 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Amabala studied the king for a moment, noticing the silver hairs of age that were beginning to appear on his muzzle. He looked tired, and a bit stressed perhaps, but still strong, a lion you wouldn’t want as your enemy. Thank Apedemak he was an ally to her pride instead. “Of course you can take her,” she said, giving the cub a quick lick on the head. As she watched the pair walk out of the den, she recalled the story Makaa had told her, of a horrifying creature bearing the scent of this king. She shuddered at the thought of living with such a beast, and wondered what the rest of his pridemates must be like. The male lion sighed a soft thank you, his muscle twitching beneath his skin as he could feel the quick movement of the female. The twitch almost made you wonder how war-worn he was, looking as if he almost just barely caught his lash of defensiveness. He pulled another forced smile, the cold, bitter look in his eyes not melting as he turned away from them. As the two walked, one thought plagued his mind, his own son had walked here recently. Not even the puddles beside him were dry as he thought about it. What they'd think of him if they knew why Killer Queen was the way he was. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sekhmet is quiet as she trots in, eyes darting around, shes not unfamiliar with these sorts of thing, but she’s not comfortable around large crowds of lions. Not after what she’s done to gain a good word with the celestial lions. The queen waits, watching the interactions, surveying the Cubs quietly before finally approaching one of the lions she presumed was running the little center. She’s careful with her steps, looking terrified of hurting something, she hadn’t had Cubs in her pride in a long time. “Ah- yes- hello-“ She chirps to the lioness, attempting to get her attention. She’d call her by name if she could, she could only assume based on what she’d been told that the lioness in front of her was Hajiam. The divine queen freezes as the lion turns. “I- I’m interested in a cub-“ she squeaks. “I would like to.. have some help.. um...” she glances at her, then back at the cub “I believe they called her Beauty?” 0 players like this post! Hajiam's bubbly eyes turned to make her acquaintance, the gentlest of purrs coming out of her. Her tail flicked upwards in a sort of greeting as she hummed happily. Her sparkly coat twinkled as she walked the cub up to her. She smiled, and a small, gentle voice came out of her 'lips', "Why of course you may!" She replied, her tail curling up over her back as she gently pushed the back of the squeaking cub to encourage them to move. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(I may state this here: I take cubs as well! I always will, n especially if Blue is feeling a little bit heavy on her adoptable cubs, you can always ship them over to me and I'll pop them into Saitaku for adoption :D! Sending one of the younger lionesses may not have been a good idea, but Arserian was busy, so Diabuli it was. She wasn't a kind Lioness- she kept a mouse against her will as a pet and tends to injure cubs when she feels like it. Rolling her gaze over the cubs in the den, Diabuli's eyes catch on an orange-spotted female, calmly watching over the other cubs. Stomping over to her- acting like a human teenager- she thumps down beside the startled adolescent. She waits a few beats before she loudly asks, "So, you wanna join the rebellion?" "Wha-what?" the smaller feline questions, confused. Rolling her eyes, Diabuli tilts her head, causing her mouse to fall off. Scared of any consequences, the Fawn Dutch quickly scurries back up onto her, slightly shaking from the fall. Concerned, the orange adolescent gazes at the mouse resting on the mean lionesses' head. "Anyways," Diabuli continues. "I want you in my Pride." She states, then grabs her, not once asking for her name, and drags her towards the opening of the cave. 0 players like this post! Over the hills, the strange figure of the monstrous beast followed down the path once again. Only this time his jaws were already dangling open, a familiar figure bouncing by his side with a scarf bound around her neck. They followed right past the brood mothers, and what they could see was the small figure of Pebble following the large beast around. Almost as if she were bound to him, she made sure to circle him once or twice to almost let him know that reality wasn't collapsing around him. Or something like that, who really knows why she was doing it? She's still a cub after all, but it didn't mean she wouldn't speak for the beast, that she wouldn't die for him. As he approached Astro and Demon, he looked over them with his dead, cold eyes. Despite their namesake, Demon shied away behind Astro, the young male trying to find himself a sturdy perch to act tough. Though when a lion-like creature dripping it's own blood from it's mouth comes towards you, it's not the easiest thing to stay so tough. "...Them," The monster rumbled, Pebble perking up as she ran over. "Please!" She added, smiling at Killer Queen, who stood awkwardly on his overgrown clawed paws. 0 players like this post! Like? |
