 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Cula considered the question for a moment before answering. “Things have been going fairly well lately, I suppose,” she said. “Amabala’s getting a bit old though, we’ll need to find her a replacement soon,” she added. The broodmother in question overheard, and padded over to give Cula a light swipe with a paw. “I’m not that old yet,” Amabala growled, “and I’m certainly not deaf.” Her eyes, however, showed a flicker of amusement. 0 players like this post! Over in the distance, a small figure began to hop over. No king, not that of the son, but someone entirely new. While they looked like that of a primal lion, their bob tail high up in the air as they went up straight to Amabala without even looking at the cubs. As if he already knew what he wanted, as though he already had been here? They stared at her with an innocence, though tall for a lion - wasn't everyone in Karstaag's pride? (Seems like Romeo can't keep his lions an average damn sise..) "Hello! Boss said I need to get a cub named.." The innocent gray eyes looked up at the clouds for a moment, suddenly a nervous feeling tightened in his chest, then a little jolt through his body as he looked back, "Pigeon!" He smiled, his ears perked forward as he looked confident again. It was rather sure to assume he didn't even know the cub, just followed.."Boss"'s orders..how strange. Amabala smiled at the newcomer. Although she had never seen him before, she recognized the scent as that of Karstaag’s pride. “Sure, you can take her,” she said. As the two of them walked away, she considered his words. It was odd that he was sent not to choose a cub, but to pick up a specific one that he clearly didn’t even know. As the strange little lion was walking off with Pigeon, suddenly he stood up straight with his ears perked like he heard something. Though nothing was around, the little male suddenly jolted off after a rock and put it up to his ear. Though you could hear soft whispers of words being transferred, most of it just looked ungodly strange. Especially to the cub who was staring at him like he lost his mind. Eventually, he put down the rock and darted off towards the pridelands again. Uh..what? 0 players like this post! Like? |

A cub scampered up to harpy wings before the queen could continue. ``Oh! Whats your name Darling.`` she purred to Raspberry. It was odd talking to two lions at once, but it was nice. A large gorgeous ferus king walked in with an adolescent bouncing around at his side, "Fable, Choose whom you'd like." The king purred softly, the female looked around, before seeing a cub (sage), "Hello! Would you like to join our pride?" However the Ferus then saw another cub that caught his eye, a cute little cub that was dubbed 'Dusk' "Hello!"
