 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Clea padded slowly into the Elysium shelter, and smiled as she looked around for a new addition to the pride. Flicking her tail softly, she walked over to a beautiful adolescent with stunning eyes, and asked her what her name was. "I'm Tuxedo" the young lion replied. "Well, Tuxedo, would you like to come home with me? We have lots of friendly lions, and we will take good care of you." Tuxedo's eyes lit up, and she nodded. Clea smiled happily and, seeing a broodmother a little way away, called out to her. "Hello! May I adopt Tuxedo here? She will make a wonderful mother in our pride, I am sure. Yixing tiptoed quietly into the shelter, head darting this way and that, as if he were afraid some horrid beast would come jumping out from the corner of his vision. The shy male tucked his chin to himself, blinking distantly — He seemed always absent-minded, and with this, his gait was unsteady and odd. Ever since his queen Baekhyun's passing, he always felt as though her ghost loomed over him, menacing and judging for every decision. It was partially the reason why he was such a shaky mess now, but he's always been this way at the start. Maybe not as obvious, but still... He looked up at the den entrance then, with his gaze drifting to any available broodmiother. With a nervous energy about him, he approached a small female cub that was sitting alone, gnawing on a bone. There was something about this cub that he felt drawn to, a sort of lovable aura. He swallowed hard. "Hi," Yixing said awkwardly, waving a paw and seating himself uneasily near her. The cub startled, turning sharply towards him. He winced and flinched, recoiling back. "U-Um, nevermind. I'm... I'm not even going to try to s-socialize with you!" He squeaked out, scrabbling back so fast his backside slammed into someone quite hard. (The cub in question is Squirrel from Nyumbani, and whoever he bumps into is your choice! Vikela growled as the visitor crashed into her. She was about to snap at him, but then his scent hit her. Had she met him before? No, he was unfamiliar. But he appeared to be from Baekhyun’s pride. Vikela’s scowl turned to a smile. “I knew your last queen,” she said with a purr. “We were close friends. Well... perhaps not friends, exactly, more like rivals. But I knew her well, and I miss her.” She shook her head to clear it of all the memories. “I notice Squirrel glaring at you,” she said with a chuckle. “I assume you tried to talk to her. You’re welcome to take her. I’d be glad to know that she’s going to a pride I’m familiar with. (Of course I remember you!!! Yixing shrank back a little, maybe as to make himself as small as possible. For a felis, he sure was acting more of a newborn than what his primal appearance dictated. "Sorry," He said, bowing deeply in an awkward, clumsy gesture. At what she said, his eyes flew wide and he looked back up with a curious gaze. "Oh..." He said, unsure of what to say at that. Great, he managed to make a fool of himself in front of someone who had known his predecessor. This was absolutely fantastic. There were already a million thoughts running through his brain. Was he going to get sent off without a cub because of his idiocy? Or was it because of this brood's rivalry with Baekhyun? But as she continued, the fur beginning to bristle on his pelt laid down once more and he exhaled a sigh of relief, rubbing his face. "T-Thank you, ma'am," He said politely, with an endearing, albeit shy smile. Despite his obvious physical strength, his personality was so incredibly soft, that it may have come as a surprise to someone who was unfamiliar. "I— No, I mean my broodmothers, will take care of her." Once more he bowed his head before he turned with a fidgety stance to Squirrel again. The cub still looked unimpressed, but with a silent look, she trotted up to him and allowed him to carry her. He let out another one of his relieved, signature sighs before slipping out of the den. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mystery walked inside the shelter, looking around curiously. As they looked around, their gaze met with several cubs, some of them smiled at the sorcerer while some of them looked rather distrustful. 'They all look so sweet! I wonder if I can bond with any of them.' They shot a friendly grin at the cubs. 'Well, hello there cubs! My name is Mystery! And who are you guys?" The cubs introduced themselves one by one. 'All right! Nice to meet you! Well, I need to talk to the broodmothers, but I can give a piggy ride on the way!' Two younger cubs squealed excitedly as the sorcerer crouched so that they could hop on. And with that the leader headed towards the broodmothers with big step, heavy steps, while making sure that the cubs are safe on their back. "Oh no, you guys are gonna fall off!" The cubs laughed excitedly. Soon enough they arrived to the broodmother. There Mystery let the cubs off their back and turned to the females. They nodded and smiled. "Hello their! Mystery looked at small female cub, their dawn eyes glinting mischievously. 'What do you think little one? Wanna cub home with me?' Bat nodded shyly. 'Alright! Then it is settled!' They chuckled. 'Come on, hop on my back, I'll give you a piggy ride home!' Mystery crouched down and the cub climb on them. Now the leader turned to the broodmother. 'Thank you so much!
