Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.

⇺ [ Turtlesplash ] ⇻
24 Moons • Female • Former Kittypet
Location: Twoleg Nest Site • Mentions: Patch

Fear washed over Turtlesplash in intense waves as she propelled himself through the forest on tiring legs, the sound of strange shrieks and pursuing pawsteps not far behind. No matter how fast she ran the safety of camp seemed forever out of reach and the tortoiseshell knew she couldn’t keep going like this forever. Her breathing was growing ragged, her lungs burning and ribs aching from her desperate attempt to flee her attacker’s wrath, but there was no escape.

She knew this the moment claws pierced his shoulders and a heavier body forced her to the ground. She twisted in her enemy’s grasp, claws tearing through skin, leaving behind a searing pain and rivulets of blood as Turtleslash struggled to face the cat who had caught her. The feline above her was a blur at first before her vision cleared and it took on the appearance of her own brother. “You don't belong here, kittypet,” he meowed darkly before his teeth plunged into her throat.

Turtlesplash woke with a start, her nest torn to shreds from a night full of endless tossing and turning. It took her a moment to realize it had all just been a horrible dream. The odd wailing had ceased. Wolfsong was gone. She was alive and well, still hidden in her temporary den. She drew in a breath and rolled onto her paws, shaking out her short patched coat to free it of the grass and scraps of moss that clung to it before sliding out from beneath the thorn bush she'd taken shelter beneath the night prior.

Golden eyes scanned the area, alert for any sign of twolegs or their dogs since she was still quite close to their nesting place. Turtlesplash considered her dream as she searched the underbrush for prey, this one had been so different from the others...in her previous dreams, she had been tormented by the sight of her family being torn to shreds by a shadow, unable to do anything to stop it. Such dreams had reawakened long-lost loyalty to her family and motivated her to leave her home in the Twolegplace. One dream she could ignore...but several? She couldn't help feeling Swiftclaw and Wolfsong were in danger.

This newest nightmare was just another reminder she was unlikely to receive a warm reunion. Anger was understandable, but would Wolfsong really be so enraged he would attempt to kill her? Would she be able to defend herself if he attacked her? The thought of fighting kin was abhorrent no matter their differences... She managed to dispatch a scrawny mouse once she refocused her attention on hunting, finishing the measly morsel of in a few quick bites before heading toward the river to quench her thirst.

The sight of a large, wet bundle of fur grooming herself by the shoreline caused Turtlesplash to falter. She hadn't quite expected to encoungter another cat just yet. From the looks of her, she wasn't a Clan cat, certainly not this far from camp. She still proceeded with caution, offering Patch a nod in greeting before lowering her maw to the river's surface a few paces away, her gaze never leaving the stranger as she lapped up a mouthful of water. "What brings you here?" She finally addressed the other she-cat. "You're dangerously close to entering Clan territory. They aren't often kind to uninvited visitors."

Gingerstar | DawnClan Leader | 36 Moons | Mollie | Camp | Blackstar; Flamepaw; Lightsong; Mothpaw; Harepaw

Gingerstar trailed out after Blackstar, her eyes narrowed as the moment faded. She locked her gaze onto Lightsong and Flamepaw, listening silently as Blackstar iterated the plan, watching the look on Flamepaw's face fall. She approached them slowly, dropping onto her haunches and directing her gaze onto Lightsong. "You trained under Mousefur, and though you never learned the true paths of a messenger you have similar instincts. Do your best to teach Flamepaw these instincts, and instruct Harepaw on any tips about our territory that she will need to provide services for both clans. I expect that DuskClan will do the same."

The latter portion of that was a veiled threat at Blackstar and the rest of the DuskClan patrol. If Flamepaw returned without having learned what she needed to about their territory, her patience with the dirty blooded clan would wear thinner than it already was. She flicked her tail and rose back up, turning back towards the den. She would let them do what they needed to do.
If you ask too many questions, or seek too much approval, nothing ever gets done

Weaselflight | DuskClan Warrior | 21 Moons | Tom | The Traps | Sootpaw; Owlfeather; Redeye; Vulturepaw; Dustpelt; Wolfstorm

Weaselflight nodded at Dustpelt when he said that he needed to be off of the injured foot. At Dustpelt's comment, he rolled back onto his stomach and then stood weakly, making sure that he didn't bump the infected digit on anything. He patiently flicked his tail, smiling over at Vulturepaw. "D-d-don't look so scared," he commented mildly, "Your mentor is a force to be reckoned with, and the cavern... well. Myths don't always come true."

