Pheonix dipped her head in thanks. Supernova seemingly remembering something, suddenly said, "Zellie, can you open a portal back to our world here? Or was there any other business that needed to be attended to?" He looked around at everyone to see if they were all ok heading home as well.

Supernova looked at Pheonix who looked tired, and he was tired too, but he knew he had to get back to his pride as soon as possible. "Pheonix, you stay here with the cubs and rest, I'm going to go find out what has been going on in my absence. I will come back when it is safe for you."
"What if you don't come back?" Pheonix said, worry in her voice, "I can fight to if needed, I should come."
"I will always come back for you," Supernova said touching his forehead against hers, "And you need to look over the cubs."
Pheonix looked at their cubs, torn between helping her mate or helping her children. Finally, she nodded, agreeing with his decision. "If you aren't back in the morning I will come and find you though," she said.
Supernova nodded gratefully, "I'm sure I can just talk to Alpha and smooth things out," he said, "but I would like to talk to her alone, anyone else might make her feel threatened and she might attack. See you soon." He turned and ran into the forest and toward his territory.

Pheonix was still staring off at where Supernova had disappeared, but eventually, her cubs started wailing so she picked them up and followed Zellie, "Thank you," she said, "I just worry that I just came back, I just got another chance to have a whole family again, and he's putting that in risk." She shook her head trying to get that out of her mind. "So what is your family dynamic? I remember Linx, Remy, and Rose from the tower. But I don't know who they are," she said pointing at Triff, Atlas, and the others.

Pheonix didn't realize how hungry she was until she saw the food, her graceful demeanor forgotten, she lunged at it, tearing strips off, trying to remember to breathe. She said between mouthfuls, "What are their names?"

Sour wakes up, her heart racing. She feels burning hot, from her paws to her ears. She can sense an unnatural event has occured, and it excites her as much as it scares her. Barely thinking, she wakes up her little Julia. "We are going on a little magical mystery tour, darling. Come quietly". He seems confused, but then he always is. With a worried glance back at his sister Sky he follows Sour with small, nervous steps. Once they are out of the stuffy cave, Sour woops with excitement and breaks into a sprint; Julia grins and yells too- he races beside her, bucking every so often like a young horse. Out here, free at last with only her son to worry about Sour feels like she is able to breathe for the first time in years. The air is sweeter, her fur feels lighter, her legs longer. Sky would have stopped them; she is always thinking of the pride first. Sour feels sick at the thought of her waking up abandoned, but she has Tiny. She will get over it, carry on. Alan will take her pride, and Ross after him. Life will go on. She has no idea where they are headed, only that the snarls of rabid animals and ghostly mist will not stop them... somewhere, somebody has actually awoken the dead. Sour senses it like she can sense the rain coming; prehaps that is where they are headed, towards the story of the alive dead. She laughs as Julia sneezes and rolls head-over heels before bouncing back on his slender heels to continue the mad midnight run.

Supernova had just entered the territory, he was tired from the run and had slowed to a brisk trot. Soon he found himself on a cliff that the pride often used to watch the stars, another advantage if you looked out over one side you could see some of their dens, the center of their territory where most lions were kept at, it was just his luck too because he could see a hunting party coming in, he was about to call out and run down to them when from the trees he heard a voice,
"Supernova, how surprising to see you again."
He spun around to find Alpha emerging from the trees, claws extended a snarl on her lips. It had started to lightly rain, but that didn't mask the hate in her eyes.
"Alpha, I did I got them-" she lunged and caught off guard Supernova's face was shredded. He looked down in shock, watching the blood drip down the cliff already being washed away be the steadily increasing downpour.
"Alpha why did- you knew I was coming. How?"
"The stars," she snarled, "still guide me, they told me you would be coming back today, so I decided to patrol myself, and sure enough picked up on your scent. You have some nerve coming back."
"We can talk about this," Supernova pleaded, "We can lead the pride together as before, we don't need to fight."
"You gave up your right to rule when you choose your mate over your pride!" Alpha snarled taking another lunge, this time drawing blood from his flank, "Sirius will make a much better ruler then you ever were!"
"Sirius- What have you done to him? Leave him alone, I choose him for his morals not so that you could make him into the killer you are!" Alpha showed no response to this and instead lunged again, taking another chunk from his fur, narrowly missing his neck. Supernova realized she wasn't going to give up and was actually trying to kill him, maybe if he could pin her. This time he dodged her next attack, and his claws unsheathed to steady himself on the slippery rock. He pounced, landing on her back trying to shove her shoulders down, but she roared and threw him sideways, and he landed sliding almost off the edge of the cliff. He stood back up quickly, Alpha was already charging, Supernova sidestepped, and she spun to claw his flank, but not only did she miss, but a look of terror and surprise overcame her and it took Supernova a second to realize her back legs were over the cliff kicking helplessly in the air. Her front claws tried desperately to grip the rock, and Supernova lunged forward to grab and help her but it was too late. She slipped off the cliff, and he heard the wet thud of her body hitting the ground far, far below. He couldn't make himself look over the cliff, and he had a realization, the stars had led her here because they had wanted her to die. He howled to the sky as thunder shook the ground.

Sour finds herself in a dark wood, and the unnatural scent is strong. "Stay here, Julia. Blend in". He lays on the floor, flattening down with a huff. "Nobody will pillow fight me!" he says in a quiet, knowing tone.
Sour has no time for his nonsense, so she continues her search at a brisk trot. She is as tall as most of the youngest trees, which allows her to see well even in the moonlight, but her shoulders are broad and strung with muscles which leaves her unable to fit through many of the gaps in the dense woodland. For an hour or so she struggles, careful to not loose the scent track back to Julia, until she sees the lion she swore to slaughter. Linx. She lowers herself and watches him with bloodthirsty eyes, until he turns her back- then, she takes her chance and lunges onto his back with fury. "I swore I would spill your blood" she growls into his ear. "I intend to make good on that". She can smell two females, and cubs, nearby but not knowing much of them she decides they are not worth worrying about..
