I understand that this might be a controversial suggestion, but I've got a few ideas on how this would world nicely. Why this MIGHT be a good idea? 1. It allows people to take breaks from their projects without feeling stressed about it, and they're able to continue from right where they left off. It would honestly relieve a lot of stress, and you wouldn't have to worry about needing to get a clone in order to take a break. Your overall experience of the game would be better, you can fall back and just take a break without ruining any progress you've made. 2. It might just be that you miss one of your old kings for whatever reason. I think it should definitely be possible to bring the king back! There would of course be reasonable restrictions, and fees to bypass some of the restrictions. 3. You might have a perfect lioness(s) in your pride that you want to breed with king in your dynasty. (From #87017) If you can think of any more reasons, let me know! I'm happy to add them to the list. How can this be added to the game in a way that would be safe for the economy? I had a few ideas, but after talking about it with a few friends, I think this would be my best idea. Basically, it would be like normal retirement, except with an additional fee of 15 GB to bring back a dynasty king. You STILL have to pay the 10 GB forced retirement fee if your king is under 15. If you are on a retirement cooldown, you STILL have to pay the 15 retirement fee. If all these apply to you, it would cost a total of 40 GB for you to bring back an old king. If your king is 15 years of age, there is no retirement fee, it's free. If you wanted to bring an old king back, it would only cost 15 GB, no other fees. There are two ways that I found work best for my next idea. When bringing back a king, I think it might be an unfair advantage to have his mutation and heritage, too. A way that we can get around that is by having a chosen heir in replacement for the king's heritage, and would replace the king's mutation too. You'd be bringing back an old king's APPEARANCE on CHOSEN HEIR'S heritage, mutation AND STATS. Another way we can deal with this is by simply using the CHOSEN HEIR'S heritage AND STATS with the old king's APPEARANCE, and wiping the mutation if there is one from the heir cub/old king. This would ONLY happen when bringing old kings back from your dynasty. After this, you can mut rep like normal- but you'd have to pay the retirement + cooldown bypass fee. Restrictions? These are just ideas, and do not have to be added to the game. -When bringing back an old king, they could be aged up right to 8. 'The experience has aged your heir- he is 8 years old upon taking the throne' (Agryo #70050's way to put it) or something similar might do as well! If you have any more ideas, again, please let me know! If you do not support this, I'd love to hear why- either in PM's or here! |

How would this be an advantage with Moby Dick if stats can’t be brought back? 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Maybe there could be a restriction of one time resurrect per king, as well, once they res, they cannot pass "Keep looks of current male" to a new stat or mut heir. As for stats, their stats would be cut down to 1/4 their stats at dying. Some low stat kings could have a stat crunch cap of say no less than 500 if the penalty puts them below 500. So a 20k king would only have 5k stats, would be restored at 8 years old, could never be resurrected again and cannot be used with a stat heir or mut heir. 0 players like this post! Like? I would really love this. I see no inherent problems as long as it basically acts the same way as keeping a current king's looks, so stats/heritage/mutations are wiped. (Which of course is stated in the OP, just reiterating since a lot of people seem to have missed it.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ohhhh I'm here for this. Not a huge fan of the heir losing a mutation if they had one, but given it's only one of two options (and people seem to agree with the option I want), I'll support regardless. Not a fan of the suggestion to limit how many times they can be resurrected, since that would kinda suck long term (consider: the game thriving another 5-10+ years), but I'm aware that's not part of the original suggestion - was just dropping an opinion on that matter. Definitely support stats being wiped / taking on heir stats. It's a must have to make sure it's not abused to raise stats. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Bringing this up again since Draconid eyes got revamped a few weeks ago, and now I really miss one of my old kings I retired long before the update (he also had Pearl base so not at all easily replaceable) 0 players like this post! Like? |

woa, recently wrote a suggestion about this, didnt know it was already made until i got notified! im happy to see others had the same idea, this is so, so well put into words! i really think this would solve one of the biggest issues i have with this game, which is how temporary hard work feels like. (not to mention the huge costs). lionesses can be cloned so its no biggie, but the fact that you cant get an old king back always rubbed me off the wrong way (thats still your time, effort and money spent. its sad to see it get wasted. thats why permakings exist). i think this would allow people to try out more different things more often. it's a shame, theres so many markings, bases i want to try out, but cant, being stuck in messy projects that i cant drop. i do want a permaking, but im worried ill get bored of it, yet dont really want to throw away all the effort and money spent, lol. really hope this will get implemented one day, full support! 0 players like this post! This could also be tied to an event as well, to potentially make it more "rare" and less """"gamebreaking""". I personally do not think that this would make it gamebreaking, but if it had something to do with the November event, it could potentially work out. Because ancestors is kind of the whole thing WITH November ! I don't know, I just think it works out well. 0 players like this post! Like? |