He was trying to be optimistic- not really his strong suit but he was taking what Redeye had asked him to do to heart. He was still a little bit [ok, a lot] intimidated by the haunting albino tom, but he liked him. Even if he was shaking slightly at just the prospect of talking with him.
Better safe than sorry

---

Event For: Umbraclaw, Larkclaw, Foxpaw, Owlfeather, Redeye, Sootpaw

Owlfeather's voice rang out loud and true, and it was several long seconds of silence before there was a movement in the brush. With a warning growl, the serval slipped slowly out of her hiding spot, coat rippling and showing the muscles below her short coat. It was obvious how shrunken the back leg was now that she was closer to them and in the light. She bared her teeth in Redeye's direction, her body still low to the ground, a posture ready to run at any second.

"Shadow. Brother... in trap?" her voice was obviously very confused and unhappy at this prospect though she did not really understand what they meant, "Twoleg took Shadow?"

She was beginning to look very agitated, her gaze darting back and forth quickly as she looked around frantically, before turning back towards Redeye and his patrol. She gave a warning shriek. "What you done to Shadow?" she cried out, her voice now tinged with anger, "Where is Shadow?" She was repeating her brother's shorter name like a prayer, it was obviously a word she knew very well, unlike the rest of her language, which was still thickly accented and lilting, offset in the rhythm. Her vocal cords were not built to speak this little cat tongue. Her claws unsheathed, and she repeated her question, this time with more force.

"Where is SHADOW?"

[Really short posts but I wanted to crank something out]

Umbraclaw|Deputy of Dawnclan|Black Mollie|Location: Dawnclan Forest|Mentions: Foxpaw, Larkclaw, Duskclan patrol (Ind) Gingerstar

Umbraclaw would nod at Redeye's words before giving a scathing look at Owlfeather. The white tom's words had some logic to them she would have to admit. Had they been the ones to find the creature, then doubtlessly they would have sought to investigate as well. Regardless attacking them right now was beyond foolish with the unpredictable factor that the serval presented. Ultimately the sanest course of action would be to just get the whole lot of them out of here and quickly report back to Gingerstar.

It was at that moment that the female serval came out of hiding and started trying to talk the Duskclan due to Owlfeather's words. Recognizing that the creature was having trouble with their language, she decided to dumb down her next words. "Small cats there know where shadow. Go with small cats."

While it was a decision that would hopefully get the four of them out of Dawnclan territory, she still didn't like it. There was a risk that the serval might side with the Duskclan, but there really wasn't anything she could do about that. Attacking the Duskclan now was a terrible idea and a suicidal one if the serval decided to come to the Duskclan's aid. However Dawnclan really had nothing to offer the serval and trying to trick her would almost certainly come back to bite them in the tail.

Ravenblaze | Dawnclan Former Medicine Cat | 25 Moons | White Green-Eyed Tom | Dawnclan Forest | Open

Ravenblaze shakily put one paw in front of the other, his ears twitching at every single sound made in the forest. He took a heavy breath and set his pace a little quicker, eager to get back to the safety of camp. He heard a couple of noises, though was unable to place them properly. Taking a deep breath to try to calm himself, he started trotting towards the camp. He had no clue what had happened since he left that one morning, only a few memories of the trap, twolegs and dogs. He just wanted to get back and have something to help his raised anxiety. He tried to think of the herb that would help, but instead got a slight sting in his forehead, unable to even come up with the general shape of it. Shaking his head, he concluded that it was unimportant, Hornetpaw could help.

