A lot of people have invested a lot of currency in the scrying stone to see if we were right about combos, and here is the result :D But wait... What are combo bases?When you breed two lions with the right combination of bases, their cubs roll a further, extra chance that can result in a third, new base, a "combo" base. Each combo base has its own requirements, and these bases often ignore the set genetic rules: for example, the Cairngorm combo base (Black Light Solid Special genetics) can be obtained by breeding a Celestial lion (Black Dark Countershaded Special genetics) and a Cocoa lioness (Black Medium Countershaded Rare genetics). Most combo bases can be passed down as long as one parent has it and further requirements are met if there are any, with the exception of Pulsar and Temporal. *Since the 12th October update, cubs that have triggered the original combo bases - Cairngorm, Citrine, Madagascar or Qahir - have a 50% chance of getting their respective mane color, and these can be inherited like any other mane color! Right now there are two different types of combo bases: "standard" combos and "factor" combos. Factor ones can be obtined by breeding any of the bases that make up the combo, but standard ones can be obtained by more than one combination of bases that are assembled into two different groups. The combo can trigger as long as the parents have bases that belong to a different combo group (not to be mistaken by the genetic color group). *Note: While some of the following standard combo tables have been completed, there may be some combinations that remain undiscovered yet. If Qahir, Madagascar, Cairngorm and Citrine base are the start of the (first released combo bases?) first combo pairing results then could one of the possibilities of more combo base pairing be something like Cairngorm x Citrine? (This is just a thought which occurred to me at 1:20am and as I can't go to sleep yet although I'm trying too.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Combo-ception would be really really difficult too since you need 1 combo parent for passing one of the new bases + the base itself.. so it'd technically be a double combo parent and so far it seems like the bases can only be used one way. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Easy to test yeah, but difficult as in I have a hard time imagining it'll work. So far it really seems like there are no bases that can make multiple combos. If a new combo base is one of a combo parent that does make it a double. The whole pool itself would go up one more since it'd be 8+ combo base for it's own and then the combo base + 4 other combo parents for a different one and then that combo base could breed back to the 1 combo base it created to create it again? As far as testing goes you could really easily just check if that new Mad stud a couple posts up + any of the new citrine/cairngorm/Qahir fills either slot? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Easy to breed I mean. Testing is just patience. Or I'm not sure what're you saying... Breeding another combo using a combo base? XD Can't imagine that, maybe it'll get implemented later, sounds cool. Cool as in "super duper hard breeding project" if you start from scratch. What I mean is that it's easy to breed a combo once you have it, you don't have groups, just a big pool of bases and a combo base itself. 0 players like this post!
