 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Folami Khari padded gently along the way, his largish frame relaxed and slightly submissive. A thick beard lavished his chin, and his mane was neatly combed back from a lesser noctule; the scent of fresh strawberry juice wafting from his mane. It was a plastered thickly in his mane, and as he walked along the way, the twigs of a dwarf willows and meatatarian mud filtered his coat. A shorter, but equally muscular lion merely paced himself behind, his elysian coat nicely groomed by himself. The fatherly Sub looked over to the prospect den, and what he seemed to be brood mother. Folami murmured softly to his sub, ears going down, " Per favore, non-imbarazzarmi..." The sub only nodded, nuzzling the older king softly. " Ciao! " The two males greeted in unison, their frames sitting down- looking at and around the lovely den. -* Per favore, non-imbarazzarmi meaning " Please don't embarrass me." in Italian, the language of Folami Khari's pride. 0 players like this post! Dew glanced up at the King as he came closer, noticing the radio collar around his neck. She also noticed he was one of the few lions that actually looked like a lion, with the plain fur and plain mane. She liked those types of lions more than the newer ones, who had all the markings filled. She stood up and padded over to the king, bowing her head softly at him and his sub male politely. "Hello. A golden pelted figure appeared on the outskirts of the Mtoaji’s shelter,looking around with his amber eyes. He spotted a striking lioness with dark spots covering her fur,resembling that of a cheetahs. She was surronded by some cubs,so the male assumed that she must of have been one of the broodmothers. He aproached,politely greeting the lioness and introuducing himself. “Hello there,fine weather isn’t it? Some bush birds have chirped around me about Mtoaji adoption centre,and with the guide from an one legged stork lead me upon here. Say,is this the right place? I’m the king of a decently sized pride,looking for some clean lines cubs,and I go by the name of Goud. The pink-tinged lioness batted her soft aqua eyes and purred, licking one of her paws before speaking, "Welcome to the Mtoaji Shelter, Goud. I'm glad you have found the journey here easy. My name is Rhodonessa and I am one of the broodmothers of this shelter. We have plentiful amounts of clean-line cubs waiting for adoption! "Oka, here," Rhodonessa waved one paw to gesture to a less-rowdy cub, observing the others. "Is one of our most mature and peaceful cubs, even at her young age of 7 months. She is an excellent hunter already and is sure to be a brilliant one with more time, training, and experience." She nodded at Goud as if she was smiling to herself. "Coincidentally, she also has an extraordinary natural feline marking that suits her brilliant fur. She seems the perfect fit to your pride! Lunara walked up to Dew at shelter four and purred,”I found these two walking around on my territory. I asked around and found out they were up for adoption here. As I was walking back, I fell in love with their personalities. Could I adopt them?” She then pointed at Truth, who was climbing a rock, trying to reach a butterfly that was flying overhead, then pointed to Cici, who was sitting, tail curled calmly around her flank.