Camp came into view, and he burst in, his fur spiked as he detected all the scents of Duskclan. He paused at the camp entrance, staring at the Duskclan cats in camp. He could not understand why the cats were there, it was clearly not an invasion, as Gingerstar was chatting with Blackstar, so what was going on? He slowly shrunk back to hide himself a little in the bush, wanting to avoid that many cats for now.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory, White & Cream Female | Location: DawnClan Camp -> Leaving | Mentions: Mothpaw, Flamepaw, Blackstar [Direct]

Harepaw’s neutral mews of curiosity were cut off by Blackstar emerging from the den, calling both apprentices to him. She followed his order instantly, relieved to be near the leader once more. Especially since two cats had taken to trying to melt her with their eyes. She greeted him with a soft purr, though the friendly sound dropped short. Lightsong? She flicked her tail and looked back, giving Flamepaw a smile. She’d worry about who that is on the walk. She nods and moves to stand near him, leaning forward to peer into the burrow Mothpaw disappeared into. “You think they poisoned him?”

She didn’t really believe the DawnClan medicine cat would do such a thing, simply sticking near Blackstar until it was time to leave. She bounced forward excitedly, happy to get moving from the enemy’s camp. “About time, I was starting to think we’d die here.” She casts a look towards the DawnClan messengers with expectant eyes, her thoughts bouncing towards their knowledge of the paths. She’d have to pay attention. Maybe this was a ploy to stage an attack? It’s not like she was actually a messenger. Adderflight was the messenger, and though he had been gone for awhile, she doubted anything could catch the fast feline. Despite this, she began to focus in on her surroundings, hoping to do a good job in… whatever she was supposed to be doing.

⌘{ Patch }⌘
:: Female :: Rogue :: 35 Moons ::
:: Location: Two Leg Nest Site (South West Near Cavern?) ::

The soft sound of sand shifting under the weight of pawsteps had Patch glancing up to see a calico, quite a bit smaller than herself, approaching the riverside. The female's pale yellow gaze was cautious as she moved to take a drink, her short pelt rippling over a well-muscled body. She was a well-kept creature though a few scars marred her face and ears...a clan cat or a pet? Certainly not a rogue such as herself...though Patch did her best to keep herself clean there wasn't really anything she could do about the tangled fur along her spine where she couldn't reach. She also couldn't rid herself of fleas. It was clear this stranger didn't have such a problem.

Patch was just about to address the female when the stranger herself spoke a question woven through her words. Tilting her head, the female blinked her whiskers twitching before she answered, "I've traveled here specifically to try and communicate with one of these clans. I hope to convince them to let me join. What of you? You speak as if you are not a part of these clans yet you yourself tread near their borders."

⇺ [ Turtlesplash ] ⇻
24 Moons • Female • Former Kittypet
Location: Twoleg Nest Site • Mentions: Patch

It wasn't a surprise to hear this stranger had come here seeking out the Clans. Every now and then some brave soul would venture into DawnClan territory hoping to join them and, more often than not, they were chased out with a few new scars and tufts of fur missing. It was the way things were in DawnClan. Purity above all else. Remembering her old Clan's traditions brought a distasteful sneer to her muzzle, the distance in her eyes perhaps clueing Patch into the fact this expression was not aimed at her. "You'll be looking for DuskClan then. They aren't beyond taking in strangers."

When the question was turned on her she regarded the other she-cat thoughtfully, wondering how much she should share. She found it doubtful they would meet again after parting ways, and in the end concluded that being honest was unlikely to prove detrimental. "I was born in DawnClan. I left for a time to pursue a...different lifestyle, but today I'm returning home," she replied lightly. "I feel you should know Clan life isn't for the faint of heart. You will have many struggles ahead of you even if they accept you. These are troubling times. It's not too late for you to go back."

-------------------------

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons • Male • DuskClan • Warrior
Location: DawnClan Territory • Mentions: Owlfeather, Sootpaw, DawnClan Patrol, Serval

Redeye could feel his patience wearing thin, and the question he'd been wanting to ask since he learned of these 'servals' demanding to be released. Like Umbraclaw, he chose to simplify his speech as he stepped closer to the strange female, ignoring any cautionary words or gestures Owlfeather might have offered. "Will tell where Shadow is, but first you answer this. You kill cats? You kill cat at rocks by river?" He asked, eyes burning into hers intensely despite his struggles to remain calm.

