For December, how about a daily secret santa/final christmas thing to combine both ideas? So you get a user you are santa to, and you send daily gifts via whichever/whoever keeps it secret. These daily gifts can be small things, but on the last day of the month, do a big gift and a reveal who you are thing? Idk lol

Thanksgiving could be a "Thankful for" thing.

Like being thankful for something that has happened on lioden, whether a gift given or new update on lioden.

Or like that could be the only way to join a raffle, your ticket is saying something you are thankful for on lioden.

Or maybe even an art contest, one person says "Im thankful for... " and its a drawing, and another person has to guess what they are thankful in the drawing and could win something?

Idk if this would work or makes sense at all.

We could do a Christmas Calendar Giveaway for December as well as the Secret Santa, or if it's too much, either one is fine. So every day of the month, someone wins something, and it can range from bundles of large carcass/food/toys to lions to items with rarity ranging from common-rare. We could all pitch in some stuff to the Clan hoard so you may use to redistribute to the giveaway winners?

The scavenger hunt could be something like, there's a list of items once a week or once every three days (common items like kingfisher feathers, large rocks, a dik dik carcass) and you have to go up to other players doing to scavenger hunt and ask them for an item (maybe swapped for an item they need). You have to get all the items from other players but if you're asked for an item, you can use the ones you have in your hoard.

Does that make sense?

Also, as an Irish person (as in born and raised in Ireland), I worry about the idea of a St Patrick's day event lol Could always maybe do something like a "Pot of Gold" where there's raffles everyday for good decor, mutts, applicators, breeding items, and the sb/gb proceeds of all those raffles goes into a grand raffle at the end?

I think types of events we do in months should keep in mind how often the clan events are in the year, on which month they are on, as well as how they should they should be themed.

October, as the original event, is very in depth and has a fun spooky theme as befitting the theme of the October event. Thats fine. However, I am slightly wary of making clan events based on special days to people around specific days of the year if they are not represented in the theme of general lioden events. October - Halloween, December - Xmas, February - Valentines day and April - Easter.
Some users on this thread are suggesting Thanksgiving as a potential clan event, however, Thanksgiving is more American/Canadian specific, and most of the world doesn't follow it. As a Brit, for me Bonfire Night is more relevant for November, and we have a Harvest festival in October (which is slightly similar to Thanksgiving). Similar with St Patrick's day. There are so many dates in the year which are celebrated, but the issue with suggesting specific dates to represent an event is that it values one of these dates over the other. Whilst it would be fine to have themed clan events around the four events mentioned previously (as they have been themed by the admins and are accepted amongst the user base) I would recommend staying away from using religious/geographic celebrations as clan events; instead, maybe just theme the clan event off the main event or have alternate brief storylines (for example, a travelling ostrich trader comes to your territory this month and is looking for items/something).

I would suggest putting clan events in the less 'busy' events: January, March, May, June, August, as well as maybe giving a small contest or game in the other months. Clan events would have some form of interaction between players or more effort from members, whilst the smaller tasks during non event months would be more like the extra contests in the October Clan event.

I disagree that the themes of events need to be very directly connected to the main game event. Just because I think there could be a very loose connection or no connection. Such as like my scavenger hunt suggestion, that could really fit in any month without much issue.

As a non-American, like, I don't know nearly anything about the 4th of July.

I find myself agreeing with Etch and Blue Pigeon, even though I am American. I'd much rather have celebrations that fit Lioden than fit a human calendar, it opens up way more opportunities for fun events and contests and doesn't alienate people right off the bat due to culture clash or religious differences. Plus it makes roleplaying easier if we wanted to do something like the trick or treating again; things like angels and demons are already part of the lore so Halloween is easy, but something like the 4th of July or Easter isn't going to translate nearly as smoothly, as hilarious as lions talking about Thomas Jeffurson or Jesus of Nazpurreth would be. (I'm so sorry, I had to)

I had a couple ideas while writing this, so I figured I'd just add them at the same time ;w;

-- New Beginnings celebration in January, focused around breeding items that help start lion projects or having currency giveaways as fundings for that sort of thing, instead of a specific New Year's celebration. That way it could be for the whole month instead of just one day.

-- A Cub Celebration in the springtime, with contests revolving around dressing up lions in their adorable cub stages and selecting winners with the most Awwwww factor, cub giveaways, and possibly a stud swap, where people can trade free studdings to help bring more adorable bundles of joy into their prides.

-- Late summer or a fall celebration, depending on how often we want to have these happen, of the bounty of nature. Raffles of easier to get items but in Large quantities: hundreds of uses of food, heaps of nesting materials, piles of items to be traded in for decors. Maybe a special raffle where we manage to get a good amount of something rare or rather valuable?

I agree :) Maybe the New Beginnings one can have something to do with helping newbies? Not sure what exactly, but something around that. Or even just at a different time, something focused on helping out new players and heaping on the free shit.

Another event idea. The Hard Mode Clan do this thing called the clan chase. Where at a certain time, they chase loads of lionesses and then use a catnip and go try and claim them in explore. Maybe we could do something like that? It's a lot of fun.
