I love the look of the Windfall markings. However, I feel that the crafting "price" (in terms of items needed) for the marking app is disproportionately high. The Windfall Markings app requires 260 total crafting materials, AND can only be crafted during November. Of the comparable craftable apps, Kimanjano Mottled Vents uses 180 materials, and Fuchsia Nectar uses 322. Fuchsia Nectar is high, but the catch is that both Fuchsia Nectar and KMV can be crafted YEAR-ROUND, as long as you have the special items such as Fuchsia Flowers that can only be collected in a certain month. Other marking apps, such as Gregarious Marks, use a MUCH smaller number of crafting items, and can STILL be crafted year-round. I'm proposing these possible solutions: A.) Keep the crafting price the way it is, but allow the app to be crafted year-round, Or B.) Lower the crafting price significantly (by half, maybe?) but keep the restriction to only craft in November. Editing to add a 3rd option: C. Keeping the crafting requirements the way they are but allow the user to choose which marking they get instead of it being random, because being expensive, month-locked, AND random is too much in one item. (Credit to Jensen for this idea.) |

+1 Support It seems like they just keep ramping the requirements on these, and in such a short window of time, getting the necessary items is gunna be rough. Buying is also pricy, especially because so many will be gunning for these and draining the available items for sale. ![]() |

I think the whole point of it being high is that it is a hard to achieve mark, which is why most of the markings are from random marking applicator, and it is relatively easy to get said items through raffles, which is how I got mine and I have managed to get 2 of the applicators, without buying gb. Are you saying that they should increase the drop rates of Interstellar Remnants, or Solaris just because they are hard to get? ![]() |

Not to mention it would be incredibly unfair to people like me that have worked hard to get all of those items short amount of time, if it is lowered or made year round ![]() |

I think the argument about them being RMA markings is null and void. These markings are all RMA marking shapes, but on regular applicators: Mottled Vents (Kimanjano, Ember) Ghost Feralis (Fuchsia, Locust, Brimstone, Angelic) Inverted Quagga (Locust, Guardian, Frostbitten) Quagga (Locust) Inverted Zebra (Red, Aufeis) Okapi (Rhino) Feralis (Sunset, Feralis) Maofelis (Aufeis, Kimanjano) All of these applicators can either A.) Be crafted with fewer materials than Windfall or B.) Be bought from a shop with a flat currency price. The advantage of them being bought from a shop is that it doesn't allow players to artificially drive the price of the applicator up by driving up the cost of the crafting materials. For comparison, 3 of Locust's 4 possible markings are RMA shapes, and the Locust app is dirt cheap to make AND can be crafted year-round. All I'm asking is for it to be made more comparable to apps that have similar qualities or are acquired in the same way. As for your second point, the policy on Lioden is that the value of items in the game is never guaranteed. The game administration can change the cost of things at will. See the Terms of Service, item 12.7 for the exact wording. Prime example: when it was released in October 2019, the Seduction app cost 7 Invocation and 7 Possession apps to craft. This year, the cost was lowered to 5 of each. Is that "fair" to the people who crafted it using the old recipe of 7 of each? Not really, no, but that's how it goes, sometimes. ![]() |

What Vox said. Adding to this, considering kings give out marks like hotcakes - often producing exact clones of themselves for people who paid miniscule stud fees due to how king marks roll - the worth is lost the moment it's applied to a king and passes repeatedly. ![]() |

Fair point, but I like that they have added a "hard to get marking applicator" like they have hard to get base applicators. As stated in my original post, the applicator is easy to get, I have gotten two after two weeks, not buying any gb with real life money. I love the markings which is why I have worked hard to get them, and even if you can't log in most days you can definitely get 1 over the month. Does it mean you can't get some other gem bases? Yes I haven't been able to get any of the eyes/bases that require the same marks, but hey I would rather the marks. This argument is the same to me as crying about how rare Interstellar Remnants and Solaris is. The argument about the fact the worth is lost once it is applied to the king is invalid, sorry but that is the same as everything, marks in gorilla cave are the exact same, you going to start complaining about how much players sell those for too? You pay for the ability to add the marking to your king, in slot you want and at the opacity it is at, not the value it adds to your king... And if they pop out like that, then you can just get a cub or lion from the trading centre. So what if it is more than any other crafting applicator? Why does that matter? It is a hard to get app which the admins clearly planned for, it is not stupidly hard to get that you would have to pay 40+gb to get. Want to know what I did? I hunted and sold as much as I can, took part in the wishes granted thread, stud out both my kings as much as possible, and created a raffle using items in my hoard and gb I had saved up. Amount of gb used? about 16gb. ![]() |

Sorry, no. I don't agree. Raising the bar higher and higher consistantly just is ridiculous. I've been exploring like nuts when able and while I have almost all the gems, that's from hoarding last year's and not using them. ![]() ...and as far as underbrush? ![]() Yeah i'll hop right on buying that to finish, sure thing. If it was only 30 or so, sure, I'd consider shelling out for a mark I liked. ![]() Edited on 25/11/20 @ 17:18:18 by [△] Jensen (#108458) |

Like I said raffles, that is how I got my underbrush. It is a matter of knowing the best ways to get items ![]() |

Good for you Tatsu, but you need to remember that A. not everyone is blessed by RNG, and B. May NOT have the funds to shell out. Yeah, I get it, I have been working on the interstellar remements quest for a full year now. I would feel a bit bad if they lowered it but I would rather have others be able to enjoy it instead of suffering with me ![]() |

I would recommend joining this thread for future reference: https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=296080710010&page=2138 And I would also recommend making raffles in the future, they are much cheaper than any other option ![]() |