He wanted an honest answer from the serval, and he knew he was unlikely to get that if he couldn't keep his temper in check, but he was certain he already knew the answer. He forced his fur to smooth, but his claws remained unsheathed and his body tense. "Honesty important. Help you if you tell truth." Time seemed to slow down as he waited for a response, memories of Cherrysong rushing through his mind. It made his heart ache and his eyes sting, but his gaze remained harsh as he stared up at her. Redeye couldn't fake sincerity or kindness.

Event For: Umbraclaw, Larkclaw, Foxpaw, Owlfeather, Redeye, Sootpaw

The tall serval turned back towards the DawnClan cats, her raised fur flattening slightly at Umbraclaw's words. It was obvious that she relaxed slightly at the notion that her brother was located and they would take her to him. But at Redeye's chilling question, she turned back, pupils shrunken into slits. Her face pinched up into an unreadable expression, perhaps one of confusion, guilt, anger, or fear. Her fur began rising again, and she gave a keening noise, a little bit like a wordless noise of grief or mourning, the sound that many felines make when verbally crying for a loss. She contorted into a weird crouched position, her body curling in on itself, and she was frozen like that for several seconds.

Without another noise she snapped her head back up, locking gazes with Redeye and his haunting scarlet orbs. Her own rich honey amber eyes were almost all color, the black slits running through their center almost invisible. There was half a second of eye contact and she turned, beginning to run away from them as quickly as she could. Her entire body seemed to be shaking with something her words could not communicate, and she did not make a noise as she moved, her hobbling sprint still relatively quick in comparison to the cats but not so fast they could not catch up if they reacted quickly. She was moving south rapidly, ducking under underbrush and branches, weaving through the trunks, but she was obviously not accustomed to the terrain, and in certain areas where the undergrowth was thick she was caught up and slowed by the plant life. She was no longer being careful or trying to be stealthy.

Cloudburst || 26 moons || Female || Dawnclan Warrior/Queen (5 weeks) || Long white fur with dilute tabby calico marks || polydactyl || Location{Dawnclan camp} || Mentions {directly-} {indirectly-Harepaw, Mothpaw, Hornetpaw, Darkstar, Gingerstar, Flamepaw, Mousefur}

"You're right." she said coldly, "For all we know they could be using them to gather information, I wouldn't put it behind that rat to use an apprentice as a weapon." she practically growled as Darkstar and Gingerstar finished speaking. Her claws tingled with the desire to claw out the opposing leaders remaining eye, but she held back. There was fire in her eyes when she heard that Flamepaw would be leaving with the patrol, albeit with Lightsong by her side, but that was two against three- not a smart move in her opinion.
"I can't believe it." she laughed, "First she sends me away from mousefur's side in my time of mourning, and now she trusts those kittypets with our own, what has gotten into her?" She didn't bother to keep her voice low, She was visibly upset and had been for the past four days with their leader. The ginger feline had been building a case against herself the way Cloudburst saw it, and her horomone ridden mind wasn't helping. Cloudburst was beginning to feel that Gingerstar was getting weak. She took another bite from her meal, her pelt hot with anger, she tried to calm herself. Being cooped up in camp with a leader she wasn't too happy with recently was not going over too well, she needed to leave- go on a quick stroll as soon as possible.

