I won’t post anything I have here, sweetheart. I wrote a poem on the anniversary of my puppy’s death (she was hit by a car and she was my baby; part of her name makes up Eliza Blue).

I will, however, say I revised what I wrote a minute ago. If Jazzy wants to use it, all I ask is I get credit. Not a fan that my work was deemed “author unknown” for my poor baby.. but I know someone out there needed to hear it so at least it wasn’t stolen, but it feels just as annoying.. Anyway, let’s see how this sounds for her creatures:

“Imagine this: the glowing of a cinder in the abyss of darkness. Its subtle existence is hardly noticeable unless it is being searched for, but how often is hope sought out in the middle of what appears to be a barren, abandoned wasteland? It’s resting upon a fire-blazed ground; and as far as the eyes can see, the place is layered in ashes. As the moon makes its way to the highest point it can be in the night sky, a tiny cinder in the midst of all the destruction continues to burn, holding onto the hope that there will come another day that it will get the chance to make the world shine. With the destruction of fire comes the rebirth of land. "For the former things are passed away... Behold, I make all things new." Revelation 21: 4-5”

Yeah Eliza you don’t realize but My poems suck in the fact that they all rhyme a little to much and they’re all either about my mental disabilities or my past experiences with depression like this one

You talk as though I can't hear you
Yet I'm just the right distance away
I hear all those little things that you have to say
You look as though I can't see you
As if I could not comprehend
The stares of pity you give me as I couldn't possibly apprehend
The meaning of your words, the meaning of your stares
As if you could possibly even slightly care
If you know only to give those awful pitied looks
Then you know not what they don't say in those books
What they can't and won't come to understand
Isn't it hypocritical, those methods they use underhand
Demeaning anyone and everyone who may be just like me
They cause a ripple in the masses and prevent your ability to see
Those incomplete facts and studies, a blindfold that all but hide
The person who lies underneath, the one who is on the inside
I'm not the autistic child but instead the child with autism
The ones who wrote those books, the ones who blinded you is them
So before you place your labels, before you decide my limits
Take the time to know me inside it'll only take a minute

You guys are great! I write, but it's mainly fanfiction and regular fiction or a whole lot of poetry. But it's definitely no where near either of your levels lol. I think compared to two I'm like a toddler still learning to walk but that's okay lol. It's more a stress reliever for me and helps when I'm feeling a little unfocused or not myself.

Okay, here’s how I see it, @Rivah & @Jazzy:

Yes, all writers can improve and edit and revise their works all day long. However, your vision of what YOU wrote in a state of joy, grief, anger, heartbreak, etc., it’s all for YOU. When you share it by publishing it in ANY way, you’re saying “Here is a piece of me. Maybe it’s a piece of you, too.” You write what is in your heart and in your soul and don’t let anyone steer you away from what comes out. The best of written things are those we can relate to.. and feel like we’ve been there with that person or that person must have been watching us because it sounds like he or she knows our experiences. Don’t hate on your own work. Okay? So yes, try to improve by learning vocabulary, by experimenting with phrases you don’t always use or vice-versa, by manipulating the design of said poem or book’s plot to see how it alters the work... That’s my advice to anyone that writes or wants to write, actually. Keep practicing and keep reading, and pray that what you say helps someone else. That, in and of itself, is what I believe a writer aught to aim to do.

@luzlyfyrcat: I am not a religious person, but rather I focus on my relationship with God. I am not a hypocrite that runs around hating on people while I pretend to be loving. When you can use what has hurt you to help someone else through his or her struggles/trials, you’ll soon see the aid you gave that person lifts the darkness off of your soul. You’re like “Dang! If I hadn’t been through that, there’s NO WAY I could have helped!... That was actually really helpful... Wow.” Even if it’s telling stories and you squall and break as you tell them, not everyone will accept it and may even bash it, such is the evil of the world. There are those, however, that will appreciate what you have said - like you have what I am saying - and thus the impact of kindness and of love makes a giant ripple effect that lasts for as long as people continue to cause them to occur. 💙💙💙
