 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

(apoligies for late reply!) Goud hummed and nodded in response. “Of course,little Oka seems promising but I would think it’s only fair for both of us to meet before she joins her new pride. But my,am I glad to have found a future huntress like her.” He smiled a little,turning his head at the direction of where one of the cubs that were peacefully resting that had some stripes that defined one of the usual feline markings,inspecting a pair of tussling cubs nearby. 0 players like this post! Oka got up from her sitting place knowingly and peaceably nodded goodbye to her friends. She smiled up at Rhodonessa. They returned to where Goud was sitting patiently and Rhodonessa settled down again and Oka stayed politely and silently alert. "Hello." She greeted. Oka pondered this quietly. "I would be honoured." She dipped her head. Oka bid goodbye to her fellow cubs, who were sad to see their playmate go, but were happy she would have a home. Oka smiled at Rhodonessa, rubbing cheeks and purring a thank you. As she also said her farewells to the other broodmothers, she turned to Goud. "I am ready." She announced. Lunara walked up to Dew at shelter four and purred,”I found these two walking around on my territory. I asked around and found out they were up for adoption here. As I was walking back, I fell in love with their personalities. Could I adopt them?” She then pointed at Truth, who was climbing a rock, trying to reach a butterfly that was flying overhead, then pointed to Cici, who was sitting, tail curled calmly around her flank.
