 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Soulstriker stalked in, his ears pricked and at the alert. He wasn't used to doing these kinds of things, as he was just promoted to king a few days ago. He approached Machwa, his short tail twitching nervously. ``Hello. I would like to adopt Flame and Wild please. . .`` He huffed, his mouth moving awkwardly in an attempt not to catch his muzzle on his long teeth. He seemed like a somewhat powerful king. ``I promise to take good care of them. That is, if you allow me to.`` He finished, his ears pricking. He was trying not to be self absorbed for once. Brendon walked in to a den called "Nyumbani" and looked around. The king was coming close to retirement so he figured he might as well add onto his pride before he retired. Brendon let out a huff. "So many to choose from." He said to himself. After what seemed to be a long while of looking around he walked over to a broodmother. "May I take that cub?" He pointed over to Crush with his tail. Neith smiled, looking around, she paused, eyes landing on Cloud and Leopard. It was rather clear that lighter cub was much older, but Leopard seemed to have an energy she liked. She turned back to Fisi, her ears back, she inhaled softly. Leopard seemed stunning but something drew her to Cloud, she smiled. "That young lioness, the white one, what's her name? I feel like she may fit." she chirped, adjusting the way she stood, glancing back at the cubs. "She seems rather pretty- so I won't be surprised if she's taken, if she is, may I know the name of the other?" she asked "I'd like to talk to them but not without being able to address them!" 0 players like this post! A deep bluish furred lioness enters the clearing, pawscratch on the ground read 'Shelter of Nyumbani ahead', and 'Shelter of Mtoaji next clearing'. The graceful lioness wandered until she found two adols roughhousing around between the two territories. A dark male adol with a shiny bum (Xavier) was under and seemingly losing to an undead pink and blue looking girl (Valisineria), she walked up to the two, chirping "Looks like this one is a fighter, you could learn from her boy, but I could teach you both how to be good hunters, that is if you'd like to join my pride?". Raihalo walked along the path back to Nyumbani, but noticed a path slightly off to the side that was not there before. Slightly confused, he took this side path until he entered a clearing. A rock that was near the entrance had Mtoaji carved into it. Raihalo cautiously stepped into Mtoaji to watch the cubs play and possibly bring one home, when he noticed 2 cubs in the distance. “Come on Nyx! Pleaseeeeee!!! I need to get more toys!!!” The elder one cried. “O-okay Yara... if you’re sure...” the younger one that seemed to be named Nyx mumbled before smiling and giving her toys to the one named Yara, although it wasn’t too long until a broodmother came over to scold the pair. Raihalo laughed, remembering how he was as a cub and amused by the shenanigans. He decided they would both be a great fit, and walked up to cubs and the brood mother to inquire about taking them home... 0 players like this post! Like? |

The king known as Hisaiah walked into the den, it being filled with cubs, some sleeping some playing, others just sitting around thinking, then spotting a female whom he assumed to be one of the broodmothers, he padded up to the pretty female and nodded politely to her. ḧello, i am here to adopt a cub! may i take a look at them? the male asked kindly. 0 players like this post! as the male padded around the den, a slightly older cub caught his eye, good form, kind to the other cubs. the male decided she would make quite a good fit for his rather small pride. padding over to the female softly he smiled to her. "hello, I'm king Hisaiah! what would your name be?" the large feline asked softly as he awaited a reply.. as the young female replied with "hi King Hisaiah! I'm Root!" the male nodded kindly.
