 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

The broodmother watched cautiously as a new lion entered the den. After all,she was still new to lions coming in and out of her den. Her gaze traveled as he moved. As the male stopped to glance at twister her ears perked, listening. As the male turned to her, she smiled looking down at twister before nodding. "Of course you may" she said happily. Petalrain walked along the path to the shelter of Itanya, as she had heard that it was the newest shelter, and she had wanted to see if there was any cubs that caught her eye. Walking inside the cave, she peered around and spotted Amina grooming some of the cubs and adols. Approaching Amina, she glanced around and saw a beautiful grey cub. Petalrain walked up to the cub and asked, “What is your name little one?” The cub replied, “My name is Shadow.” Petalrain crouched down and said, “Would you like to join my pride Shadow?” Turning around to Amina, she asked, “Could I adopt Shadow?” 0 players like this post! The lion walked around a path. He heard some whimpering from a near by cave and approached it cautiously, tiptoeing quietly by the entrance, peaking in to see a group of cubs, some near adulthood. The sign above the den read "Shelter of Itanya." He gazed around, seeing a tired lioness grooming a cub. She seems tired. He realized. Maybe I can take some cubs off her paws. Seeing two that caught his eye, he asked politely what their names were. "Jenga and Pepper." She replied. The cubs looked at the lioness as their names were mentioned. They seemed friendly and he thought they would be a good addition to his pride. "May I take them off your paws?" He asked, tilting his head. "May I adopt Pepper and Jenga?" 0 players like this post! Elias approached the Nyumbani shelter, taking a look at the vast array of cubs. They were all so cute! It was hard to pick just one. His pride was in desperate need of new members due to the discontent in the pride among the lionesses over him taking over the thrown. The massive primal was as gentle as a retriever as he played and tussled with a cub named Eagle. "Do you think I could adopt her?" He looked towards the broodmother. Meanwhile, his queen Andua was busy visiting the Itanya shelter. She had taken a fancy to a young cub named Shadow. @bluefox Delroch strides through the underbrush, leaving sizzles and smoke in his wake as he eyes the cubs curiously. He had heard that this den was full of younglings in need of a new home. With a showy strut, he fluffs his mane and makes his way over. His emerald eyes land on Kijivu and he clears his throat. "Pardon me, miss. I was hoping to adopt the small pair playing with a civit skull over there." He motions to Owl and Safari, giving a rather adoring, fatherly smile at the cubs. @One_Of_The_Misfits The mighty Primal wanders past, but only for a moment before catching the eye of a small group of teen lions. Bean pokes his head into the den, having heard of group taking in cubs he had decided to investigate. A lioness with a crown of bones walks up to him with a smile. "Welcome, you can call me Fisi. If you have any questions feel free to ask." Bean nods, suddenly feeling awkward as he shuffles further into the cave. There's a number of cubs and adolescents playing, with even more sleeping in piles along the back wall. Bean startles however as a small cub darts at him with a growl. She dives and headbutts his leg, bouncing back to glare up at him. "My name is Deer and you're going to have to prove yourself worthy before I let you pass." Bean grins at her, tail flicking side to side as he nods and proceeds to bat at her lightly with his paws. The two play hard and as Bean collapses on the ground with a groan Deer climbs on top of his back and promptly falls asleep. The lion looks around for Fisi, spotting her herding a few cubs back into the cave and waves her over. "I'd like to adopt this one, if that's alright." 0 players like this post! Like? |