Vulturepaw || 10moons || Male || Duskclan apprentice {Mentor Redeye} || short dark brown/black tom with yellow eyes || deformed throat/trachea || Location {Duskclan Camp} || Mentions {directly-Dustpelt, Weaselflight, Wolfstorm } {indirectly-Redeye, Sootpaw, Owlfeather}

Vulturepaw was stopped in his tracks by Dustpelt and wolfstorm, he jumped back a bit in fright, bumping into Weaselflight as he took a step back to regain his composure. He barely sounded off with a "sorry" before stepping to the side and letting Weaselflight take control of the situation. The toms words were meant to make him feel better but the apprentice just felt like he had been stretched thin, the lack of good sleep, food, and overall worry was really getting to the 'paw. Cats were disappearing, showing up dead, strangers were running about in their territory, it was all just eating away at him and the increase in stress from the past couple days was just going to continue eating away at him. If it kept up like this, he was going to just shut down completely, both mentally and physically. Maybe I'm just not cut out for clan life. the thought had forced it's way into his brain for the first time in his life. He looked to the group of cats around him, and without a word just hung his head and pushed passed, ashamed the thought had even come up. He was sure the disappointment they would feel would be unbearable had they been able to read his mind. As he slipped into the apprentice den, he felt the pressure of tears in his eyes, and let them stream down his face as he curled up in his stale, cold nest. Vulturepaw desparatly needed a break.

Gingerstar | DawnClan Leader | 36 Moons | Mollie | Camp | Blackstar; Flamepaw; Lightsong; Mothpaw; Harepaw; Cloudburst; Ashcreek

Gingerstar's ear flicked towards Cloudburst in irritation, and her eyes narrowed further. She whipped sharply around, the fur along her spine raising. She stalked towards the queen and pressed herself very close, her voice low and threatening, a near growl. "Disrespect me," she rumbled, "in front of the opposing clan again, and I do not care how pregnant you are, you will regret every foolish decision you've ever made. Watch your tongue, know your place. Carrying the kits of the former messenger places you no higher than any other warrior."

Gingerstar raised back up from speaking so dispassionately to Cloudburst and took a step towards Ashcreek. Her tail lashed. "You would do well to heed the same warning," she stepped back to glower at them both, "smart as you both may believe you are, the intricacies of being a leader far outrank your tiny minds, which you have proven outright today. You have a problem with me, you bring it to me. Alone. In my den. Until the pair of you can learn to hold your tongues, I expect not to hear another word from either of you. Remove yourselves from my sight."

She turned back to the DuskClan envoy. "You should be leaving." Her voice was ice cold, what tiny bit of peace she had earned with Blackstar in the den over the tumultuous times had vanished and her patience for entertaining the opposing clan's cats was wearing dangerously thin. Lightsong and Flamepaw could handle themselves, a warrior and nearly fully trained apprentice were far more than a match for one still reeking of the nursery, a medicine cat kitten, and an old leader with one eye, at least in her point of view.
If you ask too many questions, or seek too much approval, nothing ever gets done

Weaselflight | DuskClan Warrior | 21 Moons | Tom | Camp | Sootpaw; Owlfeather; Redeye; Vulturepaw; Dustpelt; Wolfstorm

Weaselflight's yellow-green gaze followed Vulturepaw as the short little tom headed back into camp listlessly. His eyebrows pinched in concern, and he glanced at Dustpelt sadly. He was... probably not the best cat to be dealing with this. He put his head down and made his way back to camp after Redeye's apprentice, heart heavy. He was now almost as emotionally exhausted as he was physically. When he made it back into the camp, he watched Vulturepaw's tail flick as it disappeared into the apprentice's den. His face twisted with worry, and he bumped his head gently against Dustpelt's shoulder. "I-I-I'm gonna g-g-go check o-on him."

He hobbled towards the apprentice's den and gently poked his head through the entrance, heart tugging when he caught sight of the miserable tom sniffling in his nest. He had no words to help the situation, but all he could think about was how much it helped him when someone Dustpelt just came to sit right next to him. The physical closeness made him feel... not so alone, and he hoped that it helped the other party Dustpelt out as well. He slipped in without a word.

