This is an official clan thread for the Recreating Extinct RLCs Clan! Recreating old, extinct Raffle Lionesses Welcome to the thread where I'll be keeping track of my project to make a true, 100% exact replica of an old raffle lioness that is now extinct! Feel free to reply to this thread, I'll keep the most important info in the main post.
What I personally define as an extinct raffle lioness I've chosen to specifically try to tackle RLs that there are no breedable clones left of. As long as there is still a breedable clone around somewhere I chose to not consider that lioness as a target, even if the account with the clone is inactive. To me, bringing someone back that it is physically impossible to get a clone of feels the most impactful. If i know someone can log on and "ruin" all my work someday, it's less motivating to work towards. Click me to be taken to the breeding guide! Okay! Figured it was time to give a small update... A lot of people were in favor of a clan, so we've now got one up and running! :D Please feel free to join~ Click here to see the clan! Its still a WIP but everything should be ready soon! I've got some fun plans on the stuff i wanna include. As for this thread: Its definetly evolved into a lot more than just me tracking my progress on my noctis RLC project, but also just a hub for all matters relating extinct RLCs and other projects- which is awesome, I love that! So it only feels natural that this becomes the clan thread. I'm gonna edit it a bit to make it a bit less about my noctis girl and more like a clan thread, but rest assured the vibes will be the same. As for my own personal plans... Its barely been a few weeks and I already miss working on an exctinct RL lmao. I will definetly choose a new target, and hopefully soon! I might come back to that, as I'm conflicted on whether I should now try something even more ambitious (aka 2020+), or calm down and try to recreate something easy (2014-2017?). If i did someone easy, i could probably complete a lot more projects more quickly, but at the same time the RLCs wont really be that valuable. On that note, i think it could be really fun to re-raffle them once they're born, following the same guidelines as the normal weekly RL. If i did something difficult, it could probably be another year, if not more, of me working on it. Thats fun too, but i worry I'll get burnt out- especially after just becoming free of the noctis reigns over the past year. I think it would be kinda cool if people nominated RLs they wanna see brought back, and then we could maybe hold a little voting?  My only requirement is, no more ebony or noctis girls haha. If they're primarily black/dark colored, I'd rather not. Feel free to pm or comment suggestions, I'll give everyone a consideration! :'D 5 players like this post! Like? |

Yoooo, a clan would be really cool! (Already sent a request lmao) Been following this thread for a minute now, just never really interacted with it. It inspired me to try to recreate an extinct RL as well! One of my favorite things that happened was that I stumbled upon someone who was also trying to recreate the same lioness as me.  I didn't know and asked if they were selling a lioness with the marking I needed and then we both realized we were doing the same project!Pretty funny stuff! Going to king my new king tomorrow so I can officially get started with all the breeding but I told that person that if they ever wanted to stud my king for the Slot 6 Marking, they could. Decided on the 01.05.18 RL! Gorgeous girl, I'm in love with her colors! She wasn't my first choice but I ended up going with her anyway. I wanted to recreate an older RL but then I realized that they probably wouldn't be as valuable! It's unfortunate but maybe some other day. Already got most of the Breed Only traits in my pride, just missing a Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra lioness who's either low-gen or chased. I do have one who's G6 but I'm not too fond of how long the lineage is. I'm going to try to breed her with this guy after I king and make him heritageless. Luckily, I have a decent amount of male groupies stashed up!  Hopefully they can produce a cub with the Savage Mane, S6 and S8. And then king that cub, heritage replace it, and then I should be good to go as the rest of the lionesses are either chased or low gen!  Pretty excited about starting it out though! I joined the clan earlier today and have been stalking this thread for a while. I've been working on my own little project for a little over a year now in recreating the 15/12/2017 raffle lioness who was never cloned and belongs to an inactive/no longer accessible account. As two of her markings and her eyes/mane shape are applicable I have decided to do both an exact clone of the OG as well as a full BO version. Currently I have bred all 8 of her original BO markings onto my king as well as two additional BO markings in the slots where hers are applicable. For the exact clone I only need to breed on the fiery mane and peach skin and then mass breed to NCLs in hopes of everything passing onto a teardrop base. Once I have all of the markings bred onto a teardrop I will clone that teardrop and king the clone once she successfully passes one and then proceed to remove the two extra BO from the mother and replace them with the two OG non breed only markings so that she is an exact clone. TLDR, Been working on something that isn't driving me crazy like my last few projects did and look forward to finishing! 2 players like this post! Aaa its so cool seeing what everyone is working on! I'd love to make a little compilation of all current RLs being targeted, and who's been completed. And I also really like the idea of filling out the non-BO traits so you can still get a true clone, but also have an improved, more modern version. I had some things like that with my noctis girl, like eyes and skin, but unfortunately she didnt get the BO slot 7 and I never tried adding in a BO slot 9 mark. Something to keep in mind for the next girl, for sure. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@lynx (#291933) Hello, I also started my own breeding project! It is right here. I'm glad you're interested in also doing your own project! I started my own project about a week ago so I may not be the most experienced. It's been a ton of fun though and the most fun I've had on Lioden for a while! Still, I'd love to let you know what I did personally. It may not entirely work for you but it may be able to get you started! Here's the doc! Was going to post it on Lioden but it turned out to be too long. It's rushed and kinda messy/unorganized because it's pretty late where I'm at and I have to go to sleep. Hope it explains the basics though! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll answer to the best of my ability! I'm working on putting together an in depth guide on this whole thing! Its not done yet but I'll be sure to post it here once I do and make it easy to find trough the clan thread etc. I hope it should serve as a good tutorial. Heres a sneak peak of what im planning to talk about in it, for anyone curious (and if u think i forgot something dont hesitate to point it out) If you want advice you're ofc always super welcome to just ask on the thread here, and my dms are always open too. I am also hoping to make a nice overview over all the current projects so you know what RLs are currently being targeted (and if ppl are cool with it, whos targeting them and a link to their project thread if they have one), and also an overview over what RLs have succesfully been recreated.
