for the rabbit to dodge and for the rabbits image to continue to flicker before eventually settling on a wolf that was bigger then the original 4 as Dakota continued her story, " The tables turned after i accidentally used the powers i didn't know i had to shove the leader of the group back into the wall of the school and kneed what was sort of like the second in command in the stomach hard enough that she dropped, With only the youngest who obviously had just joined said group and some 10 year old kid she was obviously looking to for guidance on what to do left I was feeling pretty confident and went from defensive to offensive, the youngest who was still older then me mind you was the first to drop out, running off after a kick to her left leg whilst the other one continued to try and fight me until she somehow got onto of me like the leader had, she seemed to be used to fighting though since she was smart enough to actually pin me down rather then attempt to blindly punch me," The picture updated again 2 of the original wolves were on there sides whilst the third had its teeth around what was once the rabbits throat, the lst wolf could be seen running from the scene as Dakota continued, " I remember wishing so hard that i was stronger then i was, that i was so strong that these girls wouldn't have messed with me in the first place and that i could just get this last girl off of me, eventually her weight dispersed and all i could hear was "Hey! T-The hell are you doing? P-Put me down!" I thought that once of the teachers had come but nope, she was floating. I was of course confused and i guess my thoughts and feelings triggered it because as soon as they changed she dropped to the floor. I of course ran away, straight to my house to tell my parents i was going crazy only for them to explain things... Needless to say that was a very long night." Dakota finished as the picture updated to show what Dakota had said, the original wolf being lifted off the rabbit turned wolf , kicking its legs before dropping to the group as the once rabbit wolf ran way to where the bear was only to curl around it as the picture faded away. 0 players like this post! She played with her fingers, "Your story sounds complicated..But sort of,..Fascinating in a way.." she admitted. "More interesting than mine." She pulled her wand from her bag and twirled it in her fingers. She accidentally sent a spark of light towards Dakota.