The rusty colored tom came over and cautiously slipped down into Vulturepaw's nest next to him, pressing his side against the other, darker cat, and extending his hurt paw so that it was as far away from them as possible. He leaned into Vulturepaw and sighed, resting his head onto his paws, curling his tail so that it was wrapped around Vulturepaw, almost like he was hugging him. He remained silent, not wanting to disturb Vulturepaw or push him to talk if he didn't want to. Forcing speech was not helpful to the mind, in his opinion, though talking was beneficial when a cat was ready.
Better safe than sorry

| Wolfstorm | 38 Moons | Female | Duskclan Warrior |
Location: Duskclan territory
Mentions: Dustpelt, Weaselflight, Vulturepaw

Wolfstorm listened as the two spoke, her worry growing by the moment. It was clear that Weaselflight was injured, and it seemed bad, and Vulturepaw's mood was concerning. She looked over at Dustpelt, ears low. "They'll need to eat something, I'm going to give them that squirrel I caught earlier and this mouse." She bent down to pick up the mouse by her paws, then headed back into camp.

Once she'd gotten the prey from the fresh kill pile, she nosed her way into the apprentice's den, dropping the prey in order to speak. "Vulturepaw? Weaselflight?" The words were soft-spoken, unusual for the she-cat. As her eyes adjusted, she saw the two cats curled up. She picked up the squirrel and mouse, then padded over, dropping the prey in front of them. "If you eat, you'll feel a bit better." She sat down, watching the pair. "Besides, it wouldn't be good for us all to have a warrior and a strong apprentice going hungry." She laid down, curling her paws up under her so that she could really face Vulturepaw. "I know things haven't been all that great lately, and if you ever want to talk, I'm a pretty decent listener. Have your meal and a good rest, though. It'll help."

Ashcreek | Warrior of DawnClan | Tall Grey and Orange Tom with 2 extra toes | Location: DawnClan Camp | Mentions: Cloudburst | Indirect:
Ashcreek watched the leader send the apprentice and warrior out with the group of Duskclan warriors. He blinked calmly, fur only slightly ruffled from the ginger mollies scolding. He took a deep breath and let his tail make whooshing noises in the grass. He slowly stood up and nudged the pregnant cat to her feet. "C'mon. You need a walk." he said and set a tail gently on her back. "You need to calm down. Even though I don't believe in what our leader is doing, I am sure there is a good reason. And I trust her." he said.

Larkclaw || 15 Moons || Female || DawnClan Warrior
Location: DawnClan Territory || Mentions: Redeye, Serval, DawnClan Patrol, DuskClan Patrol

Part of Larkclaw wanted to give the DuskClan patrol a good cuff around all of their ears. The shrill tone in the serval’s voice clearly indicated how much her brother meant to her, but since they hadn’t offered the right information, in her opinion, it caused this wild cat to become agitated. Definitely not a safe thing for either Clan.

Thankfully Umbraclaw was able to get the serval to understand, or at least it seemed like she did. For some reason, she felt she needed to give the deputy a respectful nod for that. Unfortunately, the smoothed pelts didn’t last long as the albino tom from the enemy patrol stepped forward and, of all things, accused the serval of murdering their clanmates. Had he ever heard of tact before?

As the wild cat disappeared into the underbrush again, she shot a glare at Redeye. “Do you ever think before you speak?” she snapped before sprinting past all of them to go after the serval. She knew it was dangerous, that this could provoke the serval into attacking her, but the way she had practically folded in on herself and the sound she had made seemed almost… regretful. She had already told them that small cats had hurt her leg, it was possible the warriors that found her had tried to attack…

If it wasn’t for living in this area for moons and the fact the poor thing had stopped trying to hide at all, she would have fallen behind ages ago. Even with only three legs, this serval was fast. Larkclaw finally caught a good glimpse of her again and decided to try speaking. “Wait! Please! Won’t hurt. Won’t attack. Want to talk. Not like white cat.” She had no idea if that would get any response, but she did notice they were getting ominously closer to the cave of DawnClan legend.

