Addendum: I made this years ago and it still gets a little traffic. I don't know how exactly I feel about it anymore, however I think it's still important to leave up and on the table due to how many people care about it. There's still decor that bothers me, like the starving puppy/cub decors but I don't see an easy way for the team to make it so a player hides specific decor but not a bunch of others they don't want to hide. And then deciding what gets included: there's so many individual triggers and fears that it's impossible to really pick them all out. Looking back the amount of work this would take is more that I imagined back then, unless somehow the code for hiding pregnant lions is reusable. I'd still love to hear everyone's thoughts and takes on censoring sensitive art on the site, though, especially if you have actual experience in web development or the work end of things! Just please keep it civil and respect where others are coming from :> Recently many people, including myself, have been bothered by the maggot decor in the event so I’ve changed the title to be more inclusive. This still applies to lethal art and any other grotesque art This personally does not bother me, but I can see how it bothers some people. You can be looking through lions and come across a scary lethal, a lion with some scary decor, ect. While this is a 16+ game and certainly not for the faint hearted, some of these mutations and decors can strike certain phobias and are highly disturbing As such, I think a toggle option to hide these things would be very useful. The toggle could be located in den options? This toggle will make it so that players who want to see the mutations are not affected, but those who don't won't have their experience spoiled! perhaps when going to a lion with these decor/mutations, a pop up can show up saying "this lion has disturbing material. Proceed/Back" and perhaps a link to change the toggle can be included in the pop up. It is NOT required but if you no support (since there is a lot) explaining your position would be helpful! Perhaps I can edit the suggestion |

This doesn't bother me, but I know some people hate seeing lethals. Support 0 players like this post! Like? |

i dont see why anyone would nosupport this. all this would do is make the game more accessible and enjoyable for more people, which benefits both the game and the players. even at a technical standpoint, it's not hard to make a few decors or encounters invisible at the press of a button. even i, a person with no triggers, am freaked ot by cyclopia, harlequins and some of the more gorey encoubters and decors. obviously, support. 0 players like this post! Everyone has the freedom to no support, it also has to be kept in mind I've been in lots of drama in the past and pretty much half the site dislikes me, so that could be it XD it's their right to, so. Anyways, anyone with an opposing opinion to the suggestion is welcome to voice their opinion. Maybe I can edit the suggestion with whatever in mind! 0 players like this post! Like? |

this !! is a really good idea. harlequin ich and cyclops cubs tend to make me feel nervous and esp people who have fears concerning blood can have it bad looking at some of the decor. thankfully im not that bad on that stuff but itd be a nice toggleable option for those who are 0 players like this post! Roseb, those lethal mutations are creepy, so this will be a good idea to turn the images off. I hope the admins add this suggestion in this site soon... 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm not supporting or not supporting. While yes I do think this would be a good idea, I do believe this would be a potentially difficult thing to code into the system. And who would decide what decors and such would be considered "sensitive" or "disturbing"? That would also be something you would have to consider. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Zodiac Thank you for your input! The one roadblock I can see I potentially coding it into the game, or potential lag it could cause 0 players like this post! Like? |

So this is actually something I'd love to see. There's a decor called carnivorous butterflies that actually makes me physically ill every time I see it. Even thinking about it makes my skin crawl. I would love to hide it before I have the chance to see it, so I dont suddenly have to vomit while looking through Lioden. (No offense to the makers of the decor, I just have a history with... similar experiences and it just gets to me.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe there could be a sort of anti-wishlist for things you don't want to see? It would automatically include the you toggled it on -Lethal mutations -Gory decors (like survivor I hate that thing) -Undead animals, dead animals You would be able to toggle which of these you want/don't want (for example I can't stand lipamotisis or harlequin, but I'm perfectly fine with cyclopia, but I know it freaks some people out) and add things that freak you out. For example, you could add, for example, eyeless mutation or the bloodbath background. 0 players like this post! Like? |

While gore and things don't bother me, I still support it. Everyone reacts to things differently. I'm not triggered by things and don't get panic attacks, so I can't say I know what it feels like. But if it means more people can play the game safely, I'm all for it. The whole, 'it would be a nightmare to code' excuse for not supporting something is bullshit. You're a player on the site. Not staff, not a site coder. Even if something WOULD be a nightmare to code, that should NOT affect your decision to support or not support an IDEA. Coding the site has nothing to do with YOU, you're not the one doing the coding, so how can you use that as a reason as to why YOU don't support something? The 'if you don't like it, don't play/don't look at it' reasoning for not supporting is just ignorant. But I digress. Supporting this, cause it would help make the site more accessible and comfortable for more sensitive players. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I’m not quite sold on this. 1.) Who decides what’s potentially disturbing? Blood, gore, dead lions? There’s also scars, skulls, satanic symbols, etc.. Who draws the line and where? 2.) As someone who doesn’t mind, getting a pop-up can be super annoying, especially if you have pop-ups disabled and for some reason you can’t see anything. I suppose if you can toggle a “safe” view in settings, it would be fine. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lethals don't personally bother me, but I support! Idk why people are so against this idea, it's not like it would infringe on their game-play... It's a simple toggle. It wouldn't be hard to program in. In fact, we already have the toggle for pregnant lionesses. The code is already there. 0 players like this post! Like?
