Ah okay, Eliza. That is too much good for one's soul  . Thank you for the input, I've decided to post the story :'))Its just a flashback, to when the two moons of Lykina were full (yes there is two, that's how I show that this definitely not Earth) and a wolf named Winter had his 'Howling'. A Howling is basically when a wolf turns four and the howl on a very special rock that is supposed to give them strength and balance, and to help make sure they live long and healthy lives. Basically the wolves love the rock and the moons :) In this Howling, though, something.. different, happens :)) Both of the moons were full, shining bright in the sky. The whole forest glowed with an eerie white light. Every four-year-old wolf in Lykina howled when a moon was up, especially when both moons were up. But Winter didn't want to. Why should he? It didn't improve any wolves’ lives. Maybe he'd have more friends if they knew he howled with two moons, but it happened so often, there were plenty of wolves who howled under two moons. “You have to.” His mother said. Everybody said that. Just because he was the only four year old didn't mean that he was that special, but maybe they would stop bothering him if he agreed. “Fine!” Winter huffed, padding out of the den. The moonlight glistened faintly on his pelt, flickering as he whisked past trees. For some reason he was heading to the Howling Rock. It seemed in his instinct, like it was tugging him. He didn't want to go, but something told him he should go there. He was there in a moment. He stepped onto the rock. There were already about, like, twenty? Twenty wolves? Who would want to see his howling? His father couldn't care less, hence why he didn't see him in the crowd. A wolf stepped beside the Howling Rock where Winter stood. This rock had apparently been formed by a comet that had crashed here many, many years ago. ‘Many’ as in thousands. It was said that the rock was invincible, unable to be chipped by rain or crushed by any dragons. Winter glanced at the wolf who had just stood next to him, and he kinda recognized them. The wolf next to him was the sort of ‘supervisor’ for any and all Howlings. “When I say ‘go’, you howl, and your coat will turn silver, you howl for five seconds, then put your head down.” He said. “Isn’t my coat already silver?” “You’ll see.” That was his only task. Okay, should be easy. A long moment passed. More wolves gathered, but nobody spoke. Then, Winter had heard a whisper: “Go!” He howled. The whole clearing seemed to echo it. He felt as though he was drowning in the light. Like as if the moons crashed down on him as a liquid. There were many gasps. He didn't bother to look down at his fur. His fur was probably glowing. So what? Didn't every wolves’ fur glow during their howling? Winter lowered his head. The five seconds were up. He looked down to his paws to see what the fuss was about. They were white. White like the moon itself. White like the stars in a jar. Not silver, white. He’d seen some howlings from afar. Nobody gasped, and their fur just had a simple sheen. This, though. It was probably because it was him though, and not a wolf from so far away. It was normal. He hoped. But it wasn't. “Y-your pelt-” He turned. The wolf next to him was speaking in a hushed whisper. “It-” He blinked. This isn’t normal? He didn't know. He didn't want to know. The moonlight faded from his pelt, and he felt a strange feeling in him, like words ringing in his head. And he ran. 0 players like this post! Aww, thanks for that Rant Eliza. I wrote the first two when I met my first girlfriend and the last one when we broke up. Sorry in advance for any spelling or grammar errors. I'm usually really emotional when I write and don't check things like that. 1)Love is like the seasons, forever changing, morphing and flowing. Every kiss, every touch and every look setting into motion an unstoppable force that like a drug takes over your heart and soul. Love grips onto every fiber of your being until you don't even recognize yourself anymore. But that's okay because the person you use to be was nothing before this new incredible feeling came in. Before you didn't care if you ever found love but now, now it's in the air you breathe, the water you drink and the dreams you dream and you'll do anything to keep it that way. Whether that means giving a part of yourself up or selling your soul. But true authentic, real, deep love would never ask you to do that and you realize that which only makes you fall harder and faster. For a moment you're scared and confused but love envelopes you in it's warm embrace reminding you how you got here in the first place and you think that this love thing when it's honest, true and real isn't such a bad thing after all. 2)Tripping, stumbling, slipping over this one crazy feeling. I swear I only had one cup but I guess one cup was enough. Guess there's no way I can quit it. Your love is just some powerful stuff, I want it to much. Every second, every hour, every day. Man I just can't stay away. I need it like I need the air I breathe so please don't ever take it away from. Just the thought of that makes me go through withdrawal and neither of us want that at all. So be my supplier and I'll be your biggest customer. Because even though I shouldn't have did it I'm completely and utterly addicted. 3)She came in like a hurricane, quick, fast and blind. There were plenty of warnings but I ignored them because though she was dangerous I thought she wouldn't danger us. I was wrong like a bad weather man I predicted clear skies and sunshine but really got cloudy views and rainy days. And to whoever said rainy days don't last always you were wrong, or at least have never felt the endless pain that comes with loving someone who doesn't love you back. Or the constant attack of feelings for someone who came and left quicker than the wind. Leaving you to wonder if they had ever even been there in the first place as your heart race in your chest and you try to do your best to hold on to whatever sanity she left you with. Trying to move on but every move is as shaky as tree in a tornado. But that's okay though because like everyone says every storm has an eye, and it won't last long. But they don't tell you what to do after the eye has past and your thrown back into the mile per hour chaos or after when all is said and done and everything that ever stood around you is now scattered and broken and you don't know where or how to start picking up the pieces. Because peace is just a nice thought that's just too far away and you're sorry to say but you should've listened and gotten the hell out of her way. 0 players like this post! Like? |