Blackstar|Leader of Duskclan|One eyed Black Tom|Location: Dawnclan Camp|Mentions: Gingerstar, Harepaw, Mothpaw
As Gingerstar hissed at her clan members, Blackstar couldn't help but twitch an ear in mild amusement. While he hated to admit it, they were more alike than the Dawnclan cats thought. When she rounde don him with her cold glare however, he did not let this thought show but instead nodded. He wasn't about to point out to her he was waiting on the Dawnclan cats to start moving.
"We'll send word if anything comes up." He mewed civilly, before slipping out of the camp with a last flick of his tail.
When they were back into the light forest, he beckoned Harepaw closer. Though it was clear the leader was still tense about being so deep into Dawnclan territory, there was a sparkle in his eye.
"Pay close attention, Harepaw. What may make going through Dawnclan terrrain fast may be different than Duskclan." His voice was quiet, not necessarily to stop the other two messenger cats from hearing, but almost as a calming gesture, his low tones gentle while still being encouraging. He spared a glance at Mothpaw, curious what the medicine-cats had spoken about before he nodded at Lightsong, to let the warrior lead the way.
The way trhough the forest was different than the way they had originally taken, skirting some of the larger fallen trees and rocks while also finding several narrow pathways through foliage that they had to travel one at a time. It would be bad for staging an ambush, but it was good for a cat to move swiftly. Once or twice there was the sound of two-legs from a distance, but it seemed more akin to the usual Green-leaf sounds than the ones that had come deeper into the forest.
As they neared the border, Blackstar felt himself slow as they drew close to where the patrols had met originally that morning, just along the top of the Dawnclan lake. Blackstar let himself fall into step beside Harepaw once again, giving the she-cat a look that said, lets see what you think. He did not leave her to lead on her own however, but merely fell into a pace just behind her shoulder, so that his fur could brush hers and make adjustments if needed, as well as offering a sense of strength to the smaller cat, his presence seeming far bolder now they were in more familiar terrain.

Dustpelt|Warrior of Duskclan|Leggy Calico Tom|Location: Duskclan Territory|Mentions: Weaelflight, Vulturepaw, Wolfstorm

At Wolfstorms voice, Dustpelt nodded gratefully, trying to joke but a faint edge tinging the usually jovial tones.
"I guess you win that contest." He mewed, as they made to follow the paths back to the camp. As they did so, he watched Vulturepaw slip into the apprentice den without a word, Weaselflight sitting at the opening looking, well like Weaselflight. Dustpelt offered his friend what small comfort he could, his pelt pressing against the smaller toms without words for a change, the history between the toms enough that he did not need to speak to offer reassurance and strength as he passed. After a moment, he watched Weaselflight stir, and move into the apprentice den. Making a mental note to get Mothpaw first thing when the medicine-cat apprentice returned, he padded towards the center of the camp, the whole place containing a tension as the rest of the clan awaited the news from the patrols, and the meeting with Gingerstar.
Dustpelts ears pricked as Wolfstorm spoke to him in a low voice, having been so lost in thought he hadn't heard her return with the prey. At her suggestion, he nodded. Perhaps food would make the small apprentice cheer up, and every warrior needed what strength they could get from the fresh kill. He watched as she padded to the den, about to join her but stopping. There was no sense in crowding the cats, not so soon after such a tense morning.

Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Clan Borders|Mentions: Redeye, Owlfeather, Sootpaw, Umbraclaw, Larkclaw

Foxpaw hissed slightly at the white tom had the audacity to ignore them, but did not move as several cats spoke, Umbraclaw to the stranger, the stranger, the white tom. Everyone was seemingly unsure of what to do, and then after a pause, the stranger turned and ran. In a heartbeat, Foxpaw watched as Larkclaw swiveled on her paws and , after a yowl to Duskclan, chased after the odd creature. Her claws flexed on the stone she stood. The tingling in her pelt was almost unbearable, and it was clear the last strands of her resolve were fading as she watched the situation dissolve around them all.
"Mousebrains!" she yowled at the Duskclan cats, her muscles tensing as she lowered into a crouch, readying herself to spring at the offending patrol.
"Get off our territory!"
With that, she couldn't resist, she threw herself from the stone and towards the youngest of the Duskclan patrol. It was their job to protect their borders. She didn't care why they had come, Larkclaw was chasing the stranger out as far as she was concerned, so she wanted to do what she knew, and that was fight. With her eyes on the tall warrior so she could dart out of his way if he interfered, she made to slam full force into the apprentice. While it wasn't a powerful move from her, it wasn't what cats expected and the decline had given her a small boost in speed and power as her paws lashed out to grab at the tom, regardless if she knocked him off his paws or not.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Dawnclan territory|Mention(s) Directly: Redeye, Sootpaw, Umbraclaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Larkclaw, Flamepaw

