Icarus shrugged, thinking back to his own question, which was rather similar but focused on lionesses. "I love all the lions in my pride very much... I love all my wives equally, and all cubs deserve love and care. Though," Icarus glanced behind him, "If I had to choose a favorite lion, I would choose my husband, Tyrion." Though he said the words, they rang hollow in his ears. The two of them fought so much lately, and it felt like their relationship was crumbling apart.

Curious, he murmured, "How do you treat the lowest ranking members of your pride?"

Ỽesuvius leaps up, her maw twisted into a snarl. She was quite snarky, despite her tiny size- even smaller at full-growth even than most adult dwarves. "Lowest Ranking? No one deserves to be low ranking!" She wheels around, pacing as she rants. "Every job is important in the pride, every huntress with claws to feed the clan, every brood-mother with care to watch the cubs, every lorekeep with a story to tell, and each elder to impart wisdom..." She goes on and on for some time, sharply turning back and forth on razor-sharp extended claws. This lion could certainly use some chill! After a little while, she seems to catch herself; she had been speaking for a long time. The tiny queen leads off with a slight cough, and clears her throat.

"Anyway, what do you think about the lionesses that choose to breed with other species?" She muses, and then, flustered, yells- "Not that I think anything bad of it; all of my pridesisters are allowed to choose whatever mate they will!"

Icarus nodded with respect. He fully agreed with her, on both matters, in fact. He didn't think anyone deserved to be 'low ranking' in the pride. Tyrion didn't agree. He shook the thought away, and began to answer her question, thinking back to that adorable little striped cat he kept running across recently, and how one of his lionesses seemed to find him quite amusing, and how he once caught a leopard trying to flirt with one of his (very annoyed) wives. "I don't mind at all!" He purred, turning to the side to reveal a mottled rosette marking. "My mother, Pepper, was a leopon herself. I gladly welcome any hybrids into our pride, and I'm just fine with my lionesses mating with other cats as well."

Tilting his head to think of a question, he asked, "What's something strange you've found while exploring?"

Q'rvarth sat down and scratched his chin. "Strange, you say? Oh, I've seen many strange things around here... But my favorite one was a zebra that was trying to convince everyone it was a unicorn. It had a fake horn made out of paper or something. I couldn't believe it but some animals actually fell for that!" He cringed a little, then took a deep breath and continued. "Anyways, I smiled, walked up to the zebra and told it that I need a proof other than the horn because it could be easily faked. It asked me what I meant and I happily explained that real unicorns have rainbow blood. Then I extended my claws and asked it if I can check something. The zebra screamed in fear and tried to run."
He chuckled, clearly enjoying every bit of his story. Then his expression turned to serious. He huffed and looked away with an extremally exaggerated disappointment written on his face.
"Turned out it wasn't a real unicorn, what a shame."


"Oh, yes, right, the next question. What do you think about cubs with lethal mutations? I, personally, find them quite...cute." He hissed the last word. "What about you? Has any of your lionesses ever given birth to a one? If not, what would you do if that happened? Would you kill the cub to end it's suffering, let it die naturally or immoralize it and keep as a trophy?"

Ashur's tail sways and flicks menacingly as he considers, devilish tip wet with poison.

"none of my lionesses, fertile as they are, have been... 'blessed' with such a mutation, as of yet. as for whether or not to keep it... i believe i would leave the poor thing with someone else to worry about, so long as i got something of equal worth in return. to breed a mutant has some amount of bragging rights, strange as it is, and i.... i do love the shine of gold beetles. the cubs are useless other than to decorate a den. they would not be missed. better for them to exist in a place where they will be loved, yes?"

"what has been your relationship with your pride's last king? my own was a great leader, but also a cruel beast of a lion, unafraid to kill cubs and lionesses alike if their use ran out. he taught me well."

astro narrowed his eyes as he sat down, then in a heartbeat he replied. "the maghreb magpie, for sure!" his tail waved around his paws as one of his ears flicked. "not just because he always has some shiny rocks for me, though." the felis added sarcastically, smiling faintly.

"what do you do with unwanted lionesses and cubs?" he asked, pausing before he continued to speak. "I usually send them to nature reserve so they can live a long, healthy life."

Dichotomy, taking a moment to subdue his impulsive stutter, butted in. "I s-send most of my lionesses to the n-nature reserve". He paused for a moment, then added "Or... just chase them away."

"What do you think of all th-those male cubs at the g-giving tree?" Dichotomy inquired, perhaps as some form of small talk.

Powerstar nervously approaches the new lions, but they seem nice. He responds, "Probably eyeless. There's something really creepy to me about the lack of eyes. Freaks me out. If I got one I wouldn't give it up, though."
He glances around for a moment, before continuing, "What's your favorite mutation? Mine's either Tigon or Foldie. They're sooo cute!"

Theodosia snorted, giving an eye roll as the sassy female trotted up "Foldies are SO ugly! Tigons are decent, but I prefer those wonderful toothless and maneless lions" The pink and white lioness exclaimed. She made a purr at the thought of her heir (who is a maneless). "How about markings? What is your favroite? For me its hard to pick but cherry markings are the bomb!"

"I think inverted brindles are very pretty." Cornelius smiled. "Especially the white one. It's amazing on golden, more natural-looking lions."
He sat in silence for a few seconds, trying to come up with the next question.
"Well" He finally spoke "Since we're already on the topic of markings, do you care about the hybrid-only ones? Mottled rosette and stripes, I mean."
