This is an official clan thread for the Recreating Extinct RLCs Clan! Recreating old, extinct Raffle Lionesses Welcome to the thread where I'll be keeping track of my project to make a true, 100% exact replica of an old raffle lioness that is now extinct! Feel free to reply to this thread, I'll keep the most important info in the main post.
What I personally define as an extinct raffle lioness I've chosen to specifically try to tackle RLs that there are no breedable clones left of. As long as there is still a breedable clone around somewhere I chose to not consider that lioness as a target, even if the account with the clone is inactive. To me, bringing someone back that it is physically impossible to get a clone of feels the most impactful. If i know someone can log on and "ruin" all my work someday, it's less motivating to work towards. Click me to be taken to the breeding guide! Love how everyone is so helpful and supportive! You’re welcome to include my project, I’ll update this post with a link to the thread (even though I hardly update it lol). Edit: https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429446175 Here is a small piece of advice for everyone when they choose their RL… *Medium* genetics are the most difficult!! This is because medium x medium has only a 70% (I think?) chance of passing a medium, while light x light or dark x dark has a 100% chance of passing light/dark. Something to keep in mind! It’s also important to consider how many other colors exist with the exact same genetics, because the odds of you producing the desired base is effectively divided by the number of coats with the exact same genetics. it is so interesting and inspiring to see the organization of your projects, I would love to be able to help in this regard, but I don't know if what I learned with projects involving Leonid base would help a lot  but if I can I will help in the possible and the impossible  and if any of my queens, by any chance in the future, have any brands they need, just ask and I will provide cubs with 0 players like this post! Can someone help me decide about how long it'd take to recreate the raffle lionesses from May 10, 2019 and January 22, 2021? And how do you check to see if there's any other clones? May 10th doesn't have a BO base, which is the most difficult part of any project like this. that rosette she's got means you'll probably have to use gnawrocks at some point, which can be expensive, but other than that I think you'd be able to complete that within maybe 3-4 months? January 22nd has a lot of BO attributes. pretty sure the only thing she's got that isnt BO is slot 9, so thats gonna be complicated. doesnt require tons of expensive breeding items, but will probably take a minimum of a year. as for how to check: search is the best way. you dont need to fit every marking, just get the majority, and then you can check the lions that pop up if theyre clones or not. @lynx It took quills a little over a year to finish theirs, not saying it'll take that long for you since it also depends alot on rng, but I'd be prepared to take atleast a couple months to finish it. As for the search, you can't get all 10 marks in but you can still search using the 1st 5 markings, you can also use the last 5 as well, just make sure to include stuff like the base, eyes, mane shape and color and skin to really get the best results 2 players like this post! How long it takes will depend on several factors, the first being how many lions you can get access to with markings in the needed slots and if you're not using gnaws, how lucky you are at passing those marks onto cubs. Another consideration is if your lioness has a breed only base, mane shape/color and/or eyes. There's no guarantee of time really. It could take you weeks, it could take you months. You can check to see if there are other clones by using the search function and searching for the T2 markings in that Raffle Lioness' slots. If nothing comes up, then there you go there is no clone. If something does come up, check to see if they are on dead accounts or not. If they are, then that raffle lioness is functionally extinct. 2 players like this post! The RLC from May 10, 2019 has no existing clones and the original owner hasn't been active since 09/26/22. All of her markings are breed-only except for Slot 6, Slot 7 & Slot 9. Slot 6 is a Rosette which is notably harder to pass on. You could stack up on Gnawrocks when the September event comes though. Slot 7 is an RMA exclusive marking but can also be passed down like any other marking. And Slot 9 is applicable with Piety but can also be passed down like any other marking Everything else should be applicable except for her mane color which is breed-only. Now for the RLC from January 22, 2021. She also has no existing clones and the original owner hasn't been active since 03/06/22. Her markings are all breed-only except for Slot 9 which can be added through a normal Marking Applicator and Slot 10 which can be added from Piety too. However, she's notably more difficult because of her breed-only base color, skin color, eye color and mane type. Her mane color is applicable though. Like everyone has stated, there is no set time someone could give you! It depends on your budget, ambition, dedication and overall passion. Some people don't want to spend as much currency having to crown new kings and use IBFs and other things. So, that'll take longer. Some people are willing to spend currency but have a budget, making it faster. Others will spend whatever is necessary! Which will notably be a lot faster as well. I think the most important thing is to enjoy your journey! Log outcomes! Celebrate! Even if it's something as simple as getting one marking passed on, it's more so about the journey rather than the destination (for me at least!). 3 players like this post! @lynx, @adamant I've been working on the jan 22, 2021 lioness for a little over a month now, and it actually hasn't been that bad because there was another rl released in july that same year that had 3 of the same markings in the same slots! same eye color and correct mane type as well, so I've just been trying to get one of their cubs with *4* of the marks and go from there. I've gotten a couple near marking clones of the july rl before I've gotten one with four marks  a couple of the markings are almost extinct, with one of the markings having no king either. I got lucky and had a couple of the markings in my pride before I started, but had to buy a lot of the rarer markings from tc. I would start a thread, but I am too forgetful and would not update it lol  0 players like this post! Like? |
