 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Leoardspot walked into the den. She had been on this path many times, and was coming again to see if there was any new cubs she liked. Leopardspot greeted Waiura and looked around in hopes of finding an adolescent to take home. Her eye caught on a beautiful adolescent with golden skin with markings of that both a tiger and a leopard. As the adolescent saw Leopardspot looking at her, she bounded over quickly and sat in front of Leopardspot. Leopardspot was surprised at how balanced and in control of her bounds she was. She asked "What is your name young one?" The adolescent replied " I'm Meadowlark! Are you here to adopt me? " "Yes," Leopardspot said. (I'm a shelter owner but the temptation is great) Mytique journey was far and long but at last she had reached her destination. The shelter that would hold a new cub for her evergrowing pride. Padding in, the normally harsh lion was quite soft, her gaze testing on each cub in turn as she pondered them. Then a beautiful cub caught her eye. Turning to the young female she asked.... "What's your name young one? " The cub bounded up to her with a grin on her face. "Im swan! Will you adopt me?" The female replied.... After a moment the queen nodded. "I would love to young one." Looking around for a broodmother her gaze landed on Fisi... "Hello, may I adopt swan?" The queen asked her gaze flicking back and forth between the cub and the broodmother. 0 players like this post! Fish trotted into the shelter with a feeling of excitement. He knew that today, someone new would be joining his pride; someone smart and strong, but brave too. Padding over to a corner to drop to his hanches, peering around the room for someone who would catch his eye whilst his tail swished across the dusty floor behind him. A sudden pressure on his tail made him startle, head whipping round to see a small club with their claws dug into his poor skin! The cubs bright blue eyes were laughing at his look of shock, and the small creature rolled to the side with a laugh. Fish shook his head and chuffed in amusement before leaning close. "And who might you be, you tiny terror?" He eyed the brood mother watching their interaction like a hawk. The lioness Tigress was as fearsome as her moniker implied and he had no wish to get on her bad side. The cub bared its tiny teeth in a grin before loudly declaring that she was "Naamah!" and that he "Smelt weird". Fish huffed out a breath before responding. "My pride lives far away by a River." He eyed the proud cub softly before murmering "I don't suppose you've ever had alligator before? You could try it if you came to live with me." 0 players like this post! Raiu decides its time to come back and select a male cub to start grooming as an heir. Noticing coal he quickly took an interest in the young cub and walked to the lioness he has seen “I’d like to take this young male home with me if that’s possible?” 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Jackdaw Just being sure, are you talking about the Noble shelter? I have a cub named tigress and one of the shelters has a blood mother named tigress, and they are two different dens, so I'm just cleaning up my confusion 😂 ) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jashka entered the Nyumbani den. She had suffered a miscarriage earlier today and swiftly decided to partake on a journey to the famed adoption center. Her heart was heavy, sorrow overtaking her. Amina watched as the king walked in following his gaze as it rested upon two cubs for the slightest of a moment before he turned to her. as he turned she smiled, the cubs were finally getting a home! flicking her ears happily she listened as the male questioned her about the names of the two female cubs in the den. "those are Ash and Cashew!" she replied smiling to the male. "cashews quite a handful and Ash can be quite the trickster but i trust you'll take care of them?" as the male replied the female flicked her tail in motion for the two cubs to come to stand by her. "Goodbye, dear ones! it is now your time to go to your new home!" she said happily wish a quick nuzzle to both cubs. turning back to the king she dipped her head "thank you for adopting them" sending!)) 0 players like this post! A young king walks in the den, he lay down by two cubs, a young female and a handsome male adol. "You two look like you'd have a great pride one day, would you like to come with me and accomplish that?" the fluff male asks with a bright smile.
