So I just got like a bunch of messages all at once, and so far everyone seems in favor of doing little events year round! I've gotten a couple of different messages suggesting specific ideas for events, and some suggestions on how they'll work, all of which I'll post below. Event ideas so far: (Some were ideas for holidays we should celebrate, others had ideas on how to do so) November/Thanksgiving December/Christmas- Secret Santa January/New Years February/Valentine's Day- gift exchange March/Saint Patrick's Day April- Something with pranks for April Fools April/Easter- Scavenger Hunt July/4th of July- Maybe just a special raffle? September- 4 teams compete in special games (the storyline next year is based around the 4 horsemen) How they should work: (Ideas just in general on what we should do) Change the clan name Events on every other month so there's downtime between (Small things like raffles could still be held during off months for holidays you guys want to celebrate) Raffles! Art Contests Lion Design Contests Stories to go along with events (Not as complex as the LD Storylines but just like a little premise thing) Gifts for active members (Kinda like the special prizes for the ToT?) Please post ideas you have below, I'll add them up here. Or, feel free to comment/add on to anything listed above, maybe critique some stuff, say which events you feel are most important. Just be polite, we're only debating ideas :) 0 players like this post! Like? Edit Post Edited on 11/11/17 @ 05:33:27 by Qetzel [SFD] #DreamTeam (#36420) |

Secret Santa: Designate 2 or more people to be gift holders. These people can be the admins of the group (multiple so no one over laps the gift somone else recives. The person who orginises the gift can use the LD notes section, nor note pad via mobile or computer to keep track of what goes to who. We discussed a price limit of the item unless said person feels generous.(aka people who play a lot/long time users. A wish list can be made of some basic Items that are not to difficult to obtain. There will aslo be a foum you can fill out that will alow you to answer for example: Will You accept lions?(Here you could ad some simple spacifics, like a hard mode player would put: chased lioness*Would like at least 4 Markings*, there would be a limit to how spacific the gift could be, as the gift would need to be easy for everyone to obtain). The leader and admins can discuss who gets who for secret santa, the way people are selected is who fill out said fourm. The secret santa can be held during the last week of December as people can be busy the closer we get to Christmas. Feel free to change it up those are my ideas though. 0 players like this post! Those all sounds like really good ideas Winter. I think a price limit and wish lists would be a good way to go :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Another way to make the prices thing fair would be to ask, in the entry questionnaire that Winter suggested, what participants could afford and if they're alright with inequality or not. Maybe someone wouldn't care as long as the person who got them gave something that took thought and creativity and was given with a lot of holiday cheer, no matter if it's a newbie or a veteran. Maybe someone would feel guilty if they got showered in presents and couldn't afford to give out a lot. Maybe someone knows ahead of time that they're going to be super generous and want to get paired with a newbie to make their year. That should be taken into account. It'd mean a chunk of extra work with the randomizing of the list, since you'd have to break everything down into categories and equivalents and what have you, but it's my crazy complicated plan, I will absolutely volunteer to sort all that shit out if this plan ends up being selected ;w; 0 players like this post! That seems good to me, and it probably wouldn't take that much extra work to be honest ^_^ 0 players like this post! Like? |
