Reo chuckled again at the other's dog's sheepish tone. "C'mon now. No need to be shy, old man." His voice reeked of humor and cheerfulness. Reo could use some off-time until they hit closer to where their target area is. No need for an immediate work mode. After hearing Ferrer's words about the sun going down already, Reo sighed. He knew it might be tough to pick up some herbs once the sun has set. To make light of the situation, the dog stood straighter and adjusted his tail to be curled around his back. "Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll protect us." The dog did a small nip into the empty air. The two dogs reached the tall grass before the other scout, Shiloh approached them. Reo watched the two siblings perform their actions and he dipped his head in return to the sister. He had always admired her kindness wherever she went. His tail wagged slightly, excited to have more members during this small mission of theirs. I don't mind if you tag along," Reo unleashed a big grin, "but I'd say ask your big brother here.

The light brown canine watched the female twist her head with the wind. When she mentioned the strange smell, Reo's ears twitched and his nose went straight up into the air. Maybe if I wasn't fooling around I would have caught this already The dog mentally scolded himself. His head eventually looked in the direction the scent was coming from, and the dog agreed, "No, you're not imagining things." Reo took a big sniff from the air again to only to mumble out, "Insurgent pack.". His tail had stopped wagging by now and stiff as a tree. His whole body became almost on edge, worried about what some dog from the enemy pack was doing near their land. Could it be a spy? A possible ambush? No, he only smells one dog as of right now. Could they be hurt? There was far too many questions to have possible answers to. Reo looked back at his two packmates, determination in his eyes. Now he was definitely unsure whether Ferrer should tagalong or not. The pack would need their healer. "Maybe Shiloh and I should go? I don't want anything to happen to ya, Ferrer." Reo's ears slightly dropped against his head as he looked at both canines.