Owlfeather looked to Redeye, as the tom spoke. It was a well enough question, had she been the one to kill the cats. Still, it was a bit tactless to just ask out right. Not really knowing what the servals answer to be, the deputy was definitely not expecting her to just run off. She was quite astounded and stood there for a few heartbeats, looking after the larger cat. Only when the Dawnclan she-cat called to them, did Owlfeather snap out of it. Looking over, her claws dug into the ground, as the same Dawnclan she-cat raced after the serval.
The deputy quickly turned to Redeye, "After her, I want to know what's going on here", the deputy briefly ordered the tom in an assertive voice. As the deputy turned back, her eyes grew wide at seeing the ginger apprentice jump forward and aim for Sootpaw. Confidant that the grey tom could handle, the seemingly younger apprentice on his own, Owlfeather turned to face Umbraclaw. Her body was braced for an attack and her claws where unsheathed, if the Dawnclan deputy would attack as well, that could be a quite interesting battle. Still, she might be a bit slower then normal. Owlfeather let out a hiss, as this thought came to her mind.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Dawnclan camp - Duskclan territory|Mention(s) Directly: Lightsong, Harepaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Gingerstar, Blackstar, Mothpaw

The ginger tabby apprentice looked up, from her paws, as her leader came up to her and Lightsong. Flamepaw looked over to her brother, as Gingerstar spoke with him. Would her brother really become her mentor now? Trying to hide the scoule coming to her face at the thought, Flamepaw started to clean her chest fur. At the mention that they would be taking the Duskclan cats back though, the young she-cat looked back up again. Flamepaw quickly jumped to her paws, the she-cat had seated herself down to wash herself. Lightsong was going to show her the secret messenger paths through the forest? They were also going to head through Duskclan territory, this was getting really exciting.
Her head went to Blackstar, as the Duskclan cats came over to join them. Before she knew it, Gingerstar had left them to head back to her den. Flamepaw felt a bit anctus now, with only the Duskclan cats so close. The ginger apprentice subconsciously moved a bit closer to her brothers side, she was still a bit scared of Blackstar. As they headed out, the she-cat tried to walk beside Mothpaw, maybe they could talk now. No, it seemed that Mothpaw was on his own planet, as they headed out. Soon Lightsong had called the apprentice, to walk beside him as well. Before joining Lightsong at the front of the group, Flampaw indicated for Harepaw to join her. Both apprentices needed to learn the way after all.
As they walked, Flamepaw looked around, so that she could remember the way. The she-cat had gone running through most of Dawnclans territory, so part of the way Flamepaw already knew. Reaching a large oak tree, Flamepaw smiled. "I know where to go", she called out, feeling as happy as a kit again. Racing past her brother, Flamepaw bounced off the large tree, as she used it to change her direction. Racing through a small gordge, a dried river bed, Flamepaw was the first to reach the lake. Skipping to a halt, she looked back, as the others came up behind her. Looking to the Duskclan territory, as slight shiver went through her. They were actually going to head into the other clans territory, invited this time.
The ginger she-cat waited for Harepaw and Blackstar to walk past her, then fell into step beside her brother. Her blue eyes scanned the unfermillier territory, as they crossed the border and started to walk through it. This part of the forest seemed both, familiar and new. The trees were very much the same, as in Dawnclan's territory, just that they seemed to be a bit more spread out. This soon changed though, suddenly the leaf trees gave way to one's bearing needles and the ground became harder and less forgiving. How could anyone run on this? She wondered to herself. As they continued to walk, she tried to remember the way that they were going, so that one day she could run it herself. How did Duskclan's camp look? She wondered to herself. Her mind wandering a bit, which only gave her a smack on the head from her brother, as Lightsong noticed it.
