Before they left the three quickly went over to the adoption place. Sending the queen in she looked at the cubs and picked two out, Stormcloud and Moth. "May i have these two please?"

Recognizing the scent of the lions as that of a familiar pride, Vikela relaxed a bit. “You certainly can. I’m glad to see those two find a home, especially since Moth is nearly an adult.”

Karkitak slowed his pace upon arriving at the Nyumbani shelter. In his youth the ferus has heard both his father and grandfather speak of a pride who adopted out cubs. A few of his pride members had been from this shelter, and they happened to be the sweetest lions he had ever had the pleasure to meet. And so, taking it upon himself to introduce some new lions to his growing pride, he had decided to check out the shelter.

Karkitak glanced around the area and chuffed, twas a rather clean establishment. And the cubs seemed to be enjoying themselves, over half of them running around and the other resting in the shade. One cub in particular charged into his leg and attacked, biting and snapping. He took one look at the sunset splattered cub and smirked. “Hello there love. Wanna come home with me?” After the cub took a second she began to nod vigorously. “I’m Starburst!” The cub grinned at him and batted his leg, “Can my friends Tsunami and Kestrel come too? They’re really nice and we play fun games all the time!”

“Of course love, just let me find a broodmother to speak with.” He once again to the time to look for a lioness, and low and behold there happened to be a tawny lass (Khatiba) nearby. He began his approach, head dipped in respect. “Pardon me my dear, I was hoping to take these three lovely cubs back to my pride.” He gestured towards the trio behind him.

(@Tree_Yiska So sorry for the late response! I’ve been super busy lately. Unfortunately Kestrel died because I forgot to protect her and Tsunami aged up and left, but I can send Starburst over! Sorry again.)
(@Blix The owner of that shelter had originally said she’d be back by the 15th but she doesn’t seem to have been active and I haven’t been able to get in contact her. I have a list of who gets what cub when she does return and I will let you know when she’s back!)

Artaxerxes-Hyde smiled contentedly as he watched his pride flourishing in the evening light. The lionesses were grooming each other while discussing the days hunts, and the many adolescent lions were playing "keep away" with a well-worn rib bone. Suddenly, he noticed a lone figure, drawing shapes in the dust of the den floor.
After watching pensively for a few minutes, he approached.
"Anise, what are you doing here alone?"
The cub looked up, eyes wide as she realized she was being addressed by the pride leader.
Averting her gaze, she murmured, "I'm playing, Artaxerxes."
"By yourself?" Purring, Artaxerxes gestured to the activity all around. "Surely there is someone here you could solicit to play *with* you?"
Anise shook her small head tiredly. "It hasn't been as fun around here since Tähtisumu and Faberge aged into adolescents. They haven't had as much time for me, because of all they fun they've been having with the older cubs."
Artaxerxes frowned. "What about Caprice's cubs? Or Riki Tiki Tavi's litter? I'm sure they'd be great fun if you got to know them."
Anise shrugged. "They're too young to be much fun yet, and their broodmother would hardly let me near them anyways. Not until they open their eyes, at least."
Slowly, a plan began to form in Artaxerxes' mind. "I think I know how to solve your problem, Anise."
Turning, he stalked out of the den, leaving the cub to watch him go, a hopeful glint in her eyes.
Artaxerxes had heard of a place where cubs without prides could go to seek sanctuary, at least until they found a new home, and he believed it was time he finally pay this place a visit.
Setting off on his journey to the Nyumbani shelter, he arrived in no time. The first thing he noticed was the bounty of cubs that were currently calling the shelter home.
"They seem so happy here," he thought nervously, "I hope they could find a similar happiness with my pride."
Lost in thought, he barely noticed the young cub who had stopped play to approach him, staring up at him with wide eyes.
"I've not seen a lion like you around here before," she mewed curiously.
"I suppose not, no," he purred, "what's your name, then?"
"Petal!" she squeaked shyly.
"And how old are you, Petal?"
"I'm nearly ten months old!"
Chuckling, Artaxerxes-Hyde raised his tail amiably. "It seems like you would make a fine friend for another cub I know, who's near similar age to you."
"Really? Where are they?" Petal bounced with excitement, darting around Artaxerxes at a youthful speed.
"She lives back with the rest of my pride. Would you be interested in going to meet her?"
"Yes, yes, yes!"
Artaxerxes nodded, feeling sure now that he had found the right cub, he responded, "Alright, let me speak to your broodmother, and see what she thinks."
Approaching a lovely maltese lioness known as Amatshana, he dipped his head respectfully before speaking.
"I am Artaxerxes-Hyde. I came here with the hopes of finding a nice cub to bring home to my pride, so that one of my cubs could have a new friend. Your cub over there, Petal, has really caught my eye! Would you be willing to leave her in my care?"

Mabuk was walking to the shelter from that he has heard so much rumors from his lionesses in the last days. Elysium. Some lionesses should takes care at this place of a lot of cubs and young teens. Cubs and young teens that all search for a new home to stay for the rest of live.
Locking around in the den, he was suprised how much kids living here. Mabuk lowered is head near on of the brootmothers and then he saw her. A young girl in a dark spot in the den. The white furr daw his attantion on her. He smiled. This girl should be the one that takes the free place in his pride. He asked a playing group of cubs about the name from this shiny beauty. Rivera. He nodded and tourns to on of the broodmothers to ask for the young whitefurry teen.

Mabuk lowered again his head to the broodmother, sitting down and waiting for the little girl, thats leaving the dark spot in the den and came near. "Thanks that you would like come whit me. You will not repent this decision. Come, all will love to meet you"

His last look drives to the brootmother "Thank you."

A scruffy-maned lion approaches the shelter known as Nyumbani. He'd heard of this place from his former king, who'd adopted him from a similar shelter, as well as some of his sisters and quite a few pride members. He hadn't been back to that other shelter in some time, but he wanted to do his part and help rehome some cubs like he himself had been.

Smolderstar-or Jyothi, as he would insist you call him-looked around the area with bright pink eyes, which lit up as he saw a broodmother. "Greetings, ma'am." Despite having come from an outside pride, he'd spent so long with his own isolated pride that he'd taken up their accent and language and clearly seemed a little bit unfamiliar with the common tongue. His voice was thick, laden with an exotic accent, and he pronounced each word slowly as if trying to remember how each syllable was pronounced. Certainly, to an impatient lion, he would seem a fool and be very irritating.

"I am known as Jyothi where I come from, and I have come in search of cubs for my pride. If you will let me, that is," as he spoke, his eyes had taken to drifting lazily around the shelter, taking in two cubs of note. The only male, a rather strong looking cub with a peculiarly bobbed tail. Was this one of those primal-types that had recently visited his pride?

The other one was a bit older, with a blue pelt that shimmered in the sun, covered in pale grey blotches.

"I'd like to bring home those little ones," he gestured with his muzzle at Cody and Tide in turn.
