@Berenos, @Kich, and @Pudding It’s perfect for February since it is stationed around advances on other lions, and it’s intended as a failed advance; you won't always succeed with flirting. Also, people who aren't interested in engaging in a relationship can still be friendly; they don’t walk around with a Resting Bitch Face, you know?  0 players like this post! @Elliot I wasn't implying anything of the sort, and you seem to have missed my point completely. Going from a "mysterious smile" to "slap you in the face" with no provocation is quite the overreaction, it is implied in the whole encounter that we don't care about her imput whatsoever while in other event encounters it's kind of flirt succesfully or not and then it fades to black, instead of this whole "this female is free real state". The whole thing portrays both sides poorly, and no "resting bitch face" would help it in any way  As far as I know, you can be friendly and still say that you aren't interested in things without things escalating further. 0 players like this post! But there are failed attempts to flirt already like the two grooming lionesses. This seems like a better encounter because the lionesses are already preoccupied and aren't expressing any interest in you. If a lioness approaches you during the "it's time to get busy" month and you respond accordingly, it just seems like it goes from 0 to 60 to then have her....hit you...for smiling Like situations where I think flirting could be a failed attempt: 1) She's minding her own business and you saunter up and start flirting. She tosses some HS behind you and while you're busy trying to pick them up she vanishes 2) A group of lionesses are crouched in the bushes, whispering to themselves. When you go over and make a scene, they become agitated since you've chased away the prey they were stalking. One of them slaps you as they stalk off to find something else to eat. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Elliot If you write the dialogue to be more in tune with other encounters I'm sure it'd be fine. My issue is with the lack of communication from the lioness and the *"She's DTF!" -----> "As you smirk and walk toward her, the lioness lets out a growl and slaps you before turning to run. Ah, well. She dropped something!"*, because that, as far as I can see, is not flirting, but assuming she is interested and being slapped for simply approaching her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Okay, I changed it to: "You smirk and strut toward her, and start boasting about your large... assets. She listens patiently, but, when you ask if she'd like to see these for herself, tells you that she's not interested. Ah, well. She left you something for good luck!" Yeah, I mean I'm borderline on the new phrasing as well. Just because overly long thing is a bit more mild than large assets. But also this is the event that has a bunch of drawings of lions and hyenas in the middle of the action so its not like its all that weird?? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe explicit wasn't the right word, but when one offers such a thing for someone that is not showing any interest whatsoever that delves into harassement territory - again, instead of just doing some harmless flirting you're forcing those interested in sexual relationships to be either stupid because "we" don't see the lioness is not interested or "we" see but don't care, and then make such an offer? Having the lioness actually say she's not interested is great, but if only we could just not be The Asshole that would be even better :'D 0 players like this post! Like? |
