 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

The lioness smiled at the other's kindness, finding a purr rumble out of her throat. " Good evening to you too, I was told to look for a lion named Hermes. Is he by any chance here? "Oh, yes! I'll go fetch him." Oxyura hurried to call over a young handsome adolescent, who was busy entertaining a few of the younger cubs with a story. Hermes stood up and bid goodnight to the cubs, who yowled in displeasure but were led away to bedtime firmly by another broodmother. He followed Oxyura back to where Boulder waited, shyly greeting the lioness with a polite nod. "Are you adopting me?" Hermes asked, tentatively. He looked towards his broodmother, who nodded. Molten Freddy was back. Everyone, hide your food. He was here alone this time, cheerful. "Hi! My king sent me here to adopt a lioness. Im pretty sure her name is Penny?" He said, going towards Fisi. Moonlight walked up to Silk with two younger males walking beside him. "We would like to bring home Misty and Spiller, my younger half-brothers seem to have taken a liking to them." Minjii made his way to an adoption center that he was told he should go to by his queen, Alyssum. He was a little nervous, because he was prone to snapping at cubs, but maybe he could keep himself under control today. He stood for a moment, watching the cubs as they tumbled around, care-free. He had to admit, it was sweet. Minjii put on his best smile, and approached on of the broodmothers (Albino).
